It was a normal day for you. You were sitting in the green room somewhat late at night waiting for Tenna to get back. You'd been in TV world for a few months and he had taken to being a sort of father figure for you since he found you after you accidently went through a dark fountain that led here.
It wasn't a normal day anymore. You first noticed something was wrong when you turned on one of the gaming systems in the room. Usually you'd be able to play it just fine, but today the light on the screen was just...too bright. You couldn't focus. It felt like it was burning your eyes.
You turned it off.
Also, since when were the lights in the green room so bright all of a sudden? Not just the screen of the game system, but all the lights.
You sat there and tried to ignore it.
You couldn't.
You wanted to cry.
Ramb would occasionally ask what was wrong, god did he sound like he was screaming. you knew he wasn't, you'd never heard him get close to a yell, but thats what it sounding like right now. you just told him you were fine and covered your ears.
you tried to bury your face into the side of the couch you were sitting in, which didn't help at all, and cried.
Then TV time ended. And Tenna came back to the green room to find you. Immedialty after you'd just started crying.
"Theres my kid! How was your-"
He saw you crying.
"Honey what happened!? did someone make you upset!?"
"you wouldnt get it..." you said between sobs.
"I'm sure I would! And even if I didn't I'd try my best to!"
Why did he sound like he was screaming at the top of his lungs!? You covered your ears again.
"Why...are you...is my voice too loud?"
He turned down his volume
"Is this better, kiddo?"
you nodded. Well he seemed accepting of that issue, might as well tell him the rest.
"Ohhh...I understand. Here, give me a second."
"RAMB-"
You winced from the noise.
"I'm sorry, I forgot. Ramb, turn the lights down!"
He did so immediatly. That was so much better already.
"Is that better?"
You nodded. "you didn't have to do that thou-"
"Shush. Yes i did! I'd do anything for you!!! Is there anything else i can do to help? I'm also going to go fix the game console's brightness in a minute, the controls are in another room."
You shook your head.
"Ok. Well tell me if there is!"
He got up to leave the green room, but went over to Ramb first.
"Ramb, please keep the lights down the rest of the night and if anyone else comes in here make absolute sure they're being quiet, ok?"
Tenna then turned back to you, blew you a kiss, and left.
"I'm gonna go fix the game system and then I have some work to do, but remember honey if theres anything that's bothering you come get me!"
You nodded and waved him bye.
You then just sat back in the couch you were on.
You were lucky to have a good dad.
