Work Text:

The forest was dark –not because it was night, but because the leaves on the trees made a canopy that blocked out any light. - While walking through the forest you can hear the leaves rustle in the wind and the forest groan as if it was living. Slowly but surely, you start to make out a cabin within a clearing near the middle of the woods. The cabin had an eerie, almost sad demeanor. The windows were boreded up with old plywood and rusted nails. Almost all the shingles had fallen off due to the old age of the cabin. The few that remain were discoloured and deformed. The sides of the cabin were covered top to bottom with unkepted vines and moss that travels throughout the cabin's exterior.

When you step inside the cabin, you start to smell ash and iron in the air –strange. - The floor creaks with every step you take. It sounds as if you're going to fall through at any moment. As you walk through the hallway of the cabin, you start to feel sick. The air feels heavier, and you start to smell more iron in the air. You quickly figure out that the cause of the smell is coming from a door near the end of the hallway. As you open the door a rotten smell follows. It makes you feel sick, almost making you want to throw up from how bad of stench is.

You eventually decide to go down the stairs leading to the basement. The stairs creek as you go down them. You eventually get to the bottom to the stairs. Your eyes are slow to adjust to the dark but once they do you make out three rooms. Two of them had archways but the other had a door. You decide to check out the rooms without a door first. The first one was plane only having some old boxes and cobwebs, the second one was the same –boxes and cobwebs. - Once you get to the room with a door you slowly walking and the smell gets worse.

You start to hear heavy breathing. It sounds as if it's coming from right in front of you. Your eyes try to adjust again, but what you see makes it clear that you’ve made a grave mistake coming here. Here was a mouth, a huge mouth; it filled almost half the room. It had several sharp teeth that could chomp you in half with one simple bite. The mouth was almost a part of the room, it has flesh like tentacles that grip to the walls. You want to throw up, NO you need throw up. But, you just stand there in fear of what might happen if you look away. What will you do/ What will happen if you look away? You might never know...
