Prologue

As Asha left the diamond spray delta, with the Cattail's blood red egg, she looked back, she was going to miss everyone, and even if she was never gonna meet Cattail's other six dragonets, she had to get this one to the other guardians, when she got there, she was hevily damaged by a battle she accidentally got in, and died, with the little MudWing egg still alive

Hearing about Asha's death, even though Hitivur wanted to mourn the MudWing, Hitivur had to get the SkyWing egg before it was to late...

Webs swam far away, with Queen Coral's egg, Webs was now a traitor to the tribe, and will be hated forever, and never see the egg him and his wife had...

As much as Dune didn't want to, he knew Six-claws had buried his dragonets egg, so Dune had no choice but to steal it...

Asha was dead, but she got the MudWing to the cave, it was unknown where Hitivur was, or the SkyWing egg, Webs made it, with the SeaWing egg, Morrowseer brought the NightWing egg, and Dune made it to the cave with the SandWing egg, with news about Hitivur. "Hitivur is dead," Dune said. "How?!?" Kestrel screamed. "He got stabbed by a SandWing," Dune said. "And the SkyWing egg?" Kestrel asked. Dune shook his head. Later, Webs disappeared, but came back just minutes before the brightest night... "Webs! How stupid are you?!? That's a RainWing egg!" Kestrel screamed at the SeaWing. "It's all I could get, Queen Scarlet destroyed any eggs that would have hatched tonight!" Webs explained.

PART ONE: Under The Mountain

Six years later

Umber wasn't a natural-hatched hero, he didn't have any legendary qualities.

He preferred to sleep, he kept losing prey when he was paying more attention to his friends rather than feathers.

"FIGHT!" His attacker howled, flinging him across the cavern. Umber had crashed into a rock wall but managed to scramble up again.

"Where's the monster I saw when you hatched?!" The SkyWing snarled at him. "That's the dragon we need for the prophecy!"

The SkyWing lunged at him again. "FIGHT!" She screamed again.

"I'm trying! Maybe if we could stop and talk–"

Kestrel then stomped on his tail. "OW! You said stomping tails was cheating!" Umber protested.

"I'm your teacher. Nothing I do is cheating," Kestrel said flexing her talons. "NOW FIGHT!"

Kestrel then lunged for him again and he crashed right into a stalagmite.

"Can't I fight one of the others?" Umber asked. "I'm much better at that."

After all, the other dragonets were his own size (nearly) and didn't cheat (well, mostly)

"Oh yes, which do you prefer? The delusional SeaWing or lazy RainWing?" Kestrel said. "Because I'm sure you'll get to choose out on the battlefield."

The SkyWing's tail felt like rubies as it lashed back and fourth.

"Kinkajou's not lazy," Umber said. "She's just not built for fighting."

Kestrel roared, and reared her back legs and flared her wings, making her seem three times bigger.

"Are all MudWings this useless, or just you?" She asked. "Find the monster inside and let it out!"

When Umber braced to be hit by the SkyWing again, she suddenly screamed. He opened one of his eyes to see Ostrich, grabbing Kestrel's tail.

"Quit picking on Umber," The SandWing said, her tail nearly ready to hit her.

Luckily Anemone came in just in time. "Alright, how about, we'll take Ostrich and Umber, and you can go be a grumpy SkyWing somewhere else," Anemone said, glaring at Kestrel.

Kestrel grumbled and walked away saying "another unsuccessful session, MudWing".

Umber sat on the ground in pain for a few seconds. "She's gonna be so mean to you during training tomorrow," He finally croaked.

"Oh no! I've never seen Kestrel be mean before!" Anemone said, rolling her eyes.

Umber laughed when she said that. "Owwww," He croaked.

"Kestrel will be sorry one day, when I'm Queen of the SeaWings," Anemone muttered.

"I thought only a queen's daughters or sisters could challenge her for the throne," Ostrich pointed out.

"Well, maybe the SeaWing Queen is my mother and I'm the lost princess," Anemone snarked at the SandWing.

Ostrich and Anemone where the two who'd always get in fights with eachother, it basically worked like clockwork. "Who ate my goat?" With Anemone in the corner eating Ostrich's goat.

Umber glanced away. "I wonder what my parents are like," He said.

"I wonder if any of our parents are alive," Ostrich pointed out.

Umber glanced at the SandWing. "You think they ever miss us?"

"I bet they tore up the world looking for us," Anemone said. "The Talons of Peace hid us well, but..."

Ostrich shifted her eyes to Anemone. "But what?" She asked.

"But what if we escape?" The SeaWing said.

"Leave?" Ostrich echoed.

"How? On our own?" Umber asked.

"Why not?" Anemone said. "I'm ready to save the world now, aren't you?"

"Um, no, we can't stop the war by ourselves," Umber pointed out.

Anemone rolled her eyes. "Yes we can! That's the whole point of the prophecy!" She said.

Umber wasn't really sure he was ever ready to save the world. He always figured the Talons of Peace would tell them what to do.

"We can't stop the world by ourselves," He pointed out. "We wouldn't know what to do!"

It was quiet for a moment.

"Just think about it, okay?" Anemone said.

"Okay," Ostrich said.

"Alright, I'll think about it."

They then heard various noises coming from another cave.

"I hear dinner!" Anemone exclaimed.

"Gosh I'm hungry!" Umber said as he started to run toward the food.

"Come on! Dune just brought some food! Cow for you, fish for me, Webs snuck some pineapple in for Kinkajou, a goat for Moon, and a roasted lizard for Ostrich!" Anemone yelled.

"Roasted lizard?" Ostrich jolted.

Anemone giggled. "No, I was kidding, you got an ordinary lizard," Anemone said.

"Oh come on! Really Anemone?" Ostrich scolded.

"Shut you're traps and go eat!" Kestrel yelled.
