Sean examines the pair of scissors in his hand. Its metallic blade gleams under the bathroom light. He was startled when the bathroom door opens. His brother eyes him suspiciously from the doorway. "Sean, what are you doing?"
"Daniel, i..." Sean looks up nervously towards the younger. "is it okay if I cut my hair?"
"What? Why do you want to cut your hair?" Daniel raised an eyebrow.
"I- I just think that it's time that-"
"It looks fine to me." Daniel cut in, inspecting Sean's hair. "You don't need a haircut."
"But-"
"If I said you don't need it then you don't need it." Sean watch the scissors in his hand zips up from his grasp and places itself back inside the cupboard.
He was about to say something, but one look at his younger brother's face and he knew not to argue against him. He casts his head down. "Okay..."
The sound of Daniel's footsteps echoes against the bathroom tiles as he steps out.
