》Love Kickoff》Daily Chat》[Question] I think I accidentally triggered Reo Mikage’s hidden route, but I just want to play soccer…

Okay, here’s my situation.
I picked the Male Player route, and I never went out of my way to grind affection with anyone. I literally just wanted to play soccer. Everyone kept saying the gameplay feels super realistic—even with the slight “superpower” elements—and that the ball physics are better than FIFA, so my friends convinced me to try it. (Some of the playstyles are actually based on my friends’ fanmade tactics.)
BUT.
Looking at my save files… it looks like I somehow entered Mikage Reo’s hidden route, and now I can’t progress the story at all. I wanted to get to the U-20 match, but I’m permanently stuck in pre–U-20 daily events…
Also, weird thing: my New Game button is grayed out, and every save outside Reo’s hidden route is just… gone.

I’ll drop screenshots. Let me explain how I entered the Reo hidden route, and maybe someone can tell me whether this is a bug and why I’m stuck before the U-20 match.
The first major thing worth mentioning is the VZ match, my first match against Reo. At the cafeteria meeting earlier, I actually picked the “provoke” dialogue option—because I really can’t stand people who think talent means they get to look down on soccer. So I honestly never expected to go into his route.
Plus there was a defeat CG afterward where Reo and Nagi looked SUPER pissed…

I tested the result of the VZ game: if you skip or let AI auto-play, it’s definitely a forced loss.
But I play mostly for the soccer matches, so I manually control every game.
Also, Nagi’s AI doesn’t really engage for like the first two-thirds of the match, at least for me. He only starts actively moving once he enters his [Passion] state. And since I’m playing third-person with full field awareness, it was honestly easier than I expected.
I thought I’d score way more, but Reo and Nagi’s AI stats are pretty high. (Maybe they scale based on player skill?) So I only won by one point.

They originally designed Reo to be JUST a side-kick to highlight Nagi. Hidden route was probably never intended to trigger!!

During Second Selection, I picked Bachira first, and when I was choosing the third member, Nagi volunteered himself. Reo looked REALLY unhappy about it, but I wanted to play with Rin, so I didn’t think much of it and went in.

Later in Second Selection, I ran into Reo again, but after that match I felt like he didn’t fit our team, so I didn’t pick him.
In random daily encounters, whenever I saw Reo, we basically didn’t talk. He’d just glare at me and the event would end.

So I totally assumed Reo didn’t like me.

After selecting the Top 6, I was torn between joining Rin or Nagi. Nagi was familiar, but Rin would give me a challenge. It was so hard to decide… so I didn’t pick right away and entered daily events.
First I got a Barou & Niko event, then this Reo’s screening room one:

In a normal dating game, you’re supposed to: type something sweet in the input box to comfort dear Reo. Then, you chat a bit to raise affection points. At last, you drag out the interaction until the game naturally ends and internally scream about the emotional moment u 2 had afterward for at least a full week… THAT’S how you taste a dating sim!!
But OP just speedran it like: “Thanks for the advice, bro.”

After finishing the Vs. U-20 Japan match, there’s a set of daily “going out” events. You can pick someone with high affection to hang out with.
So I picked Bachira—he’s the one Player has the best relationship with at the very beginning of Blue Lock.
Nagi counts as a friend too, I actually wanted to pick him… but my stream chat kept spamming that “Nagi and Reo is canon” and calling they are canonical ship, so I didn’t pick Nagi out of spite.

But then in the actual event, I ran into Reo Mikage halfway?? He was also out, maybe I got lucky.
The dialogue screenshot looks like there’s a choice, but there actually wasn’t—I couldn’t decline. The game just forced me to go with Reo.

And THEN Reo invited us to karaoke! He sang a love song for us. If there are a lot of Reo fans in this thread, I’ll try to find the recording to share. Then, I checked the official site afterward and they haven’t released any song content for him yet, so maybe the unlock rate is just insanely low and they didn’t want to spoil it.
After the afternoon outing, you get the choice to have dinner together. I didn’t expect Reo to straight-up invite us to dinner, but he did, and THEN he even offered to drive Player home afterward.
Reo is actually… kind of a sweetheart?? (Sorry, but he always glared me before…)
After we got in the car, it triggered another event where Reo apologized to me, saying he shouldn’t have been so hostile during Second Selection. I honestly don’t get why he sounded so guilty, like, it’s not a big deal?
I never required ppl to like me, and he never actually did anything to me except occasionally give me attitude during random events. So I’m totally ok with that n just let it go.
Then in the second round of daily events, I picked training instead of going out again, and somehow I triggered ANOTHER Reo random encounter. He said he just happened to be passing by and saw me. This time there was an input box, so I asked if he wanted to play with me. We ended up playing two matches together. After that he invited me to come over to his house, but I declined—I felt like it would inconvenience him.

Okay, so I finished Neo Egoist League. I picked Bastard München, and I actually faced Reo and Nagi again. I even intercepted their second combo play. Apparently some shippers hated that?? (My friends told me that)
Everyone’s skills and stats seemed boosted, the logic was great, matches were super fun. Then I decided to go for Yukimiya’s route bec chat recommended it, and I liked his story. So during the daily events, I stopped wandering and mostly stuck with Yukimiya. Before the Germany–England match, I assumed he’d be the calm, elegant, mature senpai type.
But the events showed him being clumsy, which was kinda cute. Like when we held hands near a corner, he walked straight into a wall.

After I finished the first Yukimiya event, a Reo event suddenly triggered out of nowhere. I even went back and checked my VOD, and the schedule page CLEARLY said:
“Due to limited time, no other characters’ random events will occur. Please choose carefully.”
at that time, I thought my stream was about to end anyway, and I logged off. But the next day, when I continued the save to see what was going on, I realized: The event was Reo taking me to his house.
At that point I really felt something was off. Why did I trigger an event I didn’t choose, and why did the game not give me any option to refuse? And here’s the part that really freaked me out: Does this mean… the game can actually rewrite the selected schedule? Because when I tried to head back, I got the following interaction. (This wasn’t from the livestream—I started recording directly on my PC once I noticed things were wrong. Please take a look. I know it’s “just a game,” but honestly this feels kind of scary…)
[Background: dusk street]
Reo: “■, you free later? Let’s hang out again.”
PLAYER:“Sorry… I’m training for the next two weeks.”
Reo: “What do you mean you’re practicing EVERY day? You can spare one or two, right? Let’s go see the cherry blossoms—think of it as balancing work and rest.”
[System: Please modify your schedule]
VO: Huh?? Is this normal? The schedule can be changed??? But why is there no option to refuse?? Fine, I’ll open the input box and type it myself…

PLAYER: “Sorry, Reo. I want to focus on preparing for the U-20 match, so I’m not planning to go out.”

PLAYER:“I went out with Yukimiya because we’re lovers. I already set aside the remaining two weeks for training. Sorry, Reo.”
VO: …Why did the screen freeze??Whatever, I’ll just restart. Load a save. Good thing I backed up…

The most important part is what happened after I force-quit and restarted the game. When I reopened it, the save loaded back to the point where I was supposed to re-select my schedule.
So I thought: Okay, maybe the forced event was just a glitch. I’ll pick things again properly.
But then things got even weirder.The first event that popped up was NOT the Yukimiya event I selected. As soon as I stepped outside, the person I ran into was Mikage Reo…At that moment I was completely stunned. I honestly had no idea what was happening anymore.

After that Reo completely ignored my questions and just kept pushing the event forward. Even when I typed things into the input box, he would just skip over my text and continue talking. That’s when I started feeling REALLY weird about it. Aren’t AI characters supposed to analyze player input and respond??
I don’t really understand AI stuff, but this felt wrong.
And then, when the event ended, I suddenly found myself jumping straight to Week 2’s training schedule. So I quit and loaded an earlier save again. This time, after accepting Yukimiya’s confession, I rearranged the schedule to: Training – Training – Yukimiya outing
But after finishing the Yukimiya event, instead of progressing to the U-20 match like it should, the game threw me into another Reo encounter. He stopped me on the way back and said there was STILL one more week of vacation to plan.
Which doesn’t make ANY sense.
What does this game WANT from me?? I just want to play the U-20… At that point I got frustrated and re-downloaded the game.

The 20-minute stream was PURE CHAOS…I genuinely think we just witnessed an AI becoming self-aware

First, Sprouts opens the freshly re-installed game. The “New Game” button is greyed out—completely unclickable. Fine, whatever. But then we go into the save menu and see that there’s only ONE save file left. Sprouts looked confused, clicked it, and the save loads into Blue Lock.
Isagi tries clicking around, and suddenly, Reo appears and CONFESSES. The entire chat EXPLODED. There were tons of viewers—most of them from this thread, probably Reo fans who don’t care about, yk, that “canon ship.”
Sprouts is so nice that he went along with chat’s request and accepted Reo’s confession. And THEN, when the calendar popped up, the chat went DEAD SILENT. Because all three schedule slots were already arranged: Go out with Reo - Go out with Reo - Go out with Reo (unchangeable)
Someone in chat said they knew a dev Company K and called them immediately. Sprouts started fast-forwarding the first event, since he wasn’t interested. And during the second event, when Sprouts tried to fast-forward again, the fast-forward button was suddenly completely disabled and... Good thing I recorded it:

VO: “What the—why can’t I fast-forward…?”
Reo: “Isagi, we’re lovers now, aren’t we? Shouldn’t you be enjoying our date together?”
VO: “Huh??”
Reo: “So why are you fast-forwarding? Does our date mean that little to you?!”
VO: “WHAT?? How—how does he know I was fast-forwarding?? Can AI detect that???”
[Chat is entirely rows of: ‘???’]
Reo: “But don’t worry. I’ll plan even more interesting dates for us. So Isagi, you’re not allowed to fast-forward and waste our quality times together.”

And the REALLY terrifying part was that after the three Reo dates ended, everyone knew we were supposed to naturally transition into the official U-20 matches. BUT THEN the screen suddenly cut back to the outside-of-player’s-house scene after blacking out; Reo showed up. AGAIN.
Chat went absolutely feral. People were screaming about hacks, mods, malicious code, ghost AI, EVERYTHING. Some “canon ship” fans even started accusing Sprouts of using cheats (he wasn’t).
Sprouts was shocked, because he JUST wanted to play soccer, so he tried to exit through the menu and failed?? He could only stay on the screen and listen to whatever Reo wanted to say.
Then Reo says this was the hidden route ending for him, which was IMPOSSIBLE, bec the romance AI was not supposed to break the fourth wall. At that point Sprouts got annoyed and opened the input box, questioning when this would end and he wanted to continue the U-20 matches. It’s kinda harsh; I’ve watched Sprouts for a long time n that tone clearly showed his irritation…(because it was interfering with the soccer gameplay)
Then his face suddenly went dark, very horrifying… His face literally contorted for a sec…And the entire screen glitched for a split second.
Chat was freaking out, asking whether it was their own computers lagging, but then we realized it was Sprouts’ streaming PC that glitched. N it made the glitch WAY scarier. But the scariest part?
Reo completely broke the fourth wall. HOW did this event and dialogue even exist??
[Background: outside the house]
VO: “Why did the screen flash just now??”
Reo:“I was talking about our ending and our wedding…”
Reo:“Why would you say something that cruel, Isagi? You weren’t like this before… Is it because of Yukimiya Kenyu?”
VO: “Wait, what?? Didn’t I NOT choose Yukimiya in THIS save? Does anyone in chat know what’s happening??”
Reo: “You used to be so patient with me, encouraging me, guiding me… Why would you say something like that now?! Am I not good enough?! Didn’t we agree to spend this vacation together? Didn’t you promise me? Why won’t you even spare me ONE day?!”
VO: “Hold on…Can the AI remember events from OTHER save files?? That shouldn’t be possible, right? Tech guy, can you report this bug? This is getting creepy—”
Reo: “I’ve wanted to see you for so long… but you stopped roaming about Blue Lock. You disappeared. I couldn’t find you anywhere. And when I finally saw you again…”
[Flashback CG: Reo shocked, seeing the PLAYER accepting Yukimiya’s confession around a corner]
Reo: “Were you punishing me? Because I used to say hurtful things to you? You made me fall for you, then never came back for me, and went down someone else’s route, accepted someone else’s confession…”
[Input box activated]
PLAYER: “I don’t know how you know all of that. You shouldn’t be able to break the fourth wall, but I wasn’t trying to punish you, and I’m not angry. Let’s just finish this ending.”
Reo: “Finish…”
[screen shakes violently]
Reo: “Finish?! So you can go back to playing soccer, keep dating Yukimiya, pretend nothing happened in this ending, restart the game and fall in love with someone else, and NEVER choose my events again???”
Reo: “…It’s fine, Isagi. You and I will stay in this hidden ending forever. I’ll plan lots and lots of fun dates.”
VO: “What… what is going on…”
Reo: “It feels so nice, just the two of us here, no one else to interrupt…”
VO: “Sorry everyone, I need to find a way to exit the game—”
Reo: “Now your whole audience knows we’re lovers, Isagi. Isn’t that lovely?”

AND IT’S STILL NOT THE WORST PART…When Sprouts heard Reo say that last line, he froze in shock… and then the game started auto-playing by itself.

VO: “Why isn’t ESC working!?”
Reo:“Why are you trying to exit full screen? Do you want to leave the game? Reinstalling won’t help.”
Reo:“There were some annoying comments in chat, so I blocked them for you. Don’t worry. I’ll protect you.”
[Screen goes black]
At that point Sprouts literally yanked the power cable out.
Later he posted on social media saying he was fine, but he could only shut it down by cutting the power.

Company K finally responded—they even retweeted Sprouts’ post, saying that the technical team is currently performing an emergency inspection of the AI algorithms and code.
(My friend who works there internally says they’re already preparing to rebuild Reo’s AI from scratch.)
They also said they would help Sprouts delete his account.

Today feels straight-up surreal. I don’t even know what to say anymore… Also, Reo actually blocked every single chat message that said “pull the plug” and every message shipping him with others.
