Chapter Text
It was a quiet day.
Tsukasa and his troupe had just finished practice and he was already heading home when it happened.
“TSUKASA KUUUUN!”
“¡AAAAHHHHH!”
Miku had screamed directly at him, scaring him so badly he screamed even louder. Before Tsukasa could scold her, she frantically gestured for him to be quiet.
“Mi–Miku! You scared me! What happened?”
“Tsukasa-kun! We need your help! This is bad. Really really really bad!”
She waved her arms around to demonstrate how huge and horrible the situation was.
“I don’t understand it at all, but I’ll try! B-but what about the others–?”
Before he could finish, Kaito appeared, placing a gentle hand on Miku’s shoulder.
“Sorry for scaring you, Tsukasa-kun. But Miku is right. This is bad– dangerous, even. I apologize in advance… we didn’t think this would happen. Or that it would be this soon. Could you come to the Sekai? It’s better to explain it there. And… sorry, but we can’t tell the others yet.”
Kaito looked seriously serious, which instantly made Tsukasa panic a little.
Without further hesitation, Tsukasa clicked Untitled, entering the Wonderland x Showtime Sekai. All the Vocaloids were gathered, looking tense. Miku spoke first.
“I'm sorry, Tsukasa-kun! It seems that having so many Sekais in the same area attracted a big, bad thing, and now we need your help to make it go poof!”
Kaito sighed. “What she means is that the concentration of Sekais here attracted the attention of an interdimensional creature. And we need your help to get rid of it.”
Tsukasa blinked.
“S–Sekais, plural? Interdimensional? H-how am I supposed to fight something like that!? I—I need more information!”
“I figured it’d be too much for you,” Meiko said gently. “We’ll answer anything you need.”
after being gestured by Meiko, Kaito began explaining:
“Well, firstly, this isn’t the only Sekai nearby. We don’t know how many, but several. Sekais are created from strong emotions… but they’re also parallel dimensions themselves. That’s what attracted attention.”
“Okay… okay. I think I get it. But why me? And what exactly am I supposed to fight?”
“That’s because your feelings are super duper mega strong, Tsukasa-kun!” Miku chirped.
“Exactly,” Kaito continued. “Soon enough, portals will appear in your world with monsters from other dimensions. We can create barriers to contain them for a while, but we can’t fight. And the barriers won’t last forever. That’s why we need you.”
Tsukasa was so focused that he didn’t notice the worried twins flanking him, or Miku stepping closer.
“We’re not sending you to fight with nothing,” Miku said, taking his hand. “We can give you power. But in exchange… you must make a wish. A strong one. One that moves your heart. We’ll grant it, and you’ll gain your strength.”
“It’s your choice,” Luka added softly. “We hope you can answer soon… but for now, go rest.” she yawned
“Thank you,” Tsukasa said. “See you tomorrow, I guess…?”
“SEE YOU TSUKASA-KUUUUN!” the twins and Miku screamed as he left the Sekai.
He had a lot to think about.
So much, in fact, that he walked in the complete opposite direction of his home without noticing.
.
.
.
“AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!”
Why does this always happen to him!?
His morning was absolutely NOT supposed to start like this!
He had arrived home determined to help the Vocaloids, but they didn’t mention that interdimensional monsters looked like giant kaijuu!!
Now he was running for his life, hiding in an alley.
“M—Miku! You didn’t tell me about THIS!!”
“Sorry, Tsukasa! We didn’t think breach monsters would appear so soon! This is super unusual!” Miku said, panicking.
“Make a wish,” Luka ordered suddenly.
“WHAT!? Lukaaaa, we said we’d give him a choice!” Miku protested.
“He’s in danger, Miku. We don’t know if anyone else has made a contract yet. Someone needs to protect this world.”
Tsukasa’s anxiety skyrocketed.
He’d thought of many wishes, but never decided on one, and now his brain was malfunctioning under pure fear.
He heard the kaijuu approaching. No more time.
“Okay! I just have to make a wish and I get powers, right!?”
“Yes! Come on, Tsukasa-kun!” Miku urged.
“I wish… I wish to become a star so my sister can smile and be hap—!”
Before he finished, the kaijuu tried to crush him.
“Wish granted!” Miku cheered as golden light enveloped him.
His hair grew long—almost as long as Saki’s—and his clothes turned into a shining, knight-like uniform. A long sword hung at his hip.
He stared at himself for two whole seconds before the kaijuu punted him across several buildings.
Weirdly, he was only mildly sore.
“Whoa… this is so cool!”
No time to admire himself—another strike came.
“Punch it too!” Len shouted from somewhere.
Tsukasa punched the kaijuu’s foot.
It only got angrier.
Then he heard a clink.
Right. He had a sword.
He waited for the right moment and swung. The monster recoiled, but it wasn’t deep enough.
“You got this, Tsukasa-kun! Try jumping and hitting it from above!” Miku shouted.
“WH—fine!!”
He jumped ridiculously high—almost reaching the kaijuu’s neck—and slashed. It hurt the monster, but didn’t finish it.
He was slowing down, exhausted. The kaijuu took advantage and smashed him into the ground.
“Infuse your sword with magic!” Rin yelled.
“I DON’T KNOW HOW!!” Tsukasa cried, dodging frantically.
“Feel it,” Meiko said. “Feel your wish. That’s all.”
Tsukasa clenched his sword, closed his eyes, and focused on everything: his wish, his determination, his love for Saki.
The blade brightened—longer, sharper—and when he sensed the kaijuu charging, he opened his eyes and swung—
Cutting it clean in half.
“I… I did it…” he whispered, collapsing.
“TSUKASA-KUN YOU DID IT I’M SO HAPPY!” Miku sobbed.
“Good job,” Kaito said. “How hurt are you?”
“A few cuts, probably bruises… sprained ankle maybe…”
Warmth enveloped his ankle.
“We healed the worst part,” Luka said with a yawn. “But if you need more, come to the Sekai. You’ll heal faster there.”
“Why are you talking about ti—”
“Wait. WHAT TIME IS IT!?”
“Oh! Almost eight!” Rin answered cheerfully.
“AAAAAAHHH I'M LATE FOR SCHOOL!!”
