Chapter Text
The viewscreen went dark. Kathryn backed to her chair still in shock. And still deliberately ignoring her first officer who was standing by the engineering console looking slightly sheepish. Seven seems to have noticed the tension as she is glancing between them both before she nods slightly and moves down to where Kathryn is sitting.
“Captain, I believe congratulations are in order” she says, slightly stiffly. Kathryn smiles despite her reeling emotions. “Thank you Seven. I know you consider voyager your home so I understand that this transition will be hard for you” she says. Seven nods. “While I have not previously expressed an interest in returning to earth I find the prospect… interesting and it will be an interesting social setting to investigate”
Kathryn smiles softly and Seven walks away.
