Chapter Text
In the morning, Eggman completes his personal hygiene routine before heading to the dining room for breakfast.
"Good morning, dear children!" Eggman calls out while eating.
The children continue eating their breakfast while chatting amongst themselves. Afterward, they head to the playroom in the living room.
"Oh, again…!" Eggman mutters as his cell phone rings.
Eggman dialed his cell phone and waited for the call to connect.
"Hello, Starline!" Eggman said into the phone.
"What do you need from me?" Starline asked, sitting in his chair.
"Would you like to watch my kids?" Eggman requested.
"Okay, I'm fine with watching your kids," Starline replied, rolling his eyes before hanging up his cell phone.
Starline walked down the hallway and out the exit door. Once outside, he climbed into his van, started the engine, and headed down the road towards Eggman's Mansion.
Arriving in his van, Starline stepped out and walked up the stairs until he stood in front of the door. He knocked and waited.
An Egg Pawn opened the door, its ears twitching as it gestured toward the living room. Starline headed inside.
"Hello, Eggman!" Starline waved as he approached, spotting the children gathered there.
Starline recognized Metal, Orbot, and Cubot, but he paused when he noticed an unfamiliar girl among them.
"Who is the girl?" Starline asked, pointing in her direction.
"Oh, let me introduce you—this is my daughter named Sage," Eggman said to him.
"Who is this mystery man?" Sage looked up at him.
"This is my old friend, Starline," Eggman introduced her.
Starline waved to her as he stood. Eggman checked his cellphone for the time before making sure to meet up with his friend.
Eggman, along with his friend Starline, showed him around the rooms, the alarm system, and other features.
"I know you're only familiar with my son Metal and my army of Egg Pawns," Eggman told him, "but I'm responsible for all of them."
"I need to work, but you are responsible for your siblings and helping with Starline! Behave yourself!" Eggman told his son before he rushed to leave the mansion.
Suddenly, Metal and Starline noticed the youngest ones—Orbot, Cubot, and Sage—were crying.
"Don't cry! Would you like to play with me?" Starline knelt beside Orbot, Cubot, and Sage.
Starline winked at Metal Sonic, who rolled his eyes in response. Metal sat on the couch as he watched over his siblings with Starline.
