Chapter Text
“D-do you hear that?”
Noelle’s ears were perked up, pointing slightly in the direction of one of the doors behind the couch. Susie’s eyes narrowed as she tried to listen. Faintly, she could hear…
“It’s…” Noelle whispered. Her eyes widened in disbelief. “The piano…”
“Oh, yeah,” Susie replied. “Must be Kris.”
Noelle let out a nervous laugh. “R-right! It’s just…I haven’t heard them play in a long time…”
“They’re, uh…pretty good, I guess.” Briefly, Susie thought about earlier, traipsing around town with Kris. Where the hell was this talent when they stopped by the hospital’s piano?
Noelle hummed in agreement, and for a little while, the two of them were completely silent, the only sound being the distant piano. Noelle seemed almost teary-eyed, listening, and Susie wasn’t quite sure what to do.
Eventually, the song came to an end, and Noelle snapped out of her trance. “Oh! Susie I’m so sorry the music just made me remember…well, never mind that—“
“Hey, it’s okay dude. It was…nice. You liked it a lot, huh?” Noelle’s cheeks flushed a vibrant red, and Susie grinned. “Let’s ask Kris to play again later.”
