Chapter 1: Cleaved
Summary:
Directly after their final conflict, Star Butterfly and Marco Diaz has been reunited. However, Star can’t help but remember what Glossaryck had told her in the tapestry room before they destroyed the magic.
Chapter Text
Star and Marco were just staring at each other, completely speechless about how this was even possible.
They looked around and noticed that the land now looked like a mishmash of of all of the dimensions.
Earth, Mewni, The Neverzone, all of the Dimensions were now thrown together in one, however it was only small sections of each.
“I guess you made it to the portal?” Marco asked.
“No, not quite.” Star said.
“Then how is this possible?”
“I thought you made it!” Star exclaimed.
“No, I tripped and fell off Jackie’s skateboard before I could get to it.”
An array of sirens then sounded and headed their way from Echo Creek. And from New Monsterton, Moon, River, Tom, and Ponyhead all approached Star.
“Star, Sweetie. Are you okay?” Moon asked, “We saw that blast came from the direction you ran off to and became concerned.”
“Yes mom, I’m Fine.” Moon then looked further and not only saw Marco, but Echo Creek behind him.”
“Wait, what.” she asked. “How is this possible, how is Echo Creek here?”
Marcos parents then ran out after him.
“Marco?” Rafael asked. “What happened here?”
“Okay there is a lot going on, and we don’t know much more than the rest of you!” Marco exclaimed.
“How about we all head back to our house and we figure this all out.” Angie then said.
“That sounds like a wonderful idea” River agreed.
They all then headed back to the Diaz residence, Janna having also joined them as well after being released from the custody of the doctors.
“Wait, I just , How is the presence of a portal Possible?” Moon asked, It appeared after we destroyed the magic!”
“Wait, destroyed the- How is that even possible?” Rafael asked.
“Lets not get into things we don’t understand Rafael.” Angie told him.
“I have no clue myself, to be honest.” Star said to her mother, ignoring Marcos father.
“Well, possible or not at least we are all together!” River said.
Marco however looked over at star and noticed that something about this was bothering her.
“Star, what’s on your mind?” he said.
“Its my last interaction with Glossaryck before we went to the magic dimension.” she said.
“According to what Glossaryck had said, everyone should have been placed where they were supposed to be after we destroyed the magic, yet there are now whole communities displaced from where they are supposed to be thanks to that portal.” she continued, “I mean look at echo creek, everywhere you look around the town is now a different dimension. It’s the only part of earth that’s here.”
“Well, you know Glossaryck had always loved his riddles.” Moon said.
“Except after I gave Eclipsa the throne, Glossaryck became very direct with me.” Star said.
“Well there’s nothing that can be done star, all we can do is help the residents of this new united land adjust to their new home.” Marco said.
“You’re right Marco.” she replied.
They then embraced each other in a hug.
As they embraced marks started glowing on their cheeks. The hearts star had always had becoming visible again, and crescent moons appearing on Marcos.
Their parents became confused at the sight.
“Star, Marco, your cheeks…” Moon exclaimed
The two then let each other go, the marks disappearing as quickly as they appeared. By the time they got a look at each other the marks were gone.
“Mom, what’s wrong with our cheeks?” Star said seeing nothing on Marcos cheeks except for a light blush.
“I wasn’t the only one that saw that right?” Moon asked.
“No dear, I saw it as well.” River replied.
“How could we have not Queen Moon.” Angie said.
“What are you guys talking about?” Marco asked confused.
“Don’t worry I got a picture of it.” Janna then said.
“Janna why must you be like this?” Marco asked.
“Because I’m me.” She replied, pulling up the photo.
She then showed the two the photo of their hug, except the photo looked normal.
“Janna what is this supposed to prove?” Star asked.
“What!?” Janna exclaimed.
She then looked at the photo and that it just looked like they were hugging, the marks somehow not visible in the photo.
“How is that possible?” Tom asked confused.
“You to need to hug again, clearly Janna didn’t take a good enough photo.” Ponyhead said.
“What are you talking about??” Star complained. “It was just a hug!”
“Just do it!” Ponyhead exclaimed.
Immediately Star and Marco embraced except this time, the marks did not appear.
They then just as quickly let go.
“There you happy?” Star snapped.
All of them looked at each other even more confused. How is it that one hug the marks appeared and another one nothing happened.
“Are we just going crazy?” Tom asked.
“Not possible, My mind is as sharp as an eagle!” River said, “And besides all seven of us saw it. If it was just in our head then there’s no way all seven of us would have seen the same thing.”
“Okaaay. Well me and Marco are going to go out and help the residents, all of you just come back when you’re all ready.” Star said.
Star and Marco then left, more confused than when they arrived.
Out in the town, everyone was panicked particularly the residents of Echo Creek.
While they were somewhat used to inter-dimensional creatures thanks to star arriving last year, It was never on this level. Now that the dimensions were cleaved together, this would be a daily thing.
Jackie then approached the two having seen the chaos happening.
“Hey Star, Hey Marco.” She said, “What’s going on around here? Why does everything looks so weird.”
“Long story short, we destroyed the magic and somehow parts of each dimension ended up mashed together in the aftermaths.” Marco replied.
“Okay, I get that, but how does that explain the sky?” She asked
The two then looked up and finally noticed the sky. Instead of the normal blue, there was now a mixture of colours.
“Wait, how did we not notice that?” Star asked.
The sky now had tinges of pink, purple, blue, all sorts of colours. There were also stars bright enough that they were visible in broad daylight. In fact, the longer she looked at it, the more it started to remind Star of the magic dimension.
“Marco, I just realised something.” Star said.
“Huh?” Marco replied in confusion.
“The sky, it looks almost exactly like the sky did in the magic dimension, which shouldn’t even exist anymore.”
“Perhaps just some residual magic?” Marco replied.
“Maybe.” Star said. “But its also got me thinking, If its only sections of each dimension that are here, then-”
“Then were did we end up?” Marco finished. “Huh I never thought about that fact until now. You don’t think we’re in the magic dimension right now do you?”
They were then interrupted by a loud boom breaking the silence in the sky, immediately followed by an object crashing just outside of town.
“What was that?” Marco asked.
“I’m not sure, but it looked like whatever it was crashed around the border between Echo Creek and Mewni.” Star said.
“Well, shouldn’t we go check it out?” Jackie asked.
Immediately the three ran out to the border, as they approached, they noticed a crater between the two lands.
Star and Marco looked in cautiously in case it was some sort of inter-dimensional creature, however what they found inside would shock the both of them.
“Wait, Star, is that?” Marco asked.
“It is.” Star Replied, “It’s the Wand.”
All of the evidence was beginning to be too much. Between the odd portal, their parents confusion after their hug, The sky, and now this. Star was beginning to suspect that something else was going on.
Star and Marco slid down into the crater and picked up the wand, which sill held the form it took when Marco uses it.
Together, they grabbed the wand and out of nowhere, they both slipped into a deep sleep.
Shortly after the group of Moon, River, Angie, Rafael, Janna, Tom, and Ponyhead showed up, also curious about the commotion.
“Wait, is that the wand?” Moon asked.
“Jackie, what happened here?” Rafael asked.
“Don’t ask me, all they did was touch it.” she replied.
“Okay, well, lets get them moved back to the house.” Angie said.
“Right, I’ll grab the want.” Moon replied.
Moon then picked up the wand, it doing nothing to Moon as soon as she touched it. Rafael picked up Marco, while River picked up Star.
After they secured the two, they departed back to the Diaz residence.
Star woke up only to realise she was back in the tapestry room, somehow still existing even though the magic is gone.
The room felt different though, before she could feel the history behind the broken stories of the previous queens of the age of Queens Magic, now, it just felt like an empty room that served as a reminder of how broken her family was. Normally she would have had Glossaryck to somehow guide her, this time however, she was on her own.
“Of course.” she sarcastically said, “Somehow still dealing with magical adventures even though the magic is gone.”
She then realised that Marco wasn’t with her.
“Oh great, no Marco.” she said.
She then noticed that a stone placard in the shape of half of a broken heart now sat beneath her tapestry.
As she approached it, she began reading it.
“Wait Wha-” she asked to herself.
According to the placard, her and Marco shouldn’t have been reunited. Just like how Glossaryck had mentioned to star.
Suddenly the room started rumbling, Star losing her footing as it did.
“What is happening?” Star asked confused.
On the only open wall, a door began to open up. Revealing a room with a crystal in the centre.
Star began to step through the door, unsure of how this would end.
Marco woke up in a room he did not recognise immediately he looked around for Star.
“Star?” he asked.
As soon as he realised he was alone in the room, he turned his head and noticed a lone tapestry in the room, one that had him on it holding one of his karate poses along with the wand. Star was immediately behind him on her knees her hands in some sort of blackish-green liquid. He immediately recognised it as the destroyed magic.
Below the tapestry was a stone placard that was in the shape of half of a broken heart, the broken side being on the opposite side of the one for Stars tapestry placard.
“Wait the cost to pay?” he asked to himself, looking up at the Tapestry. “Does that mean me and Star were never meant to reunite?”
Marco then looked back down at the placard to see the wand was now sitting on top of it.
“What the-” He exclaimed.
He picked up the wand which was in the form it took when he grabbed it from Moon. As soon as he did, the room started rumbling, he looked behind him to see a door opening, the room behind held a crystal in the centre.
Marco then started walking into the room.
On the other side of the crystal, he saw Star exiting a room herself, she also spotted him as well.
“Star!” Marco exclaimed.
“Marco!” She returned.
They immediately ran and embraced each other.
As they did, the wand in Marcos hand started glowing, and immediately the marks on their cheeks appeared, this time not disappearing as they let go. Eventually the wand shot up and blew up. Filling the room with a blinding white light.
Back in the living room, Moon, River, Angie, and Rafael were sitting there, Tom, Janna, and Ponyhead having left.
“What are we supposed to do? Just wait?” Rafael asked.
Suddenly their cheeks started glowing again, and the wand suddenly received power.
“Wait, how is that possible?” Moon asked, “Unless…”
Moon then looked at Star and Marco
“Are they the ones doing this?” she finished.
The wand then suddenly shot out a beam of light that was guiding them somewhere, Star and Marco waking up as it did.
“Star! Marco!” Rafael exclaimed, embracing them in a hug. “I’m so glad you both are okay!”
“What happened?” Star asked.
“Yeah, I just had this really peculiar dream.” Marco said.
They then looked up at the Wand and noticed that it was pointing them somewhere.
“Or was all that real?” Marco asked.
Chapter 2: The Remnants of Magic
Summary:
After their experience, Star and Marco investigate into the wand trying to figure out how magic is still affecting their lives, even though it all should be gone.

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
A few days had passed since their strange experience. After some time Star and Marco had followed the beam that appeared from the wand to the site where Britta’s Tacos used to sit, Mariposa was with them being his parents still had things to do even with the unusual circumstances.
“Well, looks like we’re heading down there.” Marco said
They descended down the ladder into the basement.
The beam appeared to be pointing to a random wall, they wiped at the wall and a door was revealed from behind it
“Well, this room has a bunch of secrets.” Star remarked.
They opened the door to see a room with a giant crystal in the centre, one that looked just like the one in their experience.
“Whoa, that’s kinda freaky.” Marco said.
They looked at the crystal and noticed a hole in it, one that appeared just big enough to hold the wand. The beam pointed directly into it.
“I guess we’re supposed to put it in there?” Marco asked.
“Perhaps we should wait before doing this, I mean we have no clue how this could end.” Star said.
“Yeah, and It would probably be better to do it when my sister isn’t with me anyways.”
“Lets get going.”
Before they could leave, the wand started acting up. After some time, it flew out of Marcos hands and into the crystal.
“Oh come on!” Star exclaimed, “Can’t we do anything without something happening?”
Before they knew it, the wand started disintegrating, the last reminder of the age of Queens magic getting destroyed.
After the wand disappeared a giant beam shot out of the crystal filling the room with a blinding white light.
After awhile, Star, Marco, and Mariposa opened their eyes to wake up in front of Marcos house, both of them confused about how they got there.
“Wait what?” Star asked.
“Weren’t we just in the cave that sat underneath Britta’s Tacos?” Marco then asked.
Inside their heads they heard something that sounded like whispering, almost as if something was activating inside them.
“What is that noise?”
Marcos mother and father then pulled up
“Star, Marco?” Why are you guys laying outside?” His mother asked.
“We have no clue.” Marco said, “Last thing we remember was that we were looking into what was going on with the wand.”
“And what did that turn out?” His father asked asked.
“The destruction of the wand.” Star said.
“Oh, sorry to hear that.” He replied.
“Eh, it was a useless artifact anyways.” She said.
“Well, since you both are here, how about you help us take this stuff inside.” His mother said.
Star and Marco immediately started grabbing bags from the car and took them inside.
After a few hours they were sitting inside, Star and Marco were binging the latest series of YOUTHS.
Eventually Tom showed up and interrupted the two.
“Hey, you guys want to go out and do something?” he asked.
Star wasn’t expecting the interruption and got surprised, in her surprise, she summoned a narwhal.
Star and Marco jumped up in shock.
“What.” Star gasped.
“How did you?” Marco asked.
Immediately following the two were hit with a massive headache, the whispering in their heads returning.
‘Start fhk ihq, Restore tnm rmtna, Cleave vte xmcxmy, Erase bjq pgav.’
It repeated in their heads like a broken record. The only parts they could make sense of being Start, Restore, Cleave, and Erase.
“Whoa. Star, Marco, you two okay?” Tom asked.
“IT WONT STOP!” Star yelled.
“What won’t stop?” He asked becoming confused.
Eventually the whispering quieted down, Star and Marco being able to think again.
“What just happened?” Tom asked.
“We don’t know, its been happening on and off since we looked into the wand.” Marco said, rubbing his head.
“Well whatever that was, might have something to do with this.” Tom said, holding up the narwhal.
“Hey, RUDE!” The narwhal exclaimed as he picked it up.
“It occurred directly after you shot this thing.” Tom said, ignoring the narwhals remark, “How did you even do that?”
“I have no idea.” Star said looking at the narwhal puzzled.
“Well perhaps going out to do something will help take your minds off this.” Tom said.
“Maybe” Star said, “What do you say Boo?”
“Sure beats sitting in here.” Marco said.
The three then left, eventually meeting up with Janna, Kelly, Ponyhead, StarFan13, and Jackie.
“Well, look who finally decided to come out!” Ponyhead remarked.
“Okay Ponyhead, me and Marco are already dealing with a lot, we don’t need your sassiness adding onto it.”
“Oh okay. If you want to be that way about it.” She mumbled.
“Okay Ponyhead just calm down now.” Kelly said.
“So what’s the plan?” Marco asked.
“Well we were going to go have a look at this giant crystal that appeared in the crater where the wand crashed.” Janna said
“Wait Crystal?” Star asked.
“Yeah, appeared a few hours ago, after this weird blast that came from where Britta’s Tacos used to sit.” Jackie Added.
“Oh great, just what we need, a continuation of our little adventure.” Star remarked.
“Wait you two caused that?” StarFan asked.
“Not important right now.” Marco said.
“You know what, you all can look into it.” Star said, “But I think me and Marco has had enough of this for one day.”
“Yeah, I’ve got to agree with Star on this, one crystal was the cause of our headaches, I don’t want to know what interacting with a second one will do. You guys have fun though.” Marco Said, “C’mon Boo, lets go.”
The two then walked off, their arms wrapped around each other.
“Wait, are those two?” Kelly asked.
“Awww!” StarFan cooed.
Returning to the house, Angie and Rafael had pulled out their family photo album, and were adding pictures of Mariposa into it.
They looked up to see Star and Marco walking in.
“Ah Star, Marco, You are just in time, we just finished with the family photo album!” His father said said.
“Ooh, Perhaps we could have a look through it with Star here. I don’t think we ever did that!” His mother then followed up.
"How about we not.” Marco then said
“Oh come on Marco, its not like she doesn’t already know you!” His mother said, “I mean that Scantron is proof enough that she knows you better than even we do. Which still kinda hurts to know.”
“I’m still kinda confused by the whole 26 to 35 thing.” His father said.
“Eh, its more of a multiverse thing, but as long as he’s not in the Neverzone, he’s still the same age as me.” Star added.
“Okay fine, we can look at the photos, just try not to be too embarrassing about it.” Marco relented.
They then went through the photo album, they showed Star all sorts of photos, one of the photos being a picture of Angie, Rafael, and Marco in front of a rickety old shack with the labelling Mystery Shack stretched across the top, Marco looking no older than 10 years old in the photo.
“Whoa, where is that place?” Star asked.
“Up in central Oregon somewhere, but you can’t visit it anymore unfortunately.” Marco said, “Sometime after this photo, there was an incident involving the owners great niece. The incident caused the owner to get arrested and the old shack got shut down.
“Oh, well that’s unfortunate.” Star remarked, “It would have been cool to see I think.”
The headaches started to return again. Star braced her head, while Marco started trying to brush it off.
“Oh, I wish these headaches would stop!” Star complained.
“Here how about you go lay down, it has been a long day after all.” Marco said
The whispering then continued in their heads, one additional word becoming understandable this time. ‘past.’
Marco helped Star to the room she was staying in, after Marco left, Star decided to change and try to turn in early, hoping the headaches would be gone in the morning.
Star got into bed and quickly fell asleep.
When star opened her eyes, she was not welcomed by the familiar surroundings of the Diaz’s house, instead she once again was in the room with the crystal.
“What am I doing here!?” Star exclaimed.
Immediately in front of her, she noticed that the crystal was now taking on a fountain like shape.
The whispering then continued, except in here, it sounded more like yelling
‘Start fhk ihq, Restore tnm rmtna, Cleave vte xmcxmy, Erase bjq past.’
“That’s the remnants of magic speaking out to you” a voice exclaimed.
Star turned around to see an apparition of Celena the Shy behind her.
“Great grandma Shy?” Star asked, “How are you here? I saw you vanish in the Magic Dimension.”
“If you’re wondering how this is possible, I am using a spell to communicate a message across time. I cannot actually hear you.” She said, “Great Corrector, If you are seeing this then that means you’re on the right path. I want to tell you everything, but the cosmic secrets that are involved are too important. Just know, if you keep on this path a great legacy will be born. One that overshadows the legacy of Queens magic.”
After she said that, Star then remembered what her placard said about her. ‘A trove of cosmic secrets, never to be told.’
“All I can say is focus on the phrase and learn it, and when the time comes, a new age will begin.”
After that the apparition disappeared, Star woke up shortly after breathing heavily.
Her mind was racing with dozens of thoughts, but the most prominent one was her asking, ‘Was that all a dream, or is there more going on?’
With that dream star decided to call her mom tomorrow and get her opinion on it.
Notes:
Our mysterious Magic code phrase will be revealed next chapter, but for those of you who are a bit too curious, you could learn what the jumbled words are now. Might just take some work though, hope you like ciphers! Good luck!
Chapter 3: Restore The Paths
Summary:
Star and her mother meet to discuss the latest development, hoping to get to the bottom of this unusual situation. Eventually something happens at the border between Echo Creek and Mewni.

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Star had just told her mother about everything since the day the dimensions were cleaved, including the most recent one.
“So, do you have any idea about what this all could mean mom?” Star asked.
“I don’t sweetie, I mean look around, even though a small part of the dimensions are all here, all the magic is gone.”
“But its not, both me and Marco are being affected by this.” She rebutted.
“Well perhaps that’s where you should start.” Her mother said. “All I’m saying Star, is that you need to slow down. I know you like to jump into things, but perhaps you jumping into this is blinding you in a way you don’t realise.”
“Now, like you said, its just you and Marco for one.” She continued, “Perhaps that is an important detail.”
“Yeah but important how.” Star questioned.
Moon already knew that whatever was going on, it somehow was connected to the two. Though in what way she wasn’t certain. The only reason she was doing things this way was because Star needed to learn to work through problems on her own instead of relying on her or Glossaryck, or even Marco for that matter.
Star began working her brain on the situation, eventually coming to a realisation that Moon probably wouldn’t have.
“No… Its not the reason that’s important…” Star eventually remarked.
“Wait, what do you mean its not the reason?” Her mother asked, “Magic always works a certain way for a certain reason.”
“Yes it did before at least.” she continued, “But looking at the last week, including the cleaving of the dimensions, Everything has been tied to a who.”
In her realisation she remembered one important detail that helped her click it all together. While her and Marco were both in the magic dimension, she remembered feeling a surge of magical activity after the magic had lost its power. A surge like she had never felt before, almost as if she had dipped deeper than she ever had before.
“Wait are you saying Star?”
“I think me and Marco are the source of all this.” She said, “The portal, the dreams, the headaches and whispering. It’s always been after me and Marco shared some sort of moment.”
“Wait, are you sure about this Star.” Her mother asked.
“There’s only one way to find out.” She replied.
Immediately Star called Marco and asked him to meet her at the Echo Creek-Mewni border. If she was right about this, they would be finishing this now.
Star and Marco Met up, their parents and even Eclipsa joining with them in case anything went wrong. Tom, Janna, and Ponyhead also showed.
“So what did you need to meet me for, and why here?” Marco asked
“Because I think I figured out the source of our mystery.” Star said, “It’s us.”
Marco immediately became confused.
“What, what do you mean it’s us?” He asked.
“Everything that has occurred since and after the magic was destroyed occurred directly after a moment between us.” Star continued.
“Uh, except that’s not true, remember when you guys hugged after I asked because we became confused after the glowing cheek marks.” Ponyhead remarked.
“Except that one was done with reluctance, not meaning.” Star said confidently.
“Marco, I think if we were to truly concentrate on one another, we can get to the bottom of all of this. Who knows, maybe even get everyone back to where they’re supposed to be, even if it means-”
“Even if it means we never see each other again.” Marco finished, “While I don’t like that answer Star, I do understand it. If there’s even a chance we can fix this whole mess, we have to.”
With that mutual understanding, they both took each others hands and closed their eyes focusing on each other.
Eventually after some time, they both began to feel something building up, the marks once again appearing on their cheeks. The whispering then returned, almost as if something was beckoning them to do something. It started out as complete gibberish just like the first time they heard it, but as they focused on it, the gibberish became clear words.
They both then released each other in complete shock. It had worked, Stars theory was correct, whatever was happening appeared to be connected to the two of them.
“What did you learn.” Stars mother asked.
“The rest of the phrase.” Star said, “The whispering, its constantly repeating the same four phrases. ‘Create the age, Restore the paths, Cleave the realms, Erase the past.’”
“Wait Moon, doesn’t that sound like…” Eclipsa began to ask
“It does, it sounds like a variation of the whispering spell.” Moon finished.
Immediately a part of the crystal began to crack, all of them looking over to it.
“Whoa, okay, That was freaky.” Tom said.
“Yeah, whatever that spell is you probably shouldn’t use it unless you know for a fact on what its going to do.” Janna added, “I would love to see my family outside Echo Creek again, but we need to make sure this spell won’t destroy us.
“Well, lets focus on each part one by one then, Create the age, what could that mean.” River asked.
“I don’t know, perhaps its just a reference to the beginning of something new.” Moon said, “Making it the opposite of what the Break the bond part of the original was, being it was a reference to something coming to an end.”
“Well, if its opposites then Restore the Paths would mean that the connections between dimensions would be restored.” Angie added.
“But what about Cleave the realms and Erase the past, those really don’t sound like they’re direct opposites.” Rafael said.
“They all needn’t be literal opposites.” Eclipsa said, “A lot of times, the meaning behind the words of a spell is hyperbole, the literal meaning not being connected directly to the words themselves, but the phrase as a whole.”
“Perhaps Cleave the realms is a way of trying to restore the dimensions to their proper state?” Star asked.
“That might be it, Cleaved is a funny word anyways, its meaning very vague, it can often be used to refer to something being split apart or put together.” Moon said, “Though in this case, it would probably do both at the same time.”
“Well that just leaves Erase the past then.” Ponyhead said, “That one does not sound good.”
“I don’t think it means to literally erase the past Ponyhead.” Eclipsa said. “Keep in mind that this is in the place of Stop the magic, so it is likely referring to the magic itself.”
“Wait the magic can have a past?” Ponyhead asked.
“Oh it definitely can.” Moon said, “Otherwise we wouldn’t have had to destroy magic in the first place. If magic didn’t remember, then I would have been able to revoke the Solarian warriors powers from them, no matter who they swore their loyalty too.”
“So perhaps this is a way of saying that the magic will have a fresh start.” Marco said, “A way of ensuring none of the baggage from the age of Queens magic will follow us.”
“I sure hope so, I never even though about the possibility of magic being restored with it, and the last thing we need is the Solarian warriors returning to finish us off.” Star remarked.
“Then that raises a more important question. Should we even do this?” Marco asked.
Star looked back over at the crystal, it looked identical to the one they had seen in their shared dream, and in the room they found in the cave.
“I kinda have to agree with Marco on this, If this restores the magic and there is even a chance that the Solarian warriors get their power back, the the possibility of getting everyone back to their proper dimensions is not worth it.” Janna said.
Eventually the whispering returned to the both Star and Marcos minds, a migraine joining this time.
They both braced their heads the pain unbearable.
“Star! Marco!” Moon exclaimed.
Eventually it settled back down. Star and Marco able to hear their thoughts again.
“I don’t know if we have a choice Marco. I mean, the overarching meaning of this new spell is creation and restoration.” Star remarked
“But what about Mewni, if it restores the magic and the Solarian warriors get their powers back-” Marco began, getting interrupted by Star.
“Then we’ll deal with it. Just like we always do.” Star said interrupting him.
“Okay.”
Immediately the two then took each others hands and focused on their connection and feelings for each other. The marks on their cheeks reappearing once again.
After they felt the magic start to flow, they started reciting the newly acquired spell.
“Create the age, Restore the Paths, Cleave the realms, Erase the past.” They whispered, repeating it over and over.
The crystal beside them started cracking some more, and eventually a glow started to shine from across all of the different dimensions and the borders surrounding them.
“Whoa! What’s happening?” Angie asked
Eventually pieces started breaking off from the crystal and it started to take the shape of a fountain,
“How would I know!?” Janna snapped.
A silver coloured liquid started emerging from the newly formed fountain filling the base with it.
“Uh, guys. You should have a look at this.” Tom said.
Then everything went blank.
Star woke up in her room which was attached to Monster castle unsure of what was going on. Eventually Eclipsa and Moon ran in, hoping she was there.
“Oh thank corn you’re alright.” Moon said
“Mom?” What happened?” Star asked.
“Why don’t you look outside and see.” Eclipsa said.
Star then got up and looked out the window to see only Mewni.
“Wait, does that mean?”
“Yes Star, everyone is back where they are supposed to be” Moon replied.
“What about the Solarian Warriors, the magic?” Star asked.
“Well, the hearts on your cheeks are back permanently, so its a good indication. And as for the Solarian warriors.” Moon Said.
“I had a few guards go around and check, and no one has gotten their abilities back.” Eclipsa said, “In fact, even the book of spells appears to be gone, almost as if it was erased from existence.”
“Well even if my cheek thingies are back, there’s only one way to know for sure on the magic side.” Star said, “Mega Narwhal Blast!”
Immediately a barrage of narwhals appeared, proving that magic was indeed back.
Soon, Heckapoo, Rhombulus, and Omnitraxus Prime all came rushing in, having travelled here due to the strange lack of memory they had of the past week. They immediately jumped to the conclusion that Eclipsa had done something.
“WHAT DID YOU DO ECLIPSA!?” Rhombulus screamed. Pinning Eclipsa to the wall.
“She did nothing!” Moon exclaimed, “In fact, we don’t even fall under your protection anymore!”
“Please, what are you trying to say, that you both don’t have magic anymore?” Rhombulus asked sarcastically.”
Heckapoo then got a look at their appearance and noticed that Moon and Eclipsa no longer had their iconic marks, unlike Star.
“Uh Rhombulus, I think they’re telling the truth.”
Immediately a portal opened and Marco stepped through it, his cheeks now constantly showing the crescent moons on them. He ran up to her and embraced Star in a hug.
“We did it Star!” Marco exclaimed, “And what about the Solarian warriors?”
“We don’t have to worry about them. Though I imagine we will have to deal with Mina again in the future. Even without magic, 300 years worth of memories is bound to drive anyone crazy anyways.” Star said.
“Now mom, if you don’t mind.” She continued.
“Go ahead star, with everything you’ve been through, you deserve to finally have some time to relax.” her mother said. “Just make sure to keep in contact with me.”
“I will mom. Thank you.”
With that, Star and Marco both stepped through the portal, it closing behind them.
Immediately afterwards, Ponyhead came bursting through the doors.
“Where’s B-fly at?” she asked.
“She went back to Earth, and I think it’s better if you don’t follow. It’s about time she had some time with not having to worry about magic at all.” Moon said.
