Summary
With a string of failed relationships behind her and a demanding job as Interim Unit Chief of the BAU, at Quantico, Emily Prentiss is sure she will spend the remainder of her life single. After coming back from London, she plowed herself into her work and her team, trying to keep together the tightknit group. When Reid got himself into trouble in Mexico, Emily did everything to keep him from getting convicted, including going against her oath and her values. Reid is now out of danger and the team is well cared for and prospering – yet something is always amiss. When Emily starts to reconnect with Fiona Duncan, she ponders if it may be time to settle down and make her stay in Washington DC permanent; however, her relationship with JJ is strained after some unfinished business from their pass. Plus, Emily tells herself that it is a bad idea to get romantically involved with a Criminal Defense Lawyer, since they are on opposite sides of the spectrum of the Criminal Justice System. A new case surfaces that leaves Emily and Fiona on opposing ends of the courtroom, alongside a fragile JJ as a witness to a possible new relationship for Emily.
