Summary:

Podfic by klb of It's in the Eyes by MyFairKatie.

Author's summary: Dorothy has always been good at reading facial expressions. Eyes communicate, and since her dearest friend is her dog Toto, she's learned to read them.

The scarecrow has a lot of feelings he's keeping to himself, and Dorothy can't help but be curious about what they are. He won't be revealing all his secrets tonight... but perhaps she'll get some glimpse of the untold story she knows she's missing.

Notes:

What a cool story! After my daughter got into Wicked, I read her the first 3 Wizard of Oz books aloud, so my Dorothy and Scarecrow voices here are very influenced by those readings (but also whenever Scarecrow lets himself show Dorothy a little more of who he really is, I let his voice change to become a bit more influenced by Fiyero). Also, I recorded this right after coming back home from being away for the holidays, so my cat was feeling very clingy and I let him sit on my lap for most of the performance. So if you hear a little bit of purring in the background from time to time... you're welcome!
