Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern might have done the stupidest thing any of the Justice League could have done.
They entered Gotham without Batman's permission.
They were looking for Batman of course, they needed his opinion and apparently decided to ignore Batman's response of "he's busy" because clearly without any further explanation they decided it must be a lie.
Nightwing had followed the three heroes using the shadows and his knowledge of the Gotham streets to his advantage to trail them right to the tippity top of Wayne Enterprises.
The fact he got that far is a surprise to him given Superman's powers but Nightwing didn't lament on that for long, he was trained by the Bat, and Batman doesn't speak highly of the Justice League's observational skills.
"Last I checked" Nightwing said, making himself known leaning against the wall casually like he belonged there.
You know because he does, unlike them.
Nightwing chuckled as the older heroes startled and turned to face him. "Batman doesn't like people in his city without him knowing and considering I knew nothing of you being here I'm assuming you didn't run it by him"
"And you are?" Green Lantern asked, crossing his arms over his chest looking Nightwing up and down like he's the one out of place in Gotham.
Nightwing gasped dramatically, bringing his hands to his chest feigning hurt, "And here I was under the assumption I was up for League membership" Nightwing said, grinning before straightening up, "Don't tell me, Batman lied to me" he said in an accusatory tone.
Wonder Woman stepped forward extending her hand, "Nightwing" She greeted, "Wonder Woman" he greeted in return shaking the hand she offered him plastering on his most charming smile.
"We need to speak with Batman," she said, bringing her hand back behind her back.
Nightwing couldn't help himself, he snorted, "Yeah, I figured you weren't trespassing in Gotham to meet up with the fucking Joker" He drawled looking over the edge of the building as a car horn blared down below just incase it was something other than an impatient driver.
"Can I take a message?" he offered, turning back to look at the unimpressed faces of the three Leaugers.
"It's Official League business son" Superman said, his hands folded behind his back, Nightwing rolled his eyes, yeah, he had figured that much out Superman!
"Oooh" Nightwing said, nodding "Well in that case, Call the Batcave and leave a message with Oracle, I'm sure she will get it to Batman for you" Nightwing said turning and stepping up onto the ledge.
"Where Is Spooky Anyway?" Green Lantern asked, Nightwing paused, rolled his eyes, and turned back.
He can't remember the last time he rolled his eyes this much.
"Official Bat Business" Nightwing answered, smirking internally. "Which means it's none of yours, You're trespassing in a city that's not yours so get out" Nightwing said in a not so polite tone, he's busy and this is wasting his time.
"And you're not?" Green Lantern countered incredulously.
Before Nightwing could respond to such a stupid statement, his com crackled in his ear, he held a finger up with one hand and unmuted his com with the other.
"Hey Pretty Lady" he said smiling as Oracle laughed in his ear.
"Hey The Commissioner is looking for Batman"
"He's not the only one, Tell the Commissioner that B's unavailable"
"You telling me how to do my job Bird Brain?"
Nightwings lip quirked into a smile, "I wouldn't dare tell you how to do your job Darling"
"I didn't think so"
"I value my life too much" Nightwing laughed
Oracle laughed, "Oh yeah" She drawled, "And what do you call jumping off every building you can"
"An adrenaline rush"
"You are so Stupid"
"Yeah yeah, Let Jim know I'll be with him once I'm done with the trespassers" Nightwing said.
"Tresspassers?" Oracle asked confused, "Where are you"
"Tippity top of the we building" Nightwing said, bouncing on his feet, as he heard Oracle typing, no doubt searching for the feed from the cameras they've placed up here.
"Oh Bruce is going to be pissed"
"Tell me about it" Nightwing commented, "I'm trying to get them to leave, they're so not listening to me"
"What are they doing here?"
"Oh Hi B, Didn't realise you were finished already" Nightwing said.
"Nightwing. What are they doing here?"
Nightwing sighed he could hear the annoyance in his fathers voice, he's just glad the man wasn't angry.
Yet.
"I don't know, Superman said" Nightwing said before putting on a slight mocking tone "It's official League Business" His smile widened as he heard Batman laugh on the other side of the com.
"Stay there, I'm on my way"
"Yes Sir" Nightwing said before returning his attention to the leaguers, "lucky for you B seems to be free now, unfortunately he's in a bit of a pissy mood, so thanks for that" Nightwing said, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall.

The Batwing flew through the Sky approaching them rapidly, Soon Batman was jumping from the pilot seat and landing on the roof as the Jet flew around and back tracked the way it came.
"Nightwing" Batman said, an eerie calm to his voice that sets Superman and Lantern on Edge, Wonder Woman didn't seem to have the same reaction as them.
"Yes Sir, Batman Sir" Nightwing greeted happily, laughing to himself as Batman fought with a smile. Okay clearly he's in a good mood, hopefully that stays.
"Commisoner Gordon is waiting for you at the Docks" Batman said not breaking eye contact with an uncomfortable looking Superman.
"Aww" Nightwing really drew it out before he said "I really Wanted to see you yell at them"
Batman sighed, "Nightwing" He said, in the same tone he used when calling him Richard.
Something deep in Nightwing reacted before his brain could really catch up.
"I'm Going" He said, stepping up on to the ledge, and grabbing his grappling gun, he turned and saluted the soon to be murdered Justice Leaugers.
"It was nice meeting you" he said and a showman at heart he flipped off the ledge leaving Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern to Batman's wraith.
