Sukuna couldn’t believe this. Stuck in the body of a mediocre teenager—a sorcerer in training, no less. Disgusting. Sitting on his throne, angry at the predicament he was in. He’d much rather have that Fushiguro kid as his vessel, the boy's Ten Shadows technique would have been useful. But here he was trapped in this… BRAT! He needed to get all twenty of his fingers then find you and Uraume, but mostly you. His wife. His Queen. A thousand years was far too long to be separated from one another.
“We’ll meet again,” he murmurs. “We’ll remake everything in our image, just as before.”

In the Heian era, he was an unwanted child. A pariah for everyone to throw their hatred at. Your family took him in when your mother found him in the forest alone and hungry. She understood what it meant to be considered an outsider. A foreigner brought to Japan as a prisoner of war and sent to work at a brothel. From time to time she would steal extra money and valuables from clients. She had to run away when one of the other women told the hostess of her thievery. Through her travels she met your father, a merchant. He felt pity and brought her to his home. Over time they fell in love, moved to a different region then had you.
They lived outside the village because natives were weary of your mother’s origins. Even years later, though not as bad as before, it was still a problem. People constantly calling you half breed. You tried to not let you bother you but it clearly did. Watching your smile dim a little was upsetting him.
Seeing the discrimination all of you went through is what made Sukuna find kindred spirits. He admitted to himself, it felt nice to have a home.
Things were well until the townsfolk attacked your home because they found out the "cursed child" lived there. You were with Sukuna in the woods to watch him train. The two of you arrived for dinner to find the place ransacked and your parents' corpses were mutilated. Sukuna wanted to burn everyone to ashes but you had stopped him, scared to lose anyone else. It was that moment he knew you had to make you strong. The crying didn’t even both him, it was the broken expression on your face that made him sick. He never wanted to see you look that way ever again. You both grew more powerful through the years as Sukuna trained you himself. In time, people no longer looked down on you, they feared and respected the King and Queen of Curses.
During their reign, they met Kenjaku. He helped both of them live on after death by splitting their souls: Sukuna into his twenty fingers and you used your mother’s necklace.
You died before Sukuna did, dying in a fierce battle against many sorcerers. In the chaos, you had been split up from Sukuna and Uraume. By the time they found you, it was too late. You had taken out so many of them, he was proud of that fact. Sukuna had considered burying you next to your parents, but it bothered him to know your body would rot away, eaten by lowly maggots. He decided to eat you instead, to keep his beloved with him
The necklace was put in a location that only he and Uraume knew. When the time was right, whichever one of you could get to it first, then his darling wife would be restored again.
But for now… he had to listen to the teenage ramblings of wanna be sorcerers.

The trio were walking through the park to the cafe Nobara wanted to go to, when Yuji suddenly stopped. His phone was vibrating, a wide smile spreading across his face at the text on the screen
“What are you grinning for,” Nobara tries to snatch the phone away, but Yuji swiftly evades her grabby hands.
“Will you relax?” Yuji laughs, “My girlfriend just texted me. She said she’ll meet us here in the park instead.”
Megumi’s eyes widen in surprise, while Nobara grabs the front of Yuji’s hoodie yelling, “WHEN DO YOU GET A GIRLFRIEND?!”
People began to stare at the commotion as Nobara proceeded to shake the living daylights out of Yuji. Megumi’s patience was wearing thin with the disturbance his friends were causing. I should just leave them here. He sees a neaby bench and sits hoping the chaos would die down soon.
Yuji finally manages to free himself from Nobara’s grasp, “I just never had the right time to bring it up, okay? With everything that’s been going on... it slipped my mind.”
“Did you tell her about anything?” Megumi asks, his tone cautious.
Yuji shakes his head, “No. She was visiting family out of the country. I figured it would be better to tell her in person than over the phone.”
“Either way, I want to meet her! We can exchange fashion tips!”
“Hopefully she’s not as loud as you two.”
Nobara eyes roll and Yuji chuckles at Megumi’s statement.
“How well do you think she’ll take the news?” she asks.
“Probably freak out for sure, but she’ll calm down… eventually.”
Megumi says, “She’ll kind of have to. Sukuna isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.”
“Yeah, yeah. I’ve gotta talk to him about this.” Yuji takes a deep breath.
Hey, Sukuna. I'm sure you heard what we said. So please, please don’t scare or kill my girlfriend.
Fine, brat. I’d rather you talk to her than annoy me.
Yuji rolls his eyes. Thanks.
He looks at his friends, “He said he’ll be cool.”
Nobara and Megumi eye Yuji warily then shrug. There wasn’t much they could do about it now.

The group waited fifteen minutes before they hear someone yell, “YUJI!”
All of them turn to see you in a nice sundress running in their direction with a huge smile. Yuji spread his arms out wide, practically bouncing on his feet. You jump into his arms while he spins you around.
“I missed you so much!” You pull his face to meet your lips. Lost in your own world until an exaggerated cough interrupts your reunion. You turn to see a a girl waving and a boy blushing looking away. Yuji rubs the back of his neck. “Sorry, guys! Babe, these are my friends: Nobara and Megumi.”
You let go of Yuji to introduce yourself. Nobara immediately asks, “Are you really dating? You’re way too cute for him.”
“What the hell!?"
Nobara and Yuji get into a shouting match until Megumi interrupts, “Enough! Can we just go to the cafe already?!”
Nobara straightens her hair and outfit. “Alright, Alright. Let’s go!” She wraps her arm around your other arm not taken by Yuji. “So tell us about your vacation? Where did you go? What did you do? What things did you buy? Tell me about the people.” You laugh and try to answer the many questions Nobara throws at you while Yuji tells her to chill out as they continue on to have lunch.

After Yuji’s little warning, Sukuna decided to meditate, trying his best to ignore the useless chatter. It was difficult with the brats were so incredibly loud. With nothing else to occupy his mind, he found himself listening to their conversation. Part of him was curious about the girl Yuji had mentioned earlier.
"She is likely as boring as she is hideous," he hums to himself, a dark chuckle echoing through his domain. "Most humans are."
Then, a voice cut through the air, shouting Yuji’s name. Sukuna peers through the boy's eyes, his breath hitches when he sees your face.
His fists start to shake.
His heart rapidly beats against his ribs.
It was you. It was really you.
He couldn’t believe it. You had the exact same face as when you were younger. Only your hair and eye color were different. He watches you run into Yuji’s arms, smiling and kissing him. If he could vomit right now, he definitely would.
She should be kissing me, not this oaf, he snarls. Fortunately, Yuji was too caught in your presence to notice the sudden spike of murderous irritation radiating right now. At least he has good taste in women.
It became clear that you had been reincarnated. While it infuriates him to see you in a relationship with…this moron, he realizes the convenience of the situation. You are here, there is no need to search for you. He needed a vessel to bring his Queen back, and who could be more perfect than your own reincarnation? It was as if the fates were bowing to his will.
A smirk spreads across his face as he remembers Yuji had to let you meet him. Sukuna feels some cursed energy running through you, it was faint but it's there. All that mattered was keeping you safe and within his reach.
