The sunset bathed the sky in a deep orange as Meggy, Axol and Mario sat and just relaxed.
That Splatfest was intensive and it was the first one Axol participated in.
Meggy asked "Do either of your remember how we first met?"
Axol replied "Of course. We met when I helped you guys unban Anime from The Mushroom Kingdom. You provided the ink that helped us convince Peach to unban Anime."
Mario added "I remember freeing you from that paint can you were trapped in."
Axol said "Okay, Mario, that's a lie and you know it."
Meggy blushed in embarrassment before saying "Mario is speaking the truth."
Axol looked at Meggy like she had suddenly turned into a Hydra. He said "Part of me wants to know how you got trapped in that paint can but part of me is scared to know the answer."
Mario and Meggy laughed.
Axol softly chuckled as he said "Sorry about assuming you were lying, Mario."
Mario said "I accept the apology, Axol."
Meggy said "You know, being an only child, I always wondered what having siblings would be like. Who knew the universe would bring me two friends who I would grow to see as brothers?"
Axol said "I never had siblings, as far I know being raised in a orphanage, so I am glad I got a sister and brother in the form of you and Mario."
Mario said "I had a twin brother but I am glad my family grew and I have more siblings."
Meggy turned to Axol and asked "Speaking of families growing, how did your proposal to Melony go?"
Axol began to blush as he asked "You saw the ring box in my pocket during the book signing, didn't you?"
Meggy nodded as Mario asked "Wait, you bought a ring to propose to Melony?"
Axol said "Yes."
Meggy asked "So, how did the proposal go?"
Axol replied by saying "She said yes." and revealed that he was wearing an engagement ring on his right hand.
Meggy hugged Axol and said "Congrats."
Mario said "I am so happy for you right now."
Axol said "Thanks, you two."
Mario asked "Does that mean we get to have a wedding on the Showgrounds? Or maybe in Peach's castle?"
Axol replied "I'll have to ask SMG4 and Peach about that."
Meggy chuckled. Even if the SMG4 series was ending soon, she was content with her brothers by her side.
Though she'd never forgive SMG4 if he ended the series before Axol and Melony got married.
