Some where in Muskoka Ontario
An 40 something old man appears before the camera, 'Yo we are live from beautiful Muskoka Ontario and welcome to the hottest reality tv show' says the man with a megawatt smile on his face. 'I'm Chris Mclean and welcome to Total Drama Island' says Chris cheerfully.
'Here the deal. 24 campers have signed up for 8 weeks here at this summer camp. Although we did stretch the truth about their accommodations just a little' says Chris. As Chris brings the camera around the island, 'They will be competing in challenges and every 3 days some one will be eliminated after facing the judgement of their peers' says Chris.
'The losing camper will be sent away on the Boat of Losers never allowed to return' says Chris. 'The camper who manages to survive the longest will win one million dollars. Let's face it, they are going to blow it in a week' says Chris.
'These kids will have to face black flies, wild animals, disgusting camp food and of course each other. Every moment is going to be recorded by the numerous cameras that we have all over the island. With out further ado welcome to Total Drama Island' says Chris with a bright smile.
'Welcome back to Total Drama Island, now let's welcome our first 12 campers' says Chris as a girl with a side ponytail and braces steps off the boat. 'Welcome Beth' says Chris with a bright smile. 'It's so great to finally meet you' says Beth as she ambushes Chris with a hug.
She moves off to the side as the next camper arrives, a boy of clear Jamaican and Canadian descent. He looks around the island with clear confusion, 'Yo Chris' calls DJ brightly. 'Welcome DJ' says Chris as DJ looks even more confused.
Since the camp before him didn't look anything like the brochure. He made his way over to Beth as the 3rd camper arrived, 'Gwen welcome' says Chris as the goth girl got off the boat and she was clearly pissed off.
'You mean were staying here' says Gwen incredulously as she looks around in shock. 'No you guys are staying. My place is that away with AC' says Chris with a smirk and he was well aware of the annoyance that he was causing the girl.
The 4th boat arrived with loud party music blasting from the sound system as a boy with straw coloured hair and a hat jumped off the boast with a bright smile. 'Geoff dude welcome' says Chris. As Geoff jumps off the boat, 'Dude I'm so psyched to be here' says Geoff.
The 5th boat arrives a blonde girl with a good height steps off of the boat, 'Welcome Lindsay. Not to shabby' says Chris as he mutters the last part to himself. 'Hi everyone' says Lindsay in a slightly ditzy tone.
The 6th boat arrives as a girl with coal black hair and eyes steps off and she glares at everyone in front of her. She was clearly used to getting everything that she wanted, she also seemed like the type of girl who will do anything to win.
'Heather' says Chris as she steps on his foot hard. 'Welcome we're going to be your friends for the next 8 weeks' says Beth and she doesn't even notice the way that Heather recoiled at the flying saliva.
Before Heather could say anything, heavy metal music could be heard. The 7th boat arrived as a boy with a neon green mohawk and a black and white skull t-shirt arrived on the dock, 'Duncan dude' says Chris as Duncan glared at him hard.
'I don't like surprises' hisses Duncan coldly. 'Yeah your parol officer warned me about that. Any trouble and I can give him a call to bring you back to Juvie' says Chris with a hint of a warning tone.
'Drop dead freak' says Heather as Duncan tries to flirt with her. Boat 8 arrived with the participant flying into the pile of luggage, 'Tyler everybody. Nice wipe out dude' calls Chris as Tyler gives him a thumbs up.
Chris turns around and he very nearly jumps back in shock as the 9th camper is standing rather close to him. 'Welcome to camp, Harold' says Chris with a somewhat strained smile on his face. Harold just stood there breathing.
'So is this the camp or is it some big stage' asks Harold. 'This is it dude' says Chris calmly as the 10th camper arrives. The young man has a guitar strapped to his back, 'Trent welcome dude' says Chris.
'Thanks man' says Trent with a smile as he makes his way to his fellow contestants. The 11th campers arrived and she was carrying a surfboard, 'Hey what's up' says the girl with a bright smile, 'Please meet our surfer chick Bridgette' says Chris as he ducks under her surfboard.
The 12th camper though was a vast difference from the one before him. The boy was short and his entire demeanour just screamed "Nerd" with a capital "N", 'Noah welcome dude' says Chris as he recovers getting hit in the head.
'Did you get my list of life threatening allergies' asks Noah point blank. 'I'm sure someone did' says Chris without a no care attitude, Duncan tried to intimidate Noah but Noah wasn't phased by his behaviour.
The 13th campers arrived on the dock and she had a girl boss attitude as well as demeanour that screamed "Don't even think about messing with me". 'Leshawna welcome' says Chris, 'Wass'up y'all' says Leshawna happily.
She tries to go and beat the stuffing out of Harold when he makes a rude comment about her body. Campers 14 and 15 arrive on the same boat, they are dressed identically down to the pigtails in their hair.
'Welcome Katie and Sadie' says Chris as the girls start finishing one another's sentences. 'Man I thought I got away from the creepy twin talk' mutters Noah in annoyance, everyone looked slightly disturbed at the pair.
Camper 16 arrived with a swagger in his step and a bright smile, 'Cody! The Coaster, the Code miester' says Chris enthusiastically as he tries to hype the campers up. Which was a fail, 'I see the ladies have already arrived' says Cody with a smirk.
Camper 17 arrived with a thud on Chris's foot, 'Ow welcome Eva' says Chris as he deals with his sore foot. 'What are those dumb-bells' asks Cody somewhat scared, 'Yes' says Eva. 'She's all yours man' says Duncan to DJ who gulped.
Camper 18 was a boy who clearly enjoyed eating, 'WOO HOO' shouts the boy happily. 'Welcome Owen' says Chris as Owen hugs him happily. Owen radiated happiness, 'It's great to be here' says Owen with a smile.
Then comes camper 19, 'Welcome Ezekiel' says Chris as a boy who clearly never meet other people before arrived. 'Okay. Look, dude, I know you don’t get out much, been homeschooled your whole life, raised by freaky prairie people. Just don’t say much and try not to get kicked off too early, okay?' warns Chris as Ezekiel nodded earnestly.
Camper 20 arrived and she just radiated confident and perfection, 'Welcome Courtney' says Chris as he helps Courtney off of the boat like a gentleman. 'Pleasure to be here' says Courtney as Owen happily shakes her hand.
Camper 21 was a boy that had ALL the girls swooning at how handsome he was. 'Meet Justin' says Chris as love music played in the background, 'Wow' says the girls since they had never seen such a handsome boy before.
The 22nd camper arrived and she hit her head against the dock, 'Izzy everybody' says Chris as Courtney rushes to help Izzy. 'Woah what a head rush' says Izzy in a slightly dazed voice, 'Ok everyone. As you all know our show takes place here in Canada where you are all from' says Chris as everyone nods their heads.
'The producers wanted to throw in 2 wild cards. They allowed teens from other countries to audition, but they had to be best friends or dating one another' says Chris as the campers share confused looks with one another.
'Are childhood neighbours or something' asks Owen curiously. Chris shook his head, 'From Royal Woods Michigan and Great Lakes City Michigan. Please welcome Linka Loud and Ronnie Dan Santiago' says Chris.
The last boat arrived and 2 teens stepped off of the boat. The girl of the pair was wearing a knee length orange dress with tights underneath, she had white hair braided tightly down to her waist. She was pulling 2 wheeled suitcases behind her.
While her companion wore a sleeve-less purple shirt with black shorts underneath. He was also pulling a wheeled suitcase that had a skateboard attached to it while carrying a duffle-bag under one of his arms.
'Linka and Ronnie Dan welcome to Canada' says Chris with a welcoming smile. 'Huh well the nick name was misleading' says Ronnie Dan, the other campers covered up their laughter some what.
They all knew about the nick name. How Canada was the "Great White North" luckily though it didn't snow all year round in Canada.
'I told you the camp was going to be this bad' says Linka to Ronnie Dan as he pulled out his wallet and handed her $50. 'I never should have made that bet with you Linka' mutters Ronnie Dan, 'Nice hair grandma' says Duncan as he laughs.
Suddenly his laughter is cut off by a hand around his throat, 'Dude chill he was just teasing' says Geoff as he and DJ get Ronnie Dan's hands off of Duncan's neck. Linka just had her head down sadly, 'Sorry' apologizes Ronnie Dan.
'No problem. I am not going to do that again' says Duncan. The girls approached Linka, 'Oh I love the orange on you' says Leshawna as Linka gives a little twirl. 'Thanks. It's been my favourite colour since I was a baby' says Linka.
'Everyone gather around for the promo picture' calls Chris as he jumps onto the boat with a camera in his hands. Everyone gathers on the dock with Ronnie Dan and Linka doing bunny ears to one another.
Chris manages to get a picture just before the dock breaks, everyone's luggage is luckily still dry. 'Ok everyone dry off and meet me at the campfire pit in 10' says Chris as he leaps onto dry land.
After everyone managed to dry off and grab their luggage, with the taller boys grabbing the pieces that were just out of reach from their owners. Ronnie Dan was standing some what protectively next to Linka as she sat on one of the stumps.
Chris stood before everyone with a big smile on his face, 'Welcome to Camp Wawanakwa. Your home for the next 8 weeks. The campers sitting around you may become your friends or your competition' says Chris as Heather huffs moodily.
'The camp who manages to stay on the island the longest wins $1 million big ones' says Chris. 'Excuse me what will the sleeping arrangements be like. Cause I would like to request a bunk under her' says Duncan with a sly grin on his face.
'They are no co-ed are they' asks Heather as she gets her Duncan's rather perverted comment.
Chris had a smirk on his face before he answered the question, 'No, girls get one side of each cabin and boys get the other' says Chris. 'Excuse me Kyle can I have a cabin with a lake view since I'm the prettiest' says Lindsay.
'Ok you are but that's not how it works here and it's Chris' says Chris. 'I have to live with Sadie or I'll die' says Katie sounding almost desperate, 'And I'll break out in hives' adds Sadie sounding just as desperate.
'This cannot be happening' mutters Gwen in obvious annoyance over the whole situation and how turned into a one way runaway train to crazy town. 'Hey at least you won't have to bunk with him' says Tyler as he looks over at Duncan who is bothering a poor little deer.
'Ow ow ow ow. Not the nose ring' whines Duncan as Linka pulls him away from the poor deer. 'Just for everyone. I want to tell you all that you shouldn't mess with her' warns Ronnie Dan as Linka gives Duncan a glare that could freeze the Great Lakes.
'If I call your name then go and stand over there. Gwen, Cody, Trent, Owen, Ronnie Dan, Heather, Lindsay, Beth, Katie, Leshawna, Justin and Noah. From this moment on, you are the Screaming Gopher's ' says Chris as he tosses Owen a banner.
'I'm a Gopher' says Owen happily. 'Wait what about Sadie' says Katie obviously upset as Ronnie Dan looks at Linka with a worried look in his eyes. Linka smiled at him as a way to reassure her long time friend.
'The rest of you over here: Geoff, Bridgette, Tyler, Eva, Courtney, DJ, Sadie, Izzy, Linka, Ezekiel, Duncan and Harold. Move move move' says Chris As the 24 teens are divided into 2 teams of 12, 'But Katie's a Gopher. I have to be a Gopher' pleads Sadie desperately.
'Sadie was it. Come on it'll be ok' reassures Courtney. 'You guys will be known as the Killer Bass' says Chris as he tosses them another banner, 'All right campers. You and your team will be on camera in all public areas of this competition' says Chris
As the camera cuts to the Outhouse confessional.
Chris demonstrates how to use the confessional as Gwen, Lindsay and Owen also give it a try. With different results, Gwen got it right while Lindsay showed her butt and Owen farted.
'This is going to be a lot of fun. Brothers if your watching this. I can handle my self and I won't let anything happen to me again' says Linka calmly as Ronnie Dan enters after her. 'Linka has already proven that she can deal with the bullies here' says Ronnie Dan with a small smile.
'Gopher's are in the east cabins and Bass are in the west' says Chris as he brings the 24 teens to the cabin area. As everyone separates between the 2 cabins, it becomes very clear that Heather has a my way or the highway attitude towards everything.
Cody tries to flirt with the girls on his team but he is unsuccessful, 'Dude knock it off. I've met guys who think that every girl will love him but they just crash and burn. Look at Justin, his looks are going to eventually fade and that's the only thing that he has going for him' says Ronnie Dan.
'Cool thanks for the advice' says Cody sounding genuinely happy. Lindsay was upset about everyone having to share the bathrooms, Ronnie Dan wanted to make a comment but he kept his mouth shut about that little detail.
'Yo Chris is there any chaperone at this place' asks Geoff. Chris shook his head nod, 'Your all sixteen year old. As old as any counsellor in training. You get half an hour to un pack then head over to the dining hall' says Chris as he starts a timer.
'Here Linka do you wanna share a bunk' asks Bridgette to Linka. 'Sure I don't mind' says Linka as she un-packs her clothes and makes her bed. 'Wow your fast' says Eva in surprise, 'Thanks lets just say I have a busy home life' says Linka.
'How busy' asks Sadie curiously, '10 brothers and no sisters' says Linka as she pulls out a small album from her bag that had Linka with various boys. 'Woah that is a busy household' says Courtney as she notices a wedding picture at the back of the album.
'That's Roberta and my brother Loki's wedding last year. I was the maid of honor while Ronnie Dan was the best man, they wanted both of us in the wedding' says Linka as Courtney hands her back the album.
Linka tucked it safely into her bag once more. After a scream erupted from the Gopher Cabin over a Cockroach, all the campers made their way over to the dining area for some lunch. Ronnie Dan and Linka were especially hungry since they didn't eat since they had left the day before.
The cook was a large intimidating looking black man, 'I serve it three times a day. You will eat it three times a day, grab your trays get your food and sit your butts down' yells Chef. Linka and Ronnie Dan looked at one another uneasily.
The food actually moved the plates which is what disturbed them even more but everyone ate up especially after Geoff asked for pizza which caused a butcher knife to be thrown near his head. Which made it clear to everyone that they should never make those comments again.
'Your first challenge begins in one hour. So get your swimsuits on cause your gonna need em' says Chris with a slight chuckle. 'It's our first challenge how hard can it be' comments DJ.
Unfortunately for DJ he was very wrong, as their first challenge consisted of them jumping off of a 1000 ft cliff in the water below.
