Hello! Leaf here! I am just here to give a brief introduction of this fanfic. By that, I mean that I am basically going to tell you what this fic is about, the characters, the ships, the au's (aka og universe or modern au) etc. I will also be telling which chapter will have which fic, because each chapter in this fic belongs to a oneshot of a ship that I ship. Let's being then, shall we? (You don't exactly have a choice)

The basic format that we will be following for this is:

(Xiaolumi and Xiaother chapters [aka chapter 5 and 6] will be released on the same day. The only difference is, well, the traveller Xiao is being shipped with. Both the chapters are same, and the only difference is, again, the traveller Xiao is being shipped with. The reason I'm doing both ships is because I am the author and you can't stop me.)

(P.S - By 'Modern Teyvat AU' i mean that the story takes place in Teyvat but they have modern things like we do [like phones] I hope my point is being conveyed properly)

Do note that some chapters will have an author's note of sorts in them that provides a bit of context/headcanon for the current chapter (That is the best way I can describe this. You'll probably understand this better when it is used in a chapter). And the characters are probably ooc considering the fact that these characters have been written the way I see and understand them. Will every person reading this fic see the character the way I see them? Maybe, maybe not. I can't say.

Another note I would like for you to know is that DO NOT TRUST THE SCHEDULE I have given. I am a student who has exams right around the corner (that is 17 February). So, there is a chance that some chapters won't release on the dates they were supposed to (plus I procrastinate a lot...). I will try my best to follow the schedule I have provided to you all, but I won't exactly keep any promises.

Regardless, I hope you enjoy this fic and have a fun time. I am also going to end this fic by telling you to do at least one of the following (you pick what you want to do):

Hu Tao and Yanfei are dating ♪(´▽｀)

That's it. That's all the context you require (well you should also know that Yanfei ends up being very tired after some cases. Happy that her client won because of her, but still tired.)

Let the fic being!

Hu Tao was currently in Emerald Peak, a realm from the Travelers teapot. The main reason as to why Hu Tao was there was because she had nothing to do. The flow of customers was less, but that was expected considering that her business was, in short burying the dead of Liyue or hosting rituals for the adepti. She also had no one to hang out with. The Traveler and Paimon were out exploring Nod-Krai, Yun Jin had an upcoming performance and was practicing for it, Xiangling was cooking up something with mist flower corollas, and she didn't want to become a taster for that, and she didn't want to third wheel Chongyun and Xingqiu. The only option that was left was roaming in the Travelers teapot.

That's when Hu Tao saw a tuft of rose hair in a nearby gazebo 'Heh~ Seems I found Miss lawyer' Hu Tao thought. This particular gazebo had soft seating arrangements in the center and two entrances, one behind the seating arrangement and one in front. Hu Tao quietly managed to sneak up behind Yanfei, using the entrance behind the seats, and covered Yanfei's eyes with her hands.

Yanfei giggled "Is this really your idea of a prank Taotao? I honestly expected better."

Hu Tao sighed and sat beside Yanfei, "How did you guess it was me?"

"You and Chongyun are the only ones who I know that have cold hands, and you are the only one who would make someone play the guessing game." Saying that Yanfei removed her shoes and pulled her legs up, putting her head on Hu Tao's lap and legs on the sofa "You also always have the fragrance of silk flowers on you."

Hu Tao's hands had instinctively wrapped around Yanfei "Well, I need silk flowers to ascend, so of course I smell of them."

Yanfei just hummed for a response and closed her eyes.

Hu Tao was mindlessly combing through Yanfei's hair, who she thought had ended up falling asleep "Oh Feifei, my dear Feifei, how much I love you..."

Yanfei put a soft smile on her face and kissed Hu Tao's palm, which was around her, "I love you deeply as well Taotao, my dear Taotao..."

Context:

Kazuha and Chiori are collage students (Kazuha is an English major and Chiori studies fashion design). They both have had a crush on each other (because of course they do [it makes the story flow better, forgive my sin of following obvious, but boring, paths]) and Kazuha finally found the courage of asking Chiori out for a date.

Kazuha is your classic cute but hot guy that almost every straight/bi girl and gay/bi guy has a crush on. But, he has never been in a relationship.

Chiori, on the other hand, has had a few partners in the past (like 3-4) but her relationships always failed because she never understood/knew how to express the love she felt for her partner. Her partner ended up thinking that Chiori never liked them but didn't reject them because she didn't want to break their heart, so they always broke up with her.

I think that's all you have to know/I have to tell. Hopefully you understand what I am trying to convey... Let the fic begin!

Kazuha had finally finished everything. He would go buy a bouquet of Dendrobium for Chiori before their first date and then the two of them would go out for a walk to the park. They would then enjoy a peaceful picnic together.

'What type of an idiot am I? A date to a park? A picnic? That seems so out of league for someone like Chiori,' Kazuha thought 'but if she doesn't like it, at least I'll know that we aren't meant to be...'

Kazuha shook away the negative thoughts and took out his phone and messaged Chiori

Kazuha

Hey!

I'll pick you up at 11 tomorrow morning

It's okay with you right?

Chiori

Sure

*Time skip to the next day*

Kazuha had woken up nice and early, he got ready and bought a bouquet of Dendrobium. He then took the picnic basket, still doubting himself and went to pick up Chiori.

He took a deep breath and knocked on the door, before the door opened, Kazuha took the bouquet he had brought and offered it up front.

"The red of these flowers remind me of the red in your eyes when the light hits them." Kazuha said as Chiori opened the door

She took the flowers "You shouldn't have... Come inside, I still need to put on some makeup."

Kazuha nodded and did as she asked. Chiori had put the flowers on the table. He took in how her place looked. It was classy and it seemed as if the house and chiori had the same color pallet: gold and black with hints of red and orange.

He saw Chiori come out of her room, she was wearing a black pleat skirt with black leggings and gold-yellow leg warmers. She was wearing a knitted sweater that matched the leg warmers. She had worn lipstick and eyeliner. She looked beautiful 'No, she always looked beautiful' Kazuha corrected himself

"You're staring." She spoke

"With beauty such as yours, I find it hard not to." Kazuha replied, "The cloths you're wearing right now remind me of the golden birch trees that one can find in Mondstadt." (For those who are confused, Kazu is basically talking abt the birch trees in mondstadt that have yellow/gold leaves)

Chiori looked at Kazuha, her eyes had softened, "You are being too kind, but regardless, shall we get going?"

Kazuha gave he a smile, nodded and held her hand "Of course! I hope what I planned is good enough to meet your standards."

Chiori hummed as a response and locked the door behind her. From what all she could tell, this was going to be a picnic date, and she was right.

The date started off with a walk to the park, she let Kazuha do most of the talking, she preferred looking at the way his crimson eyes shone when he talked about the things he liked, she did make sure to ask him genuine questions.

After the walk, came a picnic. Chiori had went on dates before, but none of them were picnics. The previous dates were mostly fancy night outs or movie trips. A picnic was a nice change of pace and she enjoyed it.

Kazuha had bought with him, in the picnic basket, some mini asha pockets and candy shells. Chiori wasn't a fan of sweets but didn't mind the ones Kazuha had brought, after all, he was the one who made it.

The two of them talked for quite a long while. The conversations flowed like water in a river. Chiori was always more of a listener than a talker, that's why she had let him do the talking during the walk, but now that they had taken a seat, she felt like giving up her secrets. She ranted about her latest designs and works she was working on, and Kazuha listened. Not in an obligated way, but in a curious and interested way. Maybe that's why Chiori liked him, even if she didn't know how to properly show it.

Around the two o'clock mark, Kazuha dropped Chiori off at her house. He was going to leave but Chiori tugged at his sleeve. He turned around and tilted his head.

Chiori could feel her face flush a little, she looked down, not leaving Kazuha's hand "I enjoyed a lot today. Could we, maybe, do something like this again? A date, I mean..."

She could feel Kazuha's gaze on her. He had taken a step closer to her.

"I understand if you don't wish to." Chiori said looking back at Kazuha, who was now a step away.

Kazuha gave her a smile, "I would love to, how about the cafe downtown tomorrow?"

"Sounds perfect to me." Chiori let go of Kazuha's hand "I'll let you go back now. Goodbye."

Kazuha gave Chiori a grin and lifted up Chiori's bangs, placing a kiss on her forehead, "Goodbye to you as well Chiori." Kazuha gave Chiori another smiles and took his leave, leaving behind a rarely found flustered Chiori.

Context:

You know how we receive mail on every character's birthday and how genshin releases an official artwork of them? I imagine that the character writes you a letter, gives you their specialty dish and a photo of them (aka the official art [not the chibi one btw]). Who takes this photo you ask? Anyone the character asked. Hopefully I explained that well.

"Hmm... This one doesn't seem that bad. But... Lean against the railing for me." Shinobu said, breaking a small cherry blossom branch from the nearby tree and giving it to Heizou. "And hold this."

Heizou obliged and winked.

*click*

Shinobu took the photo. Heizou hummed as she showed him the picture.

The long story short was that Heizou's birthday was coming up. Usually, he asked Kazuha or Sara to take a picture of him to send to the traveller, but both of them were busy so Kuki Shinobu was the one Heizou came to. Shinobu had nothing else to do, so she didn't mind lending a helping hand.

"I won't lie Shinobu, I didn't think you were that good of a photographer." Heizou said as he leaned in "But, I'm not a big fan of this pose, any other ideas you might have?"

Shinobu sighed "Well, I am out of ideas. You'll probably have to come up with a pose on your own, unless you decide to pick one of the previous ones we took."

Heizou gave Shinobu back the kamera. He was now leaning against the cheery blossom tree with his eyes closed, thinking. That's when an idea popped into Shinobu's head

"I think I have idea..." Shinobu said

"You do?" Heizou asked, curious to know what Kuki's mind was cooking up

"This might sound like a weird one, but I think you can pull it off."

"I'm listening."

Kuki handed him a book "I want you to sit on the ground. I want one hand behind you head and the other holding the book."

"Where did you get this book from?"

"It's a mystery novel Furina wanted me to try, I had kept it in my bag so that I could return it to her in the teapot."

Heizou hummed and did as she asked, "And what do you think should be the expression?"

Kuki hummed "I'm not sure..."

"Hm.." Heizou gave Shinobu a grin "I think I know what to do..."

"And what exactly will you be doing?"

"I'll pretend I just woke up from a nap."

"That- sounds weird... But, then again, this is a photo for your birthday so let's go with it I suppose."

Heizou closed his eyes and slightly opened one while giving a yawn.

*click*

Shinobu sat next to Heizou and showed it to him, not making eye contact.

"Now this," Heizou said as he took the kamera from Shinobu "is what I call a masterpiece! Thanks for the help Shinobu!"

"Don't mention it..." Shinobu responded

Heizou tilted his head and leaned towards Kuki "You okay? You seemed fine a few moments ago, is something wrong?"

Shinobu pushed away Heizou's face with her hand "Nothing's wrong, don't worry."

Heizou took Kuki's hand that was shoving him away, "If you say so... But, hey, your birthday is also coming up right? So how about I take a picture of you as well?"

Shinobu sighed as she pulled her hand free from Heizou's grasp, she knew she was blushing. That face Heizou did had made her feel butterflies, her heart also seemed to be beating faster. "I suppose I don't mind." Heizou's eyes lit up "Considering the fact that you are the one taking the picture, what pose do you reckon I do?"

"I know exactly what." He said as he stood up, and gave Shinobu a hand as he pulled her up as well, "Take of your mask and-"

Shinobu narrowed her eyes "No."

"Oh come on! Just hear me out first! Please?"

Kuki sighed "Fine, I'll go ahead and listen to your 'idea' but I doubt I'll agree."

"We'll see." Heizou smirked "I want you to remove your mask, take it in one hand and do a stretch."

Kuki put palm on her forehead "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I suppose giving it a try isn't going to hurt."

Heizou's eyes shone.

Kuki removed her mask and stretched the same way Heizou told her to. She couldn't help but frow her brows and frown.

*click*

Heizou clicked the photo. Shinobu put her mask back on as Heizou showed her the picture.

"The frowned brows and frown kinda made it look even better." Heizou tapped Kuki's cheek "But the little blush made it much cuter!"

Saying that Heizou sprinted away, before Kuki could get mad at him for a comment like that.

"You little-" Kuki said before running after him

Context:

Furina and Wanderer are roommates and are dating (bcs I am the author and can do whatever I want).

Have I ever been in a dorm? No.

Do I still know how a dorm is supposed to be like? No.

So am I going with something random that is probably not how a dorm is supposed to look like? Yes.

Here is the basic layout of their dorm: The dorm has three main rooms. The room you get when you first enter the dorm is living room that is connected to a kitchen [they both are in the same room, like a walk-in kitchen that is not separated.] The living room consists of a soft sofa and a t.v. There is a room on the right and a room on the left [these rooms are bedrooms for our sweet couple].

I think that's about it... Hopefully you understood the dorm layout, I tried my best but now that I am re-reading this, I don't think I wrote it well but that's the best I can do....

The weekend had finally arrived. So, now Furina and Wanderer could finally have a game night. They had started off by playing different games, Furina with Pokémon and Wanderer with Honkai Star Rail.

The main reason as to why Furina was playing Pokémon was so that she could get her hands on a shiny Eevee that she could evolve into a pretty pink Vaporeon.

She had horrible luck. And so, after a while she gave up and closed the game.

"Giving up so easily?" Wanderer asked, looking up at her

"I am not 'giving up'." Furina said as she got up and stretched "I am simply taking a strategic break from Pokémon. Regardless, I'm going to get a snack. Anything you would like?"

"Preferably your lips, and a can of soda." Wanderer said with a smirk

Furina sighed and shook her head. She went to the dorm kitchen. When she came back, she had a can of soda in one hand and a kit-kat in the other. Wanderer reached for the can of soda, but before he could grab it, Furina gave him a peck on the lips and then handed him the soda. Wanderer could feel his face heat up. Sure, they were dating but this was Wanderer's first time in a relationship, and he wasn't used to all this casual intimacy.

"For some who asked me for a kiss, you sure are flustered!" Furina giggled. She had taken a seat next to him.

"Yeah, yeah whatever." Wanderer said, going back to playing his game and taking a sip of his soda.

Furina had started playing Infinity Nikki.

They spent their time playing their respective games in comfortable silence, the audio of their games being the only noise, and the occasional fizz of Wanderer's soda.

After some time, Furina went to bed, stating that she was tired. Wanderer wished a good sleep and planted a kiss on her cheek, before she went back to her room. Furina gave him a smile and told him that he should also go sleep. He answered her with 'A little while later.'

Once he had made sure that Furina was fully asleep. He opened up his version of Pokémon Scarlet and kept resetting his game until an Eevee raid came up. He proceeded to reset the game for approximately 20 times until he succeeded. His luck changed for the better as he quickly found a shiny Eevee. He caught it using a quick ball and made it hold a water stone. He then opened up Furina's game (Pokémon Violet) and caught the first Pokémon he saw: a Flaaffy. He then joined 'Furina' in co-op and did a trade; giving Furina's account the shiny Eevee and giving himself the Flaaffy.

He smiled, knowing that when Furina would wake up the next day and open Pokémon Violet, she'd see a shiny Eevee the was fully prepared to evolve.

Context:

In my genshin modern au, Paimon is Aether and Lumine's younger sister and their mom is dead. Their dad is Dainsleif (who later marries Minsleif [if you watch her videos, you know that she is a simp for that man and I would like to fulfill her wishes]).

Also, Xiao and Lumine both have a crush on each other (bcs of course they do) but haven't confessed yet.

Xiao was at Lumine's place for the night. The two of them had been paired up for a project and had lost track of time. Lumine's dad wasn't home, he had gone on a work trip. Her younger sister Paimon had already gone to sleep, and Aether had gone over to a friend's house for the night.

Lumine had told Xiao that he could stay for the night, if he wanted to, they had a guest room and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. So, Xiao had called his older sister, Ganyu, to tell her the details. She didn't mind but told him to not stay up late. He didn't listen to her.

Right now, he and Lumine were in the balcony, looking out at the star-filled sky. Lumine had the brightest smile on her face as she pointed out the different constellations, she sounded so very happy.

"That one over there is 'Osmanthus'. The one who named it was Kadowaki Mai." Lumine said as she pointed at the group of starts that looked to be forming a pentagon. She then traced some other stars "And that one there is 'Sapientia Oromasdis'. It was named by Kimberley Anne Campbell. That specific group of stars reminded her of the Lesser Lord Kusanali, the goddess of Dendro."

Lumine continued to rant, but Xiao wasn't looking at the constellations now, he was looking at Lumine. He couldn't help himself. Lumine's eyes lit up as she ranted off and it seemed as if her eyes were the ones holding the galaxy. She looked like the happiest person alive, and Xiao was happy to be with her. He somehow managed to look away and looked at the star-lit sky once again.

".... if you look a bit closely, the 'Papilio Charontis' appears like a butterfly." Lumine looked at Xiao and tilted her head. "Would you like to know my favorite one though?"

Xiao nodded, trying to ignore how cute she looked when she tilted her head, as she pointed at a group of six stars "That one. It's called 'Alatus Nemeseos' and is named after the Liyue's ancient adepti. The one who founded the constellation was Matsuoka Yoshitsugu and he named it after the adeptus Alatus."

"Could I ask you why that one specifically is your favorite?"

Xiao asked as he looked at Lumine's honey gold eyes. She gave him a warm smile. He loved that smile.

"Because the adepti it was named after had the worst fate. All his friends, who he considered family, died a painful death. And the god who had saved him, the one he considered to be his father, was assassinated. He didn't interact with anyone, but when a mysterious traveller and their floating guide helped him find comfort and closure, he gave humanity another chance." Lumine wasn't looking at Xiao anymore, she was looking at the constellation "He still remained quiet, but he found people who gave him respect, comfort and most importantly love."

Xiao hummed in response.

They spent some more time on the balcony, Lumine continued to rant about different constellations, there was no stopping her from talking about her likes, but Xiao didn't mind, he liked it when she talked. Because she trusted him enough to be herself in front of him.

Xiao had also found his favorite constellation from the bunch Lumine and told him about. It was Viatrix. The constellation based upon the mysterious traveller that helped the ancient adepti.
