Work Text:
Fili is sitting slumped at the counter. The shelves are stocked, the phone is silent and the most beautiful man Fili has ever seen has walked in. He has swooped hair, almost an overgrown bowl cut, two eyebrow piercings in his left eyebrow over soft brown eyes that seem to see too much and a septum piercing.
Fili jerked upright, shutting his mouth which had dropped open, and knocked into a few arrangements that were on the counter. Fumbling, he managed to stop all but one.
Smash.
“Dwalin always gives me a free flower” the gorgeous angel laughed “but he usually doesn’t drop it at my feet”.
Dwalin came out of the back wearing a thick sweater and “Lad, what is going on . . . ah Ori” and sighed as he grabbed a broom and started to sweep up the mess.
“Ori” Fili repeated rather dazedly. “Hi.”
Dwalin eyed Fili as he finished cleaning up and reached over to the free standing flowers. “He is free on Thursday” Dwalin grouched, handing over a red rose to Ori.
Ori twirled the rose slowly, “You’re cute Blondie, and there is a new exhibit I would like to go to, you game?”
“Yes!” Fili jumped as Dwalin nudged him, “Yes, the new Tolkien exhibit looks amazing if sadly small. Just because he liked elves a bit too much seems like a terrible reason to not give him the recognition he deserves.”
Ori looked at Fili with appreciation, “How did you know it wasn’t the Harlequinade Exhibit?”
“You don’t strike me as a clown person,” Fili smirked.
Ori laughed as he left and Fili promptly ran into Dwalin who shoved the broom and dustpan into Fili’s hands and pointed to the back, Fili wilted and went to the back to begin clean up duties for the night.
