Today was a very special day in Numberland, for it was Feburary 14th; Valentine's Day, the day of love. Most people were with their signifigant others, spending this romantic day going on dates, giving gifts, all that romantic stuff. Zero, One, Two, Three, and Four, didn't really have any signifigant others, nor were they old enough to.To cure their sense of boredom, One decided that they should all spend the day hanging out with each other.
"No thanks, I'm kind of busy." Zero said, being the first to respond and the first to reject One's idea. All heads turned to the ghost girl who was a couple inches off the ground, her legs crossed as if she were sitting on the ground like everybody else.
"Busy with what?" Asked Three, who looked at Zero with skepticism. "It's a secret!" Answered Zero, her voice giddy with excitement, and a hint of mischief. One could sense that Zero was planning something, but whether or not it's something good, remained a mystery. "Anyway, I gotta go! See you all tomorrow!" Zero said, standing up before zooming away.
The remaining 4 watched her go, standing there for a couple of seconds before Two, Three, and Four turned their attention to One, who looked right at them. After a moment of silence, Two finally spoke. "So, what should we do, One?"
After a couple minutes of walking, the 4 of them had finally arrived at a beautiful flower field, full of colorful flowers. There were white flowers, pink flowers; it was a field of flowers with all the colors of the rainbow, and there were even flowers with all sorts of shapes. The 4 kid looked at the flowerfield in awe, all collectively agreeing to hang out here because it looked so whimsical and there were a couple of large trees that provided shade.
One was carefully picking different colored flowers to use as a flower crown; Two was doing the same thing. Three was practicing her juggling routine, while Four was admiring the square shaped flowers, trying to look for a perfect green squared flower.
One was picking quite a lot of orange flowers without realizing it, only becoming aware of that fact when Two had looked over and pointed at the red girl's handful of flowers. "One, that's quite a lot of orange flowers you got there." One looked down at her hands and realized that she had in fact picked up a lot of orange flowers.
"Oh, silly me! I didn't notice that!" One tried to laugh it off, acting like her choice of flowers were a mere coincidence and definitely not because she had been thinking of a certain orange boy right next to her...
Three had finished up her juggling act and was reattaching her three bright red buttons to her shirt, when she turned her head slightly to One and Two, who were of making flower crowns.
"I'm having trouble tying this knot." Two complained, as he lowers his arms and lets out a sigh of defeat. One, who was next to him, looked at Two with slight pity, feeling bad for her friend. "Don't give up, Two, I'll teach you!". One moved closer to Two, unknowningly making the boy blush slightly. As One taught Two how to tie a knot for his flower crown, Three watched on, being more amused, and also a tad bit annoyed just from watching the pair.
Three walked over to Four, who sitting cross legged, picking sqaure flowers. Four heard the sound of Three's 3 small bells ringing as she approched. He turned to face the jester girl, who stopped right next to him and sat down. The small bells on Three's crown rang with every movement she made. Four didn't say anything, nor did he continue what he was doing, he just stared at Three, his gaze on her curly hair which she had tied into pigtails, and her painted face with rosy red cheeks and orange diamonds. He's trying his best not to make it obvious that he's looking at her, but even he knew that Three knew he was looking at her, which didn't make things any better.
"Look at those two. Both being somehow oblivious to each other's crush on one another." Three said, her eyes never leaving her brother and his best friend. Upon hearing Three's words, Four snapped out of his daze and turned to One and Two, who had just finished making their flower crowns.
"Well they are still young, so it makes sense why they haven't realized it yet." Four replied, a warm smile on his face as he watched the pair from afar. He would never tell this to anyone, but he secretly envies how well One and Two get along, as he and Three would and could never be as close as them.
"Well, I'm only a year older than Two and two years older than One, yet I can see it just fine...." Three started ranting about her thoughts on One and Two's obliviousness to the situation they're in, but Four wasn't really paying attention. He just continued staring at Three, occasionally looking back at One and Two from time to time.
Zero had been secretly taking photos of everyone in Numberland as they celebrated Valentine's Day, she was never interested in romance for herself, but she loved seeing everybody being so lovey dovey with each other, she even accidentally found out some secret relationships that nobody else had known about. She didn't really know what to do with all these pictures, maybe she could use them for blackmail? Who knows? She just thought it'd be a fun idea. She was going about her day, checking out all the pictures she took already.
Fourteen had taken Thirteen to the skatepark for their Valentine's day date. Zero had taken a picture right at the moment Fourteen had said Thirteen's name, causing the his date to split into Three and Ten.
Ten and Twenty were on a classic romantic date at a restaurant. Zero thought the scene looked too romantic, so she took a picture the moment she saw them and took off.
Five and Six were at Six's house playing some music after having played a board game. Zero, being a ghost and all, was able to fly and snap a quick pick, before Six had noticed the ghost girl's presence and called her out. Zero had to leave in a hurry.
Zero was just about to look at the next photo when she heard Three's voice. Zero hid behind a tree and took a slight peak, seeing Three and Four next to each other. Three seemed to be rambling about something Zero didn't really give care about, but Four seemed focused on Three, which made Zero grin with excitement.
"Aw, how cute. It's a double date." Zero said quietly, to no one in particular. Zero quickly took out her camera and snapped a picture.
