It was a peaceful day in the demon world (or underworld i forgot the setting), Iruma has just finished getting ready to go to school–
“Young master Iruma, why are you wearing that?”
Opera, the redheaded cat-like demon deadpanned to the blue headed human.
“What do you mean? It's my uniform, isn't it?”
“Young master..its a school holiday..”
“...”
“...”

Iruma had just finished making a fool of himself to his family member. In his room, absolutely isolated from everyone as his grandfather went to his office space to finish up a few last minute documents that, in his words, “ABSOLUTELY DID NOT SLIP HIS MIND”, and opera was off who knows where with the girls of his class.
“They seem to be getting along well”
He happily exclaimed in his thoughts.
After a few minutes of trying to pass the time, he decided that he would read a book that Lied recommended. The title read in bold letters,
‘A curious demon.’
“What a catchy name.”
The blue headed human flipped open the first pages of the book, it was from lied so he’s expecting some sort of love story, what he got instead was a mystery thriller filled with very…graphic descriptions of the crime, or more specifically, murder scenes..
In a state of absolute horror, he closed the book from reflex. [ A/N, hc when he drew manga and scary scenes came up, the director(?) would tell him to close his eyes so now he has a habit of closing his eyes or closing books when he sees something too scary for him]
“Aaaa..that was.”
Iruma contemplated what he just read, concluding a very justified opinion.
“When I open this book again, I better not read what i thought i just read.”
“Read what?”
To his shock, a certain redhead cat(?) demon was beside him, eyeing him with curiosity.
“O..Opera-san..”
Unfortunately, or luckily, whichever one you want, opera seemed to know what kind of book the blue haired human was reading. Iruma noticed that opera’s ears drooped slightly,
“aaa ... .they must be upset..”
Iruma pondered about what he could do to cheer the catlike demon up, maybe he could help with some chores around the house. No, i dont think opera would let me work on holiday..
“My my, young master. You shouldn't be reading such…graphic novels”
The redheaded demon sighed whilst throwing the book across the room and out the door earning a startled shout from the blue haired human.
“I..i wasn't planning on reading the whole thing. It was actually pretty scary for me..”
“Should i just burn it?”
Opera lightly mumbled under their breath, already coming up with 10 different ways to get rid of the novel that terrified his family member so much that he would close the book on reflex
“YOU CANT!!”
“Hmm? Why is that?”
“Aaa..i borrowed that from lied-san”
“Oh?”
The redhead looks to be contemplating something, maybe he wont burn it?
“ im not sure children should have those kinds of books in their possession. I should give a proper scolding in the next class i have with him”
Nevermind. Iruma should just pray that lied survives whatever this terrifying demon calls a ‘proper scolding’
“Im sorry lied-san..”
In another household, lied was peacefully playing games with his new gaming buddy, purson, when he felt a chill going up his spine.
“I have a dark feeling that im going to die after this holiday.”
The blonde demon gulped, much to pursons surprise.
“What are you talking about now?”
“ i just have this weird hunch..”
