Chapter 1: Fredbear's

Chapter Text

Hurricane, Utah. March 3rd, 2024

April was getting tired of this. She's been looking for Marcy for six months now. Her family home in Connecticut, empty. Camp, empty. All of the usual places were empty. She even checked that silly Pizzeria she kept talking about.

Empty.

She was already in Hurricane because Fritter didn't want to go alone (on account of the murders going about), so she figured it couldn't hurt to check the OTHER, abandoned, silly pizzeria Marcy wouldn't shut up about.

"Hey, Fritter?"

"Yes, Cass?" Fritter took their hands off the wheel to adjust their shirt collar. Despite them driving.

"Can we take a little detour down to this old diner? The map says it's just past that bridge on the left."

The car swerves as Fritter frantically grabs the wheel to stabilize the car. "U-uhm... Isn't that where the last body was found? I- I'm gonna be real with you, Cass, I don't really..."

"Come on, Fritter. I'm with you. I have lifted your entire apartment complex."

"...."

". . . . I'll get Miss Stark to pay for your rent"

"Next time, lead with that."

Funnily enough, through their banter, they had already driven to Aprils destination. Fredbear's Family Diner!

"Lordy, this place is messed up.. So much overgrown vegetation. What is this, a zombie movie? Alright, you can go now, Fritter! Thanks for the ride."

Fritter nods as they quickly lock the doors again. "Yeah, no.. uh.. no problem, Cass. Be careful, please." And then they drove off.

"How many people have even gone missing anyway.." April muttered to herself as she pushes open the old, broken doors. It was.. creepy. April never liked abandoned buildings. 16 years old and she still feels uneasy in abandoned buildings. Granted, the giant, rotund yellow mechanical bear with dried blood on its jaw staring her down from across the room didn't help either. Nor did the absence of its counterpart big rabbit. "Jeez.. To think she'd wanna come here. I'll never understand that woman. Pretty as she is, she's REALLY weird. Ain't that right, tacky tablecloth?"

. . . . . . . . .

"Heh, you can't talk. Anywho. MARCY? MARCELIIINE?" She called for Marcy as she walked through the building.

There was no response. Only the dripping of the busted water pipes and the burning on the back of her neck.

...

She slowly shuts the door to the main room as she stepped into the kitchen. It was a genuine mess. One of the deep fryers was broken, with a single blob of solid.. something in it. The burning on her neck intensified. She carefully investigates the broken fryer. It was just a large clump of fried chicken.. but it didn't look right.

"No wonder this place shut down.. Why would Marcy even be-"

CLANG

The sound of something big and metal falling over can be heard from a room across the building. April knew it was a bad idea, but she followed the noise to the Parts & Service room in the back.

She gently opens the door...
