Door wide open.
The floor littered with breadcrumbs. For the fifth time this week...
On top of all this, a big nasty rat has taken over your bed.
At first you didn't recognize him. Or more like couldn't, as he cocooned himself into your blanket. After he growled though, you instantly knew it was him. This time, however, and thankfully, he didn't jump at you.
"A racoon would've been better." You moaned into your palms, as you dragged them over your face. "Those at least can be thrown out easily."
Flashing in red, a pair of offended eyes looked up at you from the warmth of your blanket.
"Why are you in there anyway?!" You got back on track.
"Quit screaming!" He snapped back at you. "Seriously, can't a guy take a nap every now and then?" His voice sounded rather weird. He was breathing heavier and more frequently.
As gentle as one could do in this situation, you tried to persuade the Knocker to leave your bed, as you wanted to use it yourself. He just looked at you with uncaring eyes. He even pulled the covers back over himself. You almost pulled your hair out.
"Ah. I was wondering where that suffocating smell was coming from." The familiar clicks of a pair of boots hitting against your wooden floor made the new presence known to you.
As if you didn't have enough problems already, and now August was also breathing down your neck. No later than a second, you heard the wood at your balcony creek. Your sweet arachnid stalker chirped once they set foot in your house. They sniffed around, then turned to the Knocker, tilting their head in confusion.
"What the hell's going on?!" The Knocker growled. "Get the fuck out!"
"I'd say the same to you!" You grabbed your blanket and tried to pull it off him. "I want to sleep now."
The blanket didn't budge, much like the beast under it. You gave up after a good minute of pulling.
"Why can't I have one normal day..." You sighed.
While you fought fiercely for your rightful space, Lenny made themselves comfortable on your ceiling. They offered you a ball of fluff when you were done (along with everything). You murmured out a quiet thanks to the creature and put the "gift" away in a designated chest. It had quite the collection inside. Deceased flesh, decaying hearts, and other delicacies.
August followed your movements with his eyes, staying in the corner furthest away from your bed.
"Interesting..." He murmured. You gave him a quick glance, curious at what he meant. "His smell doesn't affect you at all."
With a puzzled look, you turned to him. "What smell?"
Silence fell across the room. The Knocker finally pushed his head out from under your blanket.
"Makes sense..." He muttered, looking disappointed. You were even more confused now. Upon seeing the reaction, August scoffed in delight.
"What was your plan here? ~" He teased, earning a growl from the other. Meanwhile, you walked over to a chest and took out some wool and wood. You were not waiting for someone to explain things until the Sun came back up.
"And what are 'you' doing?" Now August's attention was on you. You turned to him.
"Making a new bed, since 'someone' stole it. Along with my bread. AGAIN!"
August clicked his tongue, as if playfully scolding you. "Well, what was a frail little omega like him supposed to do?"
You froze on the spot. "An ome- What!?"
Flashbacks of the things you've read with 'that' word before ran through your mind. You hoped you just misheard it.
August tilted his head to the side. "You know. An omega. Never met one of those?" He sounded like he was mocking you, but you seriously had no idea what he was talking about for a hot minute.
Aside from these three and some farming ones, you don't remember getting a mod with freaking omegaverse in it. Did a friend or sibling of yours download one to prank you? Or did one of the farming mods had a feature like that?
"You just had to be a beta." The Knocker grumbled under your blanket. You look at the two, cold sweat dripping down your head.
"I'm not a beta! I'm nothing!" You screamed in defence.
"Well, you're not an alpha for sure." August huffed out a cloud of smoke. When did he have the time to light a cigarette? "But even betas can smell pheromones. Are you maybe-"
Before he could finish that question, you swallowed some pills. He was gone in a matter of seconds. But that meant you still had the other two to tend to.
"Finally. He annoyed me." The Knocker groaned. You looked at him, unease swelling up in you.
"So ..." You were afraid to say it, but you wanted confirmation. "Are you... in heat?"
The Knocker didn't say anything. Only looked at you with dark eyes. That was enough for you.
"You should've said something. Is there anything I can do now?" You carefully approached the bed again. The Knocker's eyes softened a bit.
"Some water."
In less than five minutes, you were back with a bottle of fresh water. He finally pulled the covers off his head, allowing you to see his rosy face. Bafflingly, he was still wearing his hoodie.
You watched as the Knocker slowly drank the bottle's contents. Some of it did flow out from the corner of his mouth though. Once finished, he gave the empty bottle back to you and put his head back onto your pillow, keeping his gaze on you.
You saw movement from your balcony, so you turned your head there. To your dismay, August came back. He was smoking, face turned towards the full Moon in the sky. You put the empty bottle on the crafting table next to the bed, then looked back at the shadow.
You began to wonder. If the omegaverse really existed in this world, and the Knocker was an omega, then what was August and Lenny? Neither of them acted up in the presence of an omega in heat, so you wanted to rule out them being alphas. But what if they just had strong self-control?
"Curiosity killed the cat, Hase." August said, still looking at the Moon. You flinched.
"How did you-"
Now August turned to you, and in a blink was right in front of you. "My little magic. But why do you want to know 'that', hm? Do you want pups or something?"
Your heart skipped a beat. "WHAT!?"
Your eyes caught onto something moving behind August's back. It was a long, fluffy wolf tail, wagging slowly and gracefully. You couldn't recall ever seeing something like that on him before. You looked back at his face. As if on cue, he took off his hat, revealing a pair of even fluffier wolf ears.
"Since when did you have those?" You asked. August huffed.
"Don't tell me you've never seen someone with their tail and ears out."
You wanted to say that you haven't but instead asked something else. "Why do you have them out now?"
August shrugged. "To feel pretty."
Suddenly, you felt something tugging on your clothes. It was the Knocker.
"You need somethi-" Your words got buried into his chest, as your body got harshly pulled down into the bed. You were quicky stuck in the strong hold of his arms. You were so surprised by the sudden turn of events; you forgot to struggle. The Knocker took advantage of it and brushed his nose against your head.
August quietly watched you two. He watched as the Knocker wandered his hands around your body. As you tried to comfortably wiggle out of the bear hug. Just when you found an opening to slip out, August sat right there on the bed, trapping you more effectively. The Knocker gave him a dirty look.
"Guys, I want to sleep!" You yelled, though it sounded muffled as it all got absorbed into the Knocker's hoodie.
"Then sleep." Your captor mumbled. You looked back at August, who was now laying on his side, closing off any other escape routes. Soon enough, Lenny got off from the ceiling, covering the three of you like a blanket.
Accepting your defeat, you closed your eyes. As sleep began to take you off to dreamland, you heard two rhythmic thumping on the mattress. One of them came from behind, the other in front of you, under the blanket.
