Work Text:

"...Ughhh! Where is Sunna!!? She was supposed to be up 15 minutes ago!" Nangong cried, frustratingly pacing back and forth.

"I-I don't know! She hasn't said anything in our DMs, m-maybe she overslept? Maybe you should...go check on her?" Aria replied.

"Alright, I'll go check on her. Be right back!" Nagngon replied, waving and quickly dashing down the nearby hall to the Angels' rooms.

Sunna's room was the furthest down the hall of the bunch. Nagngong jogged her way to the front of Sunna's room, decorated heavily in AoD paraphinelia.

She had prepared to bang on her door, hoping to get her attention, but...something wasn't right.

Nangong could hear something feintly from Sunna's room, and it only grew louder as she got nearer. Even then, it was barely above a whisper.

She pressed her ear to her idolmate's door, and her heart sunk.

Sunna was...crying. Just loud enough that she could tell.

Nangong quietly tried opening the door, hearing the tumbler click. Slowly she peered into the room, Sunna luckily hadn't noticed.

Nangong only felt her heart sink further. Sunna was sitting at the foot of her bed, hugging her legs tightly against her face. She could see the tears streaming down her cheeks.

Nangong hesitated just for a second, before gently calling out to the poor girl.

"Sunna?" She called out, quietly enough that it hopefully wouldn't startle her.

"N-Nangong!?" She replied quickly, her voice still wavering from her tears. Sunna quickly stood up, using the sleeves on her shirt to wipe away her tear-stricken face, trying her best to seem unbothered. "D-did I miss our training s-session? I-I'm so-so-so sorry! I-I'm ready now! Let's g-"

Nangong stopped her. "Sunna." She said, sliding inside the younger girl's room, closing the door behind her. Sunna was still shaking.

"It's okay. I promise. Please...tell me what's wrong. I'm not mad at you for being late." Nangong said quietly, motioning for Sunna to sit next to her.

Sunna quietly took a seat next to Nangong on her bed, trying her best to compose herself. Nangong placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to show a comforting smile. "What's got you so upset?"

Sunna just sat quietly for a few moments, looking down at the floor, trying ever so hard to make the tears stop welling in her eyes.

"E-ever since we m-made that video...the-the one where you...h-held me..." She said, turning her head to face her idolmate, tears still streaming. "I-I've had these...f-feelings...about y-you! A-a-and I don't w-what to do..." Her voice continued, getting higher as she became more emotional, sniffling as her face was beet red.

"Oh Sunna...." Nangong began, gently reaching a hand up to touch Sunna's cheek, her face full of empathy and compassion.

"I-I'm so-so-so sorry-" Sunna's soft cry was quickly interrupted when Nangong wrapped her arms tightly around Sunna.

"Shhhh....you don't have to apologize." She cooed quietly.

She could tell Sunna had a lot of pent up emotions, ones that couldn't be held back.

Sunna practically melted. She gripped Nangong back as tightly as she could, her tears freely flowing as she let out all her frustration and anxiety.

Nangong had to try her hardest not to tear up herself. One hand gently ran over Sunna's head, caressing her softly. The other remained on her back, holding her tight. She slowly rocked the girl back and forth. "It's okay, you can let it all out. I'll hold you as long as you need."

The two just sat in each other's embrace. Sunna sniffled as she felt herself beginning to regain her composure. She slowly broke the hug, trying to smile in appreciation for Nangong's comfort.

"W-We're still friends, right?" Sunna asked timidly.

Nangong giggled a bit at the cutely naive question, smiling. "I thought you had feelings for me?"

Sunna's face grew bright red again. "B-but I thought-"

Nangong quickly shushed her with a quick finger to the girls' lips. "The truth is...I've had feelings for you too, Sunna. I just...was afraid to tell you."

Sunna's face was still bright red, as her eyes diverted themselves in embarassment. "Y-you better not be messing with me again!" She said, pouting cutely.

Nangong giggled again, gently intertwining her fingers with Sunna's. Sunna's breath hitched.

"May I...kiss you, Sunna?" She replied, smirking.

Sunna was stunned by the question for a moment, before instinctively nodding her head sheepishly.

Nangong brought her other hand up to caress Sunna's face, before enveloping her in a passionate kiss.

Sunna's eyes widened briefly, before closing them in bliss. She held Nangong's hand against her tightly.

After a few intimiate moments, they finally broke contact. Nangong saw that Sunna's eyes were watering again, only this time, it was out of love.

Sunna quickly lunged forward, enveloping Nangong in a bear hug of her own. "I love you so much Nangong! Y-you've made me the happiest girl in New Eridu!" She cried.

Nangong felt Sunna's compassion envelop her heart in a warm loving embrace. "Awww....I love you too, Sunna. My sweet angel."

The two laid in each other's embrace, admiring each other's love and warmth, as the time flew by, unwavering.
