Leashed

Summary:

Nagisa is waiting at Karma's place for him to come home. When he finally does make it to his apartment, he has a package in hand.

What's in the package? Why a collar and leash, of course!

A collar and leash that Karma wants Nagisa to put on him.

Notes:

The inspiration for this fanfic came from an illustration by @pankocrumo on Tumblr!

Work Text:

It was late in the afternoon on a Friday, and Nagisa was currently at Karma's apartment sitting on the couch by himself.

He was waiting for Karma to make it home, but unfortunately, he was still at work.

It wasn't uncommon for Karma to stay back late some days, and although it was annoying, it was something that Nagisa had gotten used to, especially since they started dating.

Nagisa checked his phone for what was probably the fifth time in the past fifteen minutes. No new messages.

“He was supposed to be home by now...” Nagisa murmured to himself.

Maybe he was being just a little impatient.

He sighed to himself as he sunk deeper into the couch.

Suddenly, Nagisa's ears picked up the distinctive ‘click’ of the front door being unlocked.

without missing a beat, Nagisa stood up and padded his way over to the front door to greet him.

Even if he had been impatiently waiting for Karma to come home, he didn't want to come across as too eager.

“Karma, Welcome home.” He greeted calmly as Karma stepped inside the apartment.

“Sounds like someone missed me,” Karma replied smugly. “Hello Nagisa.”

Nagisa rolled his eyes.

“How was work?” he asked, his gaze following Karma as he walked further into the apartment.

“In a word? Boring?” Karma replied as he loosened his tie. “Would've been home sooner, but they just absolutely insisted that this next budget report had to be done by tonight. It didn't.”

“Hm?” Nagisa hummed, now noticing the package in Karma's hand.

“Did you order something, Karma?” He asked, tilting his head slightly.

“Something like that,” Karma answered, placing the package on the kitchen counter. “Would you like to open it?”

Nagisa raised an eyebrow as he stepped towards the kitchen counter.

“Our anniversary is still not for a few more months…” he mused quietly as he reached out to the package to unwrap it.

…

Nagisa was silent as he stared at the object inside the now opened parcel

Slowly, he reached inside and lifted the object up to eye level.

…A dog… collar…?

“...are you getting a pet dog?” Nagisa asked as he inspected the collar and accompanying leash, turning it around in his hand.

“Nope,” Karma replied, enunciating the word with a sharp pop. “Apartment doesn't allow animals, remember?”

Nagisa turned his attention to Karma, tilting his head in confusion. “Then… what's it for?”

“It's for you. Well, for me, technically.” Karma grinned. “Consider it a… surprise gift. From me, to you, to me."

“...For you?” Nagisa echoed softly, still processing the implication.

Suddenly, his eyes went wide, and a heat crept rapidly up his face.

Karma chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement.“There we are! I knew you'd catch on eventually.”

“You… want me… to put this… on you?” Nagisa stammered, holding the collar and leash a distance away from him as though it may bite him.

“That about sums it up,” Karma replied, clearly reveling in Nagisa's flustered discomfort.

“...Why?” Nagisa asked quietly, his eyes darting away to look at anywhere but Karma.

“Figured it might be... interesting,” Karma said, closing the distance until he was towering over Nagisa. “C’mon, Nagisa, aren't you even a little curious?”

“Well…” Nagisa murmured.

“Nagisa~” Karma drawled. "I promise you, it'll be fun."

Nagisa felt a shiver run down his spine.

…

Maybe he was just a little curious.

A small, tiny bit curious.

…

“...Alright, fine,” Nagisa relented, relaxing his shoulders.

He was walking right into Karma's trap, he was entirely aware of that.

But… even still, he was… maybe just a bit interested in seeing what it might be like to have Karma on a leash.

Only a bit.

Was that perverted? Nagisa felt perverted.

“Oh? You sure folded quick. I guess you must be more into it than you're letting on,” Karma teased with a smug grin. “You know, If I'd had known, I would've suggested it sooner.”

Nagisa furrowed his brow in agitation and clenched his hand around the collar.

On second thought, he was absolutely putting this on him.

“Hm? Did something I say upset you, Nagisa? You're cute when you're angry, you know that?” Karma added, taking in Nagisa's expression with a grin that didn't even try to hide his amusement.

Silently, Nagisa extended the collar towards Karma. “Here. Put it on.”

Karma didn't reply right away, instead letting the moment sit as he stared down at Nagisa with a growing smirk.

“No,” he eventually replied, his tone smug and infuriating.

Nagisa sighed. He wasn't stupid. Karma may have been the one to suggest this, but he wasn't going to make it easy.

Slowly, Nagisa unclasped the collar and reached upwards towards Karma's neck.

It was unfair how tall Karma was compared to him. Trying to get the collar up to and around his neck was not exactly convenient.

Nagisa lifted himself up on the front of his toes. He almost had it, when suddenly, Karma rose up onto his toes, just out of reach..

Nagisa narrowed his eyes as he glared up at Karma.

“Is there a problem, Nagisa?” Karma asked, looking down at him with a knowing smirk.

“Multiple problems,” Nagisa muttered.

“Seriously, for someone whose whole idea this was–”

Nagisa reached up and grabbed Karma by the shoulders, pulling him down before he could react.

“–You're being decidedly difficult.”

Before Karma could move away again, Nagisa quickly fastened the collar around his neck with a sharp click. “There.”

“Don't you think you made it a bit tight?” Karma said with mock complaint, reaching a finger between the collar and his neck and tugging at it lightly.

“You're lucky I didn't make it any tighter,” Nagisa replied casually and calmly as he reached for the leash, clipping it onto the front of the collar.

“How generous of you,” Karma said, a hand fiddling with the lead. “So, you've got me on a leash now, good job. What are you going to do next, I wonder?”

Nagisa paused, giving the question unusually earnest consideration. His grip tightened around the leash, deliberate and steady.

"Nagisa~ the anticipation is simply killing me over here," Karma said sarcastically, yanking on the leash from his end and causing Nagisa to stumble slightly.

“I don't know… I can do quite a lot, can't I?” Nagisa finally said, tilting his head up to look at Karma.

“Oh? Suddenly sounding confident, are we? Just because you've got a collar on me doesn't mean I'm not still in control–”

Karma began, before abruptly cutting himself off as Nagisa gave a sharp tug on the leash.

“You were saying?” Nagisa asked, keeping a firm grip.

Karma paused deliberately, then slowly and gracefully straightened back up. Although Nagisa had kept a firm hold on the leash, Karma strength allowed him to overpower this with ease.

“As I was saying… I'm still very much in control, Nagisa. But… I'll admit, you did catch me by surprise for a second there,” Karma said, leaning in slightly. “Good for you.”

‘Good for you.’

The words echoed in Nagisa's mind. Seriously… where does Karma get off being so infuriating all the time? His grip tightened around the leash.

“Still in control, right?” Nagisa asked, a dangerous smirk creeping up his face.

Karma grinned, a spark of interest in his eyes as he noted Nagisa's change in expression.

Nagisa was so close to giving in, Karma just needed to give him a little… push.

“Yep, still in control. Why? Planning on doing something about it?” He challenged.

Without hesitation, Nagisa yanked sharply on the leash, pulling Karma toward him. “Maybe I will.”

Karma gulped, the smirk on his face faltering only slightly. His eyes went wide, and he could feel his heart thumping violently in his chest. There was a sudden warmth creeping up his neck.

“...Nagisa?” Karma asked, his voice cracking slightly.

“Yes, Karma?” Nagisa replied.

Karma froze, the heat creeping further up his face as Nagisa held his gaze. He was supposed to say something, but the words wouldn't come. The smirk on his face finally faltered, widened into something more awkward.

After a prolonged silence, Karma let his eyelids fall shut before finally speaking up. “...Nothing, nevermind.”

“Good boy,” Nagisa replied softly, the compliment slipping out before he could stop himself.

As soon as those words left his lips, both of them went still.

An awkward silence stretched between them as they were suddenly unable to look each other in the eyes.

...

“...'Good boy'? Seriously? What am I? A dog?” Karma eventually muttered quietly, seemingly struggling to get the words out.

However, as Karma stared at Nagisa, and took in his current situation, he decided that he didn't want Nagisa to answer that particular question.

“...Actually, don't answer that.” he added, his face noticeably red.

“...Well, you are wearing a collar, aren't you?” Nagisa said, delivering a light tug on the leash to emphasise his point.

“I guess I am, aren't I?” Karma replied, his breathing now a bit heavier than it was before.

“Maybe it's time I take this off–” he began, his voice smooth but hiding a quickening pulse beneath as he reached for the back of the collar.

Before he could finish his sentence, Nagisa gave another sharp tug. Karma stumbled forward, hastily reaching out for something, anything, he could use to regain his balance.

It just so happened that the ‘something’ turned out to be Nagisa.

“Seriously, Nagisa?” Karma exclaimed, grabbing Nagisa by his shoulders.

“...Huh.” Nagisa murmured to himself.

“Huh?” Karma echoed with a sly grin. “You’re thinking something, aren't you? You've got that look. Mind filling me in, or should I start making random guesses?”

“Stand up, we're going to the bedroom,” Nagisa said, tugging authoritatively on the leash.

Karma froze, seemingly unable to parse Nagisa's words.

Nagisa gave another tug.

“...Wait, seriously?” Karma finally exclaimed. “You're being serious about this? You, Nagisa Shiota? I mean, not that I'm complaining, far from it, just… put me down as a bit surprised.”

“...Well, this is why you bought it, isn't it? It would be a waste if we didn't at least try it out,” Nagisa said, tugging the leash lightly once more, his calm tone hiding the anticipation that lurked beneath.

When Karma continued to not stand back up, Nagisa responded not with words, but by simply making his way towards the bedroom, leash in hand.

It took only a few steps before the leash went taut, and for Karma to suddenly find himself being forcefully pulled in Nagisa's direction. To avoid falling over, he stumbled up onto his feet and caught up to Nagisa.

“Well it looks like someone's having fun with this,” Karma said, his voice laced with condescension. “You still haven't thanked me yet. For the surprise gift.”

“Hm?” Nagisa hummed, as he turned his head to look behind him at Karma. “I guess you're right.”

Slowly, Nagisa turned around to face him.

“Huh? What are you–” Karma began, his sentence being cut short.

Nagisa suddenly pulled down on the leash until Karma's face was brought down to his. With both hands, he gently grabbed hold of Karma's face, and brought their lips together.

Karma's words instantly died in his mouth, his face slowly turning an impossibly bright red.

All things considered, it was an extremely chaste kiss. Mere moments later, Nagisa broke the kiss off. It ended no sooner than it had begun.

“What… the hell…” Karma murmured to himself. He was surprised, not by Nagisa, but by himself. By how utterly affected he was by what just happened.

“There, is that better, Karma?” Nagisa asked, his innocent tone in contradiction with the situation at hand.

“...If that wasn't enough, I have some ideas on other ways I could show you my appreciation,” he added a beat later, those provocative words sounding impossibly innocent.

For a moment, Karma stood there in stunned silence.

What is wrong with me today…? Karma thought to himself. He brought a hand up to his face only to feel how unreasonably warm it had suddenly become.

“Nagisa,” Karma said, his voice low. “Nagisa, what do you mean by that?”

Nagisa delivered another sharp tug, while also shortening the length of the lead in his hand. “You'll find out… soon enough.”

Karma's breathing got slightly heavier, the building anticipation clearly affecting him more than he would ever admit.

‘...show you my appreciation… you'll find out… soon enough.’

The words echoed in his mind, like the irresistible call of a siren.

It wouldn't be much longer before he found out what exactly Nagisa had meant by that.

It was now Saturday morning, and Nagisa found himself sitting on the living room couch nursing a coffee. Karma was still asleep last he checked, thoroughly worn out from last night's… events.

Still, he made sure to take the liberty of removing the collar in the morning. He glanced over to the kitchen counter, where it currently sat. A reminder of what had happened between them last night.

His eyes drifted elsewhere, a faint blush crept up his face as he took another sip from his coffee.

If Karma didn't wake up soon, he’d probably have to wake him up himself. They had agreed to meet Kayano for lunch, and he didn't care how tired Karma was, he wasn't going to let them be late.

Finally, Nagisa heard noise coming from down the hall. He had been with Karma long enough by now to know that was the sound of him getting up and getting dressed.

“Morning Karma. I was starting to think I’d have to wake you up,” Nagisa said, greeting him as he emerged from the hallway.

“Hey, and whose fault do you think it is that I had to sleep in?” Karma shot back, although he sounded quite pleased about it, all things considered.

“What's the rush, anyways?” he asked a moment later, making his way to the coffee machine.

“Kayano invited us over for lunch, remember? I think it's that fancy new Italian place that recently opened up,” Nagisa answered.

“Hmm… I think I've been there, actually. Some work function. The food's good, though I wouldn't say the same about the company. Sets the bar low for Kayano at least,” Karma said as he walked over, coffee in hand. “We should probably be better dressed if we're going someplace like that.”

“Oh, you're right. But… all my good clothes are at my place.” Nagisa replied.

“Relax, I'll go get changed, and then we can stop by your place on the way,” Karma said, already turning back around towards his bedroom.

A few minutes later, Karma returned wearing a fancy, yet casual, suit, complete with a tie.

“Ok, now let's head to my place. If we leave now we should still be able to make it to the restaurant in time,” Nagisa announced, getting up and walking towards the front door.

“Who said anything about leaving now?” Karma asked, reaching out for the coffee he had made only a few minutes ago. “I still haven't finished my morning coffee yet, Nagisa.”

“But, if we don't leave now, we might be late,” Nagisa replied.

“Kayano can survive a few minutes by herself.” Karma took a casual sip of his coffee. “Besides, it's not my fault you forgot to bring a change of clothes.”

“Well, I wasn't exactly planning on staying the night at first, but then… well…” Nagisa trailed off, memories of last night flooding back.

He mentally kicked himself, wondering how on earth he was able to so calmly do all those… those things to Karma last night without dying of shame or embarrassment. Or both!

Karma smirked as he watched Nagisa's face heat up. “Remembering something, Nagisa?”

Karma's comment made Nagisa's eyelid twitch. Without giving it a second thought, and without a word, he closed the distance, grabbing Karma by the tie, and pulled him downwards.

“We're going to the car. Now,” Nagisa said, his voice flat and authoritative.

They both froze, a silence stretching between them as they both felt a heat creeping up their necks

As soon as the situation hit Nagisa, he let go of Karma's tie and took a step backwards, his face flushed.

“Um… I'm sorry, I… I don't know what came over me…” he stammered.

Karma straightened back up, adjusting his tie with casual grace. “Glad to see you're… eager, but maybe we should keep that sort of thing to the bedroom.”

“...That was dangerous,” he murmured to himself, his eyes darting off to the side as the faintest sign of a blush lingered on his face.

After a moment, Karma stepped past Nagisa, and towards the front door.

“Car, right? Your place?” He called over his shoulder.

“Right, coming,” Nagisa replied, following behind Karma.

As they left the apartment, he looked over his shoulder, giving one final glance to the collar and leash that sat alone on the kitchen counter.

Maybe he should make Karma wear it again some day, Nagisa thought as he closed the door behind them.
