Work Text:

Night had fallen as Celebrimbor and Annatar entered into Celebrimbor’s private chambers. The dark wooden floors of the room were illuminated by the pale moonlight streaming in through the window as a slight breeze blew from outside, gently rustling the pages within the piles of books and work notes Celebrimbor had scattered on the various tables within his chambers. A fire had already been lit in the fireplace in the far left corner of the room, the light contrasting with the dim light from the night outside.

The pair began to make their way to the center of the room and stood near the foot of Celebrimbor’s bed. Celebrimbor seemed frustrated as Annatar came up behind him and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder.

Celebrimbor had been suffering from strange and horrid visions recently, of drowning in the Belegaer as Beleriand sunk around him and seeing his dead uncles’ and father’s water logged corpses rise from the deep to drag him down into the murky depths below.

In others, he would be standing in the forests of Doriath as his uncle Tyelko and father Curvo would hunt him down relentlessly before catching him. The visions would end with the both of them emotionlessly standing over Celebrimbor’s dismembered body as he bled out onto Doriath’s soft grass.

Lastly, he would see Ost-in-Edhil and Eregion burning as armies of orcs laid waste to the city, and Celebrimbor would see his body, shot through with orcish arrows, crucified and left to rot at the city center, a dire warning for all who came to Eregion.

These dreams had greatly disturbed Celebrimbor as of late, as they came without seeming cause. He had at first attributed them to lack of sleep or stress, but they did not cease after any rest. Tonight, he sought out Annatar’s assistance to chase these visions away or determine their cause.

“Why is there such evil in this world, Annatar?”, Celebrimbor asked as he stared outside the window, hints of sadness and frustration rising to the surface. “Why must I suffer? What spell has been placed on me that I should have these horrific visions?”

Annatar kept his hand on Celebrimbor’s shoulder and solemnly answered, “Because it is a corruption of a perfect world, as a result of the limitations of the Valar.”

Celebrimbor sighed deeply and answered quietly, “The Valar were the ones that doomed my people, or did we damn ourselves? Has Irmo decided to curse me as Mandos already has?”

Celebrimbor sighed deeply, desperately fighting back waves of tears. “What could possibly be done about such destruction?”, he asked himself quietly, “How can I stop it?”

“Do you seek knowledge then, Celebrimbor Curufinwion?”, Annatar asked, careful to keep his tone light yet neutral.

“Of course I do, I seek the knowledge to keep my city and Middle-Earth safe.”, Celebrimbor answered, spinning himself around to face the maia.

“There is more that you desire, I am sure.”

Celebrimbor looked at Annatar in mild disbelief. “What do you mean, Annatar?”

“The desire to outshine your father and grandfather.”, Annatar said softly. “The desire to create beautiful works of art and of power.”

Celebrimbor looked at Annatar skeptically, “Why do you say that?”

“I see it in your eyes, Celebrimbor. I see the desires you have beneath your tranquil facade, that fierce Noldorin pride that drew me to you in the first place. You have always desired more than your station.”

“We have only known each other for a short time,” Celebrimbor maintained. In truth, Celebrimbor was not surprised at Annatar’s perceptive nature. He was of the Maiar, after all, and beings like them had a greater understanding of the nature of the world and of the Eruhíni. 1

“And in that time, we have shared much with each other, have we not?”, Annatar asked.

“Yes, indeed we have. There is much that you have taught me, Annatar, secrets that I thought had been lost in the War of Wrath or the sinking of Beleriand.”

“There are many other secrets I hold within me, Celebrimbor.”, Annatar said quietly, stepping closer to the elven lord.

“Like what?”, Celebrimbor asked.

“The secrets to grant all that you desire, to prevent these visions from coming to pass”, Annatar smiled broadly as he leaned down to whisper, “And become greater than your grandfather, Fëanor. To do what he could not.”

Celebrimbor’s eyes fluttered in disbelief as he tilted his head to the side.

“I-I don’t believe that could ever be achieved…”

“What if you could achieve it though, Celebrimbor? What if you could create something that outshone even the light of the Silmarils?”, Annatar said, his arms stretching wide. “What if you could create something that would help you end all suffering in Eregion, in Middle-Earth, even? Something that would ensure that Ost-in-Edhil is forever safe from these orcish armies?”

Celebrimbor glanced outside the window, where the Star of Eärendil held his course as he journeyed across the heavens to the Uttermost West.

What if I could?

A cold battlefield strewn with countless orc and eldar bodies stretched before him in his mind, the plains and forests filled with slowly rusting weapons as the sun and snow shone and fell upon their rotting flesh.

He saw the rivers of Beleriand choked with countless bodies, and entire cities, decadent masterworks of the Noldor and Sindar, brought to ruin as their once proud walls became overgrown and rotten.

He remembered the stories of his uncle’s deaths, great lords bound by an oath that drove them mad, and of how his uncle Maedhros had fallen into the earth, never to be found.

Do I want my legacy to be one of pain, as my grandfather’s was?

Annatar continued to stare down at Celebrimbor as he was lost in his mind. The very brief vision now opened a connection between their minds that allowed Annatar to experience all the grief and pain that Celebrimbor felt. Annatar held his pride at the carnage he had wrought as Gorthaur away, lest Celebrimbor catch onto Annatar’s true nature, and he hid his presence in Celebrimbor’s mind without his knowing.

Celebrimbor tore himself away from the past and tearfully stared back up at Annatar.

“I have something my grandfather did not, a second chance to make it all right. To ease the pain of the past and to prevent further suffering to the peoples of Middle-Earth.”

“Indeed you do, Celebrimbor.”

“I-I do not know where to start.”

“Then let me open your eyes to your true potential, so that you may start.”

“You have already shown me much in the short time you have been here.”, Celebrimbor smiled.

“Of course, but there is so much more knowledge I can teach you. Can you trust me to continue to guide you?”

“Yes, you have not led me astray thus far.”

Annatar smiled, bright as a sunny day, before stating, “You know, Celebrimbor, as an emissary of the Valar, I have abilities that the Eruhíni do not.”

“Such as?”, Celebrimbor inquired, eager to know more. He desired to know everything about the maiar, divine beings that they were, and how they worked. Celebrimbor was not an expert in biology, but he found the topic fascinating nonetheless.

Annatar gently guided him toward the bed and motioned for him to sit down on the edge of it.

“Open your mind for me, Celebrimbor. Fully open yourself to me.”, Annatar asked softly, still maintaining a kind smile on his face.

Celebrimbor felt a soft tickle at the edge of his consciousness that became more insistent as the seconds wore on.

“Annatar...I-I have not used osanwë since…”, Celebrimbor began, before his speech was cut off by Annatar gently pushing him down onto his back.

“Trust me...Celebrimbor.”, Annatar whispered in Celebrimbor’s mind. Celebrimbor grunted in pain at the brief intrusion before being shushed by Annatar.

Celebrimbor glanced up at Annatar’s right index finger as it slowly stretched into a writhing, slick tentacle around the size of Celebrimbor’s arm. He looked down in amazement. How could Annatar stretch and contort his body in such a fashion as this?

The tentacle slowly began to wrap itself around Celebrimbor’s right arm, and the coolness of the tentacle caused him to shudder. With the tentacle securely holding his arm, Annatar repeated his slow transformation on his left side, soon leaving Celebrimbor firmly held by a pair of tentacles emerging from Annatar’s fingers and hands.
More tentacles replaced his fingers and snaked across Celebrimbor’s body and legs, until he was securely bound with slick, wet tentacles that undulated across his body, gently massaging the tired elf’s body.

He leaned down and softly spoke into Celebrimbor’s mind once more, “I can transform my shape, my fana, into whatever I please.”

“Even yourself.”, he said as his visage contorted itself into a perfect replica of Celebrimbor’s. The real Celebrimbor gasped in amazement and slight fear at Annatar-Celebrimbor.

Slowly Annatar-Celebrimbor reached his mouth down to Celebrimbor’s and began to kiss him gently, prodding his tongue against his mouth for entrance.

“Let me in please, continue to trust in me as you have done so before”, Annatar-Celebrimbor sweetly asked in both Annatar’s and Celebrimbor’s voice before the real Celebrimbor obeyed and opened his mouth.

Annatar-Celebrimbor continued to kiss and make out with Celebrimbor, the tentacle in his mouth shifting between a normal elven tongue and a soft, velvety tentacle. His various tongues danced across and inside the elf’s mouth, causing Celebrimbor to shudder and moan in pleasure.

Celebrimbor felt his mind being gently prodded at by Annatar-Celebrimbor’s immensely powerful presence, like the sun rising over the mountains.

“Isn’t this wonderful, Celebrimbor, being loved so thoroughly by yourself?”, he asked through osanwë, before releasing himself from inside the elf’s mouth.

Celebrimbor could only groan in happiness and pleasure as Annatar-Celebrimbor traveled lower down the squirming elf’s body and left gentle, affectionate strokes from variously sized tentacles, leaving parts of Celebrimbor’s tanned skin affectionately pockmarked with tiny marks from suction cups.

“Imagine it Celebrimbor, imagine creating a beautiful world where there is no longer any suffering but instead, joy and peace”, Annatar-Celebrimbor said in both of their voices as various tentacles moved from gently stroking his body down toward Celebrimbor’s achingly erect member. A pair of tentacles wrapped around his shaft and began to slowly explore him. Annatar-Celebrimbor drank in Celebrimbor’s delighted squeals as the tentacles began to gently cradle and squeeze his achingly full balls while velvety soft tentacles wrapped around and stroked Celebrimbor’s hardness.

“I can help you achieve it all, Celebrimbor. You, who is the brightest Star of the Noldor in Arda, Lord of Ost-in-Edhil, who shall become High King of the Elves of all Middle-Earth, a bringer of peace.”, Annatar-Celebrimbor praised in Celebrimbor’s mind.

Celebrimbor’s head went limp as he became lost in the honeyed words pouring from Annatar-Celebrimbor’s mouth and the pure ecstasy he felt pulsing throughout his body. He felt himself adrift on a sea of euphoria as Annatar-Celebrimbor continued to praise him.

“Imagine surpassing your grandfather Fëanor, and your father, Curufin, as you ascend beyond their power and glory. Imagine it Celebrimbor, imagine a world where we rule side by side, a perfect and orderly world, as it was meant to be.”

Their bodies continued to join in intimacy, and as Celebrimbor began to approach the height of pleasure, Annatar-Celebrimbor pierced through his mind to grant Celebrimbor a vision of the pair of them standing in the highest towers of Ost-in-Edhil, Annatar shining as bright as the sun, and as a verdant paradise spread around them, stretching to the farthest corners of Eregion and beyond.

Celebrimbor released his seed as the vision granted to him peaked, showing Middle Earth as a vibrant and fertile land with great cities that pierced the skies of Arda, rivaling fabled Eldamar and Tírion in their resplendent, otherworldly beauty.

Tears welled up in his eyes at the brilliant white towers shining against the radiant sun, as the Eruhíni lived together in complete harmony, as the land itself was healed from all pain and suffering, and all evil exterminated.

Through it all, he felt an immense sense of trust building toward Annatar. He had already trusted the maia before, but now, now he would give him anything.

As Celebrimbor continued to ride out the wave of ecstasy, Annatar-Celebrimbor softly asked through osanwë, “Do you trust me to guide you, Celebrimbor Curufinwion?”

As Celebrimbor gasped as his seed was released across the silken sheets of his bed and on Annatar-Celebrimbor’s tentacles, he breathed out, “Yes, Annatar, yes I trust you. Show me the way.”

With a broad smile, Annatar-Celebrimbor proudly exclaimed, “Excellent, Celebrimbor! I knew that you would trust me. We shall start in the morning. Rest yourself, for there is much to be done.”

With a final nod, Celebrimbor contentedly laid his head back on the down pillows as Annatar crawled into bed next to him and the pair contently drifted off to sleep.
