Katie was tired so fucking tired. She was damn well over it—over everything and everyone, fuck The Polish cave, fuck The Regime, fuck The North and fuck her other business competitors.
This was a new low even for Katie really, she's never had much to begin with yet she still lost the most if that's even possible.
She was kicked off Schlatt's island, her KFC grand opening turned out very badly along with her therapist business both ended up getting blown up and nobody wanted to pay her to fill up any holes that they could fill themselves. Ewroon stopped being best friends with her and Mike suggested getting another business partner besides her because although he didn't say it directly she somehow just fucks up every business she does and of course she lashes out and that and it just solidifies his need for a new business partner.
No-one accepted her and truly knew her or loved her. Katie's last attempt was.. a failure but with no one caring anymore now what reason does she have to go on? Everyone hated her, no one took her seriously she was just some minor threat in others eyes nothing more nothing less. Schlatt's words echoed in her mind "a child that had to be hand fed", she'd show him she isn't a goddamn child.
She looked down from up on the Election Tower looking down below it was a very, very long fall. She was getting cold feet now, maybe she just shouldn't. No what is she thinking? She went all the way up here to not jump and now that she's up here she just won't do it?
Katie steeled herself before she stepped close to the edge placing her hand on a pillar nearby as support due to her fear of heights kicking in stronger, before she leaped forward bracing for impact. Before she could do so however someone grabbed her wrist and pulled her back before she could fall. Katie turned around to be greeted by Tomate her boyfriend which surprised her but she was also relieved he was here.
Katie said, "W-When did you get up here?"
Katie looked over to the camera in his hand looking around before back at him. Katie decided to just play it off like she was doing nothing. She didn't want to caught on camera crying and crashing out a third time, it was already embarrassing the first two times.
Katie continued, "I didn't see you there, so uh.. what's-what's up?"
No response as always.
Katie says, "Right figured, you don't talk or I don't know.."
Katie looks to the view, the sun was setting adorning the sky with orange hues, it was certainly a beautiful sunset.
Fuck it. Katie already felt like shit might as well just let out those emotions right? At least it would make her feel a bit lighter the next day once she gets everything off her chest.
Katie lets out a sigh before taking a seat at the edge of the Election Tower and looking towards him and asking, "Hey uh boyfriend could I just unload you know some of my problems on ya? If that's ok? Crouch if yes."
Tomate crouched. Katie's eyes lit up, he actually crouched?
Katie says baffled, "Really?"
Tomate crouched again one more time.
Katie responded while kicking her feet, "Well uh.. If you want you can like sit down with me or just stand and listen which ever you prefer honestly."
Tomate sat down next to her by the ledge.
"Well, so far everything's been.. real shitty for me I got no house, no business no friends nothing. I mean people still talk to me but it's just not the same.. Except you I guess, my boyfriend, though I don't think you really think that we really are dating or like that," Katie started to tear up.
Katie sniffled as tears flowed down her cheek her vision becoming blurry as they fell.
She lifted her hand to wipe the tears streaming down her eyes, "I know your kind of just here for recording and stuff but there isn't really much for you to.. sobs ..u-uh record up here, I-I'd suggest maybe the uh the north yeah the north they have all sorts of t-things going o-on."
Tomate stopped the recording putting the camera away and wrapped his arms around her. Katie's eyes widened Tomate never actually interacted too much with her like this, he patted her on the back to comfort her in her moment of vulnerability and sadness. Katie didn't think he'd actually care for her this much. It made her feel wanted, cared for even so her emotions just flowed and she sobbed for a while in his arms.

The sun was gone now it was extremely dark now barely any light up the Election Tower, the only light was the distant moon and the countless stars that twinkled in the sky far away from earth.
Katie said, "You know I didn't think you actually cared about me that much. Thanks for uh.. listening to me venting and all."
Tomate crouched one time. They both stared at each other is silence for a few seconds.
"Don't you uh.. have some recordings to get to?" Katie inquired.
Tomate then took out a book and quill and handed her the book and quill which Katie opened to read the contents.
"What do you think about joining The Federation?"
Katie looked over to Tomate with stars in her eyes, "Are you... inviting me to join The Federation..?!"
Tomate nodded before he placed a boat down and got in it and looked over to Katie beckoning her to get into the boat as well.
Katie asked as she got into the boat, "Are we going to teleport somewhere?"
Suddenly the two were transported. The first g Katie notices was the harsh bright light, it made Katie flinch as her eyes tried to get used to the light. They were in a small room, the room was a pure white room with smooth shiny marble floors and quartz walls, some bookshelves around near the walls, a desk and two chairs at—a camera in the corner of the room.
Katie said, "Woah.. Where are we?"
Tomate pointed at the chair gesturing to it. Katie took a seat getting the signal he was trying to convey to her.
Katie asked, "So uh what now..-?"
Out of nowhere Cucurucho appeared in the chair seated already, he said in a monotone, robotic voice, "Good evening."
Katie responded, "Good-Good evening to you too Cucurucho! So I'm going to become part of the Federation right?"
"Yes," Cucurucho stated.
A tense silence went over the room for a few seconds.
Cucurucho said, "I have some questions for you."
Katie responded, "Go ahead, hit me with it go."
Cucurucho asked while opening a book and quill and writing, "What is your name?"
"Um.. my name is Katie or sauceboss or just boss but most people just call me Katie," Katie answered.
"What is your age?" Cucurucho questions.
Katie says, "I'm uh 23 years old."
Cucurucho asks, "What was your occupation?"
Katie answers, "I have had several jobs in the past but currently I am unemployed. Hold on I think I have it listed here."
Katie took out her resume from her inventory and handed it to Cucurucho who took a look at it.

Cucurucho then pockets the resume and got up from his seat and handed Katie a book and quill. Katie opens the book to see the contents.
"Dear, Katie
You are officially invited to join The Federation as one of The Federation's fellow agents. You will be expected to go on various missions, to gather intel on the other players, to keep the players as happy as physically and mentally possible, to help enforce the rules and to prevent the players from leaving the island. You will be given "items" to help ensure that they stay on the island and you will be given your own uniform."
Katie looks up from the book, "Thank you so much! You won't regret this decision. I will enforce the rules on this island well."
Cucurucho says, "Yes. Please follow me."
Cucurucho exits the office expecting Katie to follow. Katie looks over to Tomate who was still in the office.
Katie told him, "I'll see you later ok, boyfriend?"
Tomate nodded. Katie then followed Cucurucho out the office where there was a very long white hallway, there were several rooms down the hallway, the only noise was their combined footsteps as they walked. Until they stopped in front of a specific door which Cucurucho unlocked with a keycard and entered alongside Katie the room was filled with password required chests. Cucurucho types in the password for one chest and opens it before turning to give it to Katie.
A white lab coat and a bracelet.
Katie asks, "Do I put this on?"
Cucurucho responds, "Yes."
Katie puts on the white lab coat on top of her pink suit and looks at herself. The lab coat went way below her waist and she put the bracelet on her right wrist.
Katie says, "whistle Looking good!"
Cucurucho states, "Yes. Please follow me."
Cucurucho unlocked the room door with a keycard again before walking down the hallway again and stopping in front of a door but not entering it. Cucurucho takes out a book and quill writing something before handing it to Katie.
"This is your new room."
Katie asked, "Oh my gosh I have a room?!"
Cucurucho says, "Yes."
Katie questioned, "Can I see it?"
Cucurucho answered, "Maybe."
Cucurucho turned and kept walking.
Katie stated, "So later then I guess??"
Cucurucho kept walking not answering her. They soon reach a certain door but it looked different it was black in color. Cucurucho took out a book and quill and wtote on it before handing it to Katie who opens it.
"Go inside there is a video you need to watch I will wait outside."
Katie says, "Alright. This isn't a trap right?"
Cucurucho responds, "No."
Katie answers, "Ok I'll trust you."
Katie then opens the door and enters the room.

Cucurucho watches as Katie enters the room and the door closes behind her. Cucurucho hears footsteps prompting him to turn around and there was Tomate coming down the hallway. Cucurucho takes out yet another book and quill and writes before handing it to Tomate.
"Why did you bring her here to join The Federation?"
Tomate took the book and quill and wrote before handing it back to Cucurucho.
"Because Katie would be a good addition to The Federation, many players underestimate her and don't take her seriously so she would be a good spy."
Cucurucho writes on the book and quill handing it back to Tomate looking him in the eye.
"Nobody told you to recruit her. You know what she is and what she's capable of, if she learns she's a ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ you don't know what she'll do."
Tomate wrote back before handing the book and quill back.
"I'll ensure that she doesn't do anything like that."
Cucurucho wrote then handed the book and quill back to Tomate.
"This is your final warning. Don't get too attached to Katie all you have to do is stick by her side as her 'boyfriend' and analyze her for anything different she may start to exhibit."
Tomate wrote before handing the book and quill back to Cucurucho.
"Yes sir understood."
Cucurucho wrote back then handed it to Tomate.
"You don't want to end up like the other one who was in your position do you?"
Tomate responded to his words on the book and quill and handed it to him.
"No sir."
Cucurucho wrote on he book and quill then handed it back again.
"Good now get back to work."
Tomate nodded before taking out flint and steel and setting the ground on fire before throwing the book and quill into it then putting the fire out, Tomate then teleported away.
