Chapter Text
A quiet night in the Crescent Hotel. They had finished filming about an hour ago, and their camera sat on the bedside table in Sam and Colby's hotel room, recharging. They were honestly really tired, the day of filming and the multiple scares that had them worrying for their friends, Kris and Celina; Kris, in particular, had multiple paranormal experiences throughout the night.
Though, they were grateful to be done for the day. Sam was looking over the footage and mentally noting the unimportant parts that they could cut out, deeply focused. Colby stretched, wearing some simple black pajama pants and no shirt, and then hopped onto the bed, making the whole thing jump. Sam rolled his eyes, unamused by his best friend's antics, watching as he shuffled around and got comfortable under the covers.
As Sam went back to focusing on the footage, he saw Colby trying to sneakily inch closer to him under the covers. Sam couldn't help the smile that creeped into his face, and he looked at the brunette.
"What are you doing, Colby?" Sam said, amusement evident in his tone of voice.
Colby had a wide smile on his face and he laughed quietly. God, his smile was contagious. "Nothinggg~" He insisted, shuffling a little closer to the blonde.
"Nothing? Are you sure?"
Colby just made himself snug against Sam's side, head laying right beside his hip. The blonde just sighed, closing the footage and putting the camera back on the bedside table. Colby, admittedly, was always a really touchy person— to which Sam became acclimated to overtime.
He let his fingers run through Colby's soft hair, to which he hummed in contentment and nuzzled against Sam. When the blonde sensed Colby was close to falling asleep, he turned off the light and layed down. He wrapped his arms around Colby's chest while the brunette wrapped his arms around Sam's waist.
As Sam's eyes shut, he couldn't help the feeling of heartwarming peace.
This was his best friend, that stayed with him through everything.
He couldn't ask for anything more.
