???’s Perspective
Location: ???
“Greetings, Young Portal Master!”
It was a sudden greeting. One that you had not expected, yet somehow, it did not scare you.
Even though it came from a see-through floating head of all things. And was also a see-through floating head that was clearly excited to greet you.
“I have been waiting for you. I am Eon. Your guide in this world. ‘But where are you?’, you may ask.” The head, introducing itself as Eon, said with a kind smile, before it then moved to the side.
And as a result, instead of floating in the air with the clouds and seeing nothing else but the blue sky and clouds, you now saw many floating islands. Some small and barely having a few rocks and trees, while others were larger and connected with each other to have large structures built upon them. Yet, that was not all, as you could also see several creatures, from basic sheep to even dragons flying in the air.
“This, is Skylands. An ancient world of Wonder and Mystery. For generations, the Portal Masters and the Skylanders kept Peace and Balance in this world, so that all creatures could thrive. Magic flows through everything here. Every rock, every tree and every beast.” Eon told you, with you noticing a dragon accidentally sitting on top of a sheep once it landed on an island, causing you to chuckle as the winged creatures momentarily struggled to get the sheep off its butt.
Yet, your attention was once more caught by Eon when he spoke.
“But now, our world is in great danger.” As Eon said these words, you saw that the dragon and sheep both noticed something that quickly scared both creatures as they looked up, and you were soon shown a sudden mass of dark clouds that felt like they held something belonging to your worst nightmares within them. “The Darkness is spreading. Skylands needs your help.”
It was at this point that what you were seeing faded away and Eon was now the focus of your attention once more.
“A great adventure awaits you, Young Portal Master.” Eon said with a small smile, before he then look more serious. “I have sent my assistant, Hugo, to seek you out.”
While it looked like Eon wanted to say more, your vision began to darken, something he noticed. And so, the floating head briefly appeared sad, before then looking at you once more and gave a patient smile as he gave some parting words.
“We will speak again.”
