pretty young thing

Summary:

Taehyung thinks an invitation to his ex's wedding is a pretty shitty thing to receive. Meeting a guy with a cheeky smirk and eyes full of stars may be the next best thing, though.

Work Text:

Lina is on the dancefloor, led by a gorgeous guy with awfully obvious hair transplant and Hollywood teeth. He probably works in finance and is a better dancefloor partner than Taehyung is. And he knows she doesn’t mind Taehyung’s sourness. She’s not really his pair, he’s not really her pair. They just wanted to share Uber here and went to the same college.

Usually, Taehyung would be a real joy on the dancefloor, enjoying whatever shitty EDM pop song was playing, bopping and jumping and inviting all the aunts to dance. He’s not his usual self as he watches Jihyo hug her newly-wed husband closer, resting her cheek on his chest. Taehyung watches the scene with a dose of poison going down to his stomach and he’s being unfair, he knows that very well. He didn’t expect this to be so hard to live through. It’s a surprise.

He wonders once again why Jihyo bothered with the invitation for him. He wonders once again if she wanted to prove something to him, look asshole, you haven’t ruined my life, you’d never have that kind of power. And why did he accept the invitation? Did he want to come here and see for himself that he hasn’t ruined his life?

He shakes his head, like he’s trying to get rid of the thoughts and downs the wine in his glass. It’s pear. His favourite wine. Jihyo knows that. He wrinkles his nose.

He got rid of his blazer a long time ago, popped the first two buttons of his white shirt, rolled his sleeves up to his elbows. He starts scanning the crowd for the pretty bridesmaids. A hook-up with one in one of those extravagant bathrooms doesn’t seem like a bad idea anymore. Maybe he should get on his knees, dirty his slacks and make a pretty stranger come around his mouth.

He cranes his neck to look over Jihyo’s best friend from college. He had a little crush on her before he got together with Jihyo, so maybe this could work. Then it occurs to him how shitty it would be to try to sleep with her best friend. He winces. Jihyo is right. He’s a major fucking asshole.

“Hey,” a voice says to his right. Soon enough, a man sits down on the chair previously occupied by someone who disappeared two hours ago and never came back. Maybe she was also Jihyo’s ex.

“Hi,” he says politely. “Do we know each other?” Taehyung asks. His voice is blunt and sharp. He’s almost certain he has never seen him before, even if the guy is, for sure, Korean. Something about him, his face and the energy he brings, almost feels like he has just got off a flight from Seoul. Jihyo’s husband never set foot in Korea despite bearing a Korean name and he looked the part. Identity is a tricky thing, Taehyung thinks.

The man laughs softly, perhaps surprised at Taehyung’s approach, and shakes his head gently. If Taehyung could describe him with one word it would be soft

“Not really. You’re just the only Korean guy who isn’t over fifty at this wedding and I thought I could, you know, come and say hi,” the guy says with a shrug. “Your table is pretty empty. I’m sorry. Do you speak Korean? Can we switch? My brain can’t get used to English.”

“Your English is great, though,” Taehyung mumbles in Korean, scrunching his brows. The guy has big, round eyes and a pretty pink mouth. The kind of pretty pink mouth Taehyung usually goes crazy for.

“I just got back from Seoul,” he explains. “I did military service. For the last two years, I spoke like three sentences in English. But I’m still fluent.”

“Service to keep the citizenship? Been there. Done that.” And the stranger grins at him almost like they’re sharing some kind of secret. The grin lights up his whole face and Taehyung has to say, he has a really pretty face.

“No way,” he exclaims, giddy. “Another sentimental fucker unable to let go of the motherland?”

“Never heard a better description of myself,” Taehyung replies, keeping his eyes steady on the stranger.

“So, are you from the bride’s side?” the stranger asks. “Or the groom’s?” A raised eyebrow.

Taehyung glances down at his empty wine glass, trying to remember how many he has had. Trying to understand why there’s only pear wine available. There’s a wine stain on the white cloth and Taehyung smirks seeing it.

“Bride’s. I don’t know Namjoon at all.”

The man laughs without much humor behind that laugh.

“I know Namjoon-hyung plenty.”

Taehyung quirks a brow at the bitter quality in the stranger's voice.

“Oh? How exactly do you know him?”

“I’ll tell you if you tell me how you know Jihyo,” he shoots back.

Taehyung raises his brows at the challenge presented for him but doesn’t protest. Thinks how to put it into words. Swallows the acidic taste of wine in his mouth.

“I dated Jihyo in college,” he says carefully. That’s the truth.

“Oh, that’s funny,” the man says, laughing openly. Taehyung suspects he has just heard his real laugh. “That’s hilarious. I dated Namjoon-hyung in college.”

Taehyung makes a face, which causes another wave of laughter. “I didn’t realize Namjoon swung that way.” The man laughs again. Louder.

“Oh, yeah. He does. Or did at least. I don’t know what his take on it is anymore. He used to have a lot of philosophical thoughts about relationships and sexuality and all that.” The man shakes his head, the laughter dying on his tongue. “It’s funny. They’re kind of assholes for inviting their exes to the wedding, aren’t they?”

Taehyung nods absentmindedly. “If you ask Jihyo, I’m always going to be an asshole in her story.”

“Oh? What did you do?” the man asks cheekily. “I’m sorry, but what’s your name? I can’t keep referring to you as the man in my head.”

“Taehyung. I go by Tae around Americans, though.”

“Jeongguk. I just listen to them butchering my name. Although Taehyung is definitely a tougher cookie, huh?”

“Sometimes I don’t even bother and tell them to call me Taeyang. They often land on Taeyong anyway. So, Tae it is. They still land on Tey. Like I’m Beyonce.”

This makes Jeongguk burst into loud giggles, throwing his head back, eyes crinkling. Taehyung smiles at the sight of him. The light beaming from within of him. And for a second, Taehyung wonders for a second how Namjoon could ever let go of Jeongguk and marry someone else. It’s a silly thought.

“So what did you do to Jihyo?” Jeongguk asks again and Taehyung holds his breath, because that’s definitely too much to share, too honest and raw for a stranger to hear. Or maybe that’s exactly what he should do, pour himself out to a stranger he won’t see again.

He glances at the dancefloor where Jihyo is talking Namjoon’s ear off, tangled up in his arms.

He looks back at Jeongguk and remembers that Jeongguk is attracted to men. That he was very specifically in love with Namjoon at some point. Or not. Maybe they were never in love. Maybe Jeongguk isn’t the type to fall in love with people.

Somehow Jeongguk doesn’t look like a guy who doesn’t fall in love.

Taehyung is wondering a lot today. He wonders what made Jeongguk come over here. Apart from the shared Korean identity.

“Something bad. She is right. I was an asshole to her.”

“Everyone is an asshole to someone.”

“I’ll tell you if you have a drink with me,” Taehyung says. He doesn’t struggle much with his confidence when it comes to talking to others, picking them up. He struggles even less when that person has a pretty pink mouth.

The music changes and slows down. The people on the dancefloor pair up. The fairy lights twinkle around and above them. Taehyung’s chair scratches as he tries to get closer to Jeongguk, turning his whole body to him, shifting his attention.

Jeongguk’s mouth tweaks into a tiny smile. His brows rise. “Okay. Are you going to bring me a drink?”

“Whatever you want.”

“Surprise me.”

Jeongguk goes along with the shift between them. Taehyung grins. Maybe Jeongguk is a better thing than a bridesmaid. Prettier, too, if Taehyung is being honest.

“A beer?” Jeongguk cocks his brow when Taehyung gets back. Clearly surprised.

“With peach syrup. Eastern Europeans drink it like that. With syrup.” Taehyung winks at him and settles down on the chair. “You seem like a guy who likes it a bit sweet.”

Jeongguk’s face scrunches up sweetly, probably thinking whether Taehyung means the innuendo or not.

“I also really like beer, so bingo,” Jeongguk says and slurps first sip. “Indeed, sweet. Do you like it sweet?”

“Depends.”

“On?”

“Whatever the other person likes,” Taehyung dares to say.

“So a pleaser, huh?” Jeongguk leans his elbow on the table, resting the side of his face on his palm, looking at Taehyung sweetly. The side of his cheek is squished. It’s cute.

“You don’t even know.”

“Maybe I could find out,” Jeongguk teases with a smirk and Taehyung is dizzy. Dizzy because of this spark flickering between them and it’s really been a long time since the spark appeared. It's been a long time since Taehyung got someone in his bed or traveled to someone else's bed.

They lean forward, eyes sparkly and eager, both of them probably a bit drunk as well.

“Taehyung-ah.”

A voice interrupts them. “Hi,” Jihyo smiles at both of them as her eyes travel the distance between Taehyung and Jeongguk.

“Hi, Jihyo,” he says, straightening up. Her hair is cropped into a bob she never wore with him, pin straight and black. The dress is retro and short, making her the prettiest bride in New York City today. Taehyung still remembers the way her feet would travel up his slacks, teasing and grinning and pressing on his cock. He still remembers she always said her wedding dress is going to be inappropriately short once she marries Taehyung. “You look beautiful.”

“So you have said.”

Namjoon appears on her shoulder, tall and handsome, hair buzzed and suit black and traditional. American tradition.

“Hi, Jeongguk.”

“Hyung,” Jeongguk mutters, clearly displeased to see his ex. He hangs his head low.

“Taehyung, can we dance?” Jihyo asks. He makes a confused noise in the back of his throat.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Taehyung tongues his cheek, suddenly so irritated with her.

“C’mon, for old times sake. I’m not mad anymore.”

“You shouldn’t really say no to the bride,” Jeongguk mumbles and takes another sip of his beer. Taehyung wonders how it would taste on his tongue.

“Don’t disappear,” he bends his waist to whisper in Jeongguk’s ear before he follows Jihyo on the dancefloor. “Please.” Jeongguk holds his gaze for a weighted second.

The hold he has around her is mechanical and cold. She peers at him. “You always do that. Charm a pretty thing next to you.” He almost rolls his eyes.

“It was all Jeongguk charming me.”

“Mhm. I bet.” The Taylor Swift song he has heard before but doesn’t know the name of begins. “Anyway. I just wanted to tell you that somewhere along the line I’ve accepted your apology. And I realized you should probably know that. I know I’ve said or screamed that I’d never forgive you, but that’s not the truth anymore, Tae.”

He holds the air in his lungs for a long time as the words settle.

“I’m sorry. I still am.”

“I know. But it’s okay. Let it go, you know. You don’t have to look at me and feel sorry anymore. I don’t want that. Look at me and be happy for me. Or, I don’t know, go back to that table and take Jeongguk to your shitty apartment.”

He snorts. Above her head, he’s been watching the conversation Namjoon and Jeongguk are having at the table. The stiffness in Jeongguk’s body as he says something, the way he’s scratching the side of his head, avoids Namjoon’s eyes.

“How’d you know I’d want to take Jeongguk back to my shitty apartment?”

“I know what you look like when you find someone really pretty.”

He doesn’t say anything to that.

“We were really young.”

“We still are,” Taehyung mumbles. “Technically, you married young.”

“But I’m not twenty-one anymore. Crying over my college boyfriend.”

“I’m glad you’re not,” Taehyung mumbles, swaying softly, still watching Jeongguk.

“And you’re not the twenty-three year old asshole who broke my heart.”

“I’d like to think I’m not.”

Jihyo cranes her neck back to look at him. “So, stop looking at me with those sad eyes and go do something obscene with that boy that made you smirk your classic Kim Taehyung smirk. I saw it. Before we approached you. The same you made at me across the bar with a Love Story blasting in the speakers.”

“You remember.”

He doesn’t know why he says it. He knows she remembers. He will always remember it as well.

“C’mon, Tae. You were my first love. I’ll always remember. But that’s in the past now. So, go.”

x

“Can I dance with you?”

Jeongguk looks up. His beer glass is empty now. Namjoon is gone. His face is sour.

He stares at him for a long time and Taehyung starts feeling silly for assuming too much from their interaction, but then Jeongguk nods and they stand together on the slippery floor. Jeongguk curls his hands around Taehyung’s waist and Taehyung settles his palms on Jeongguk shoulders.

He’s delighted to notice he may be just a tiny bit taller than Jeongguk.

“That conversation with Namjoon looked tense,” he starts. Across Jeongguk’s shoulders Lina is swirling in the arms of Jihyo’s cousin. She was the one who introduced him to beer with syrup.

“I just wasn’t very interested in what he had to say,” Jeongguk says with a shrug, avoiding Taehyung’s eyes.

“Why?”

“It took me a whole year to get over our break-up and he was already engaged by that time.” Jeongguk doesn’t hide his bitterness. The snarl on his lip. Taehyung likes his honesty. Once again thinks about how that honesty might taste on his tongue.

“So, what happened?”

Jeongguk holds his gaze. “So, what happened between you and Jihyo?”

Taehyung stays silent. There’s a hint of jasmine in Jeongguk’s scent. Taehyung loves jasmine tea. Reminds him of his grandmother back in Korea.

“What do you miss about Korea when you’re here?” Taehyung dodges the question. Offers a question of his own instead. Jeongguk doesn’t waver as he thinks it over.

He hums. “That’s a good question”

“I’m full of good questions.”

“I served in Busan. That’s where my family is from. I think nothing compares to samgyupsal at home. I haven’t even realized the shit we have in New York is this bad.”

Taehyung finds it so easy to laugh around Jeongguk, so he allows himself another hearty laugh. He imagines how well the meat tasted in his mouth when it’s prepared in the motherland.

“I liked that everyone said my name correctly. I liked that there wasn’t this sense of standing out. I liked being just a small puzzle of a bigger piece,” Jeongguk continues. “I felt so free sometimes. Even if they still looked at me like I'm a foreigner sometimes.”

Apart from a pretty mouth and round eyes, Jeongguk also has silky hair, falling softly over his eyes, shining, thick and healthy. Taehyung wonders how he felt on his discharge day.

“What did you miss about New York? Back there?”

Jeongguk gives him a short, humorless laugh. “Maybe I felt more Korean when I was there and the sense of belonging was nice in that regard, but…but I also had to hide another big part of me. So I missed being out.”

Taehyung aches as the words fall from his pretty, pink mouth. The fear of his homosexuality being revealed was so deeply seated in his bones during his time in the military, sometimes it was all he could think about on that thin mattress.

“I’m sorry.”

“Not your fault.”

“No. But I know what it feels like. So I’m sorry.”

Jeongguk takes his time to study Taehyung’s face, his eyes following his nose, forehead, lips, ears even. “So you swing that way?”

“Wasn’t that obvious?” Taehyung asks with a snort. He wasn’t quite shy with his flirting back at the table. He wasn’t shy about the way he was looking at Jeongguk’s pretty pink mouth and aching to put his mouth there like a greedy little monster.

“Just making sure. Don’t wanna make a fool of myself. Plus, you’re the ex of the bride.”

“I’m a greedy little guy.”

“Sooo? I heard those bathrooms are enormous.”

Jeongguk cocks his brow, but there’s also something shy about the way his lashes flutter and eyes sparkle at Taehyung. A flicker of vulnerability underneath it all. Just a guy really annoyed with his ex-boyfriend inviting him to a wedding.

Taehyung smiles.

x

Jeongguk locks the door and they turn around the enormous space.

Their eyes lock. They burst out laughing.

“How rich is Namjoon exactly?” Taehyung says as he eyes the huge basket on the marble shelf.

Jeongguk’s laugh turns into a snort. “His parents teach at Columbia. I wasn’t aware that they could afford this kind of wedding, though.”

“Jihyo’s father has a business back at home. He also spoils her ever since her parents divorced in middle school.”

“Checks out.”

Jeongguk seems to be careful with his moves as he leans with his ass against the marble sink, resting his hands on each side. He eyes Taehyung from head to toe. He looks like he’s trying to figure him out. Perhaps his intention behind taking Jeongguk to this luxury bathroom while the wedding reception is still unfolding.

“I wouldn’t guess that you’d be Jihyo’s type,” Jeongguk says finally. Frowning a bit.

Taehyung lets out a surprised, unattractive sound from the back of his throat. “Why is that?”

“Just. The vibe. It’s clashing. And I’ve stalked her instagram quite thoroughly, so I know what I’m talking about.”

The admission of such a silly, nasty thing doesn’t sound shameful on Jeongguk’s tongue. He embraces it.

“Believe it or not, I was her first love.”

Jeongguk’s whole face lifts at the word love. It sounds ridiculous in his mouth, Taehyung can admit. Juvenile, as well.

“She’s just quite bossy. And Namjoon-hyung fits that whole vibe. He needs that. If I’m being honest. You don’t seem like the type,” Jeongguk comments.

“You may not know me that well.”

Jeongguk snorts. “I don’t know you at all.” He moves his hips swiftly and sits on the marble, his feet dangling. “So I guess you enjoy a bit of bossing around?”

“Or maybe that’s why we didn’t work out?”

Jeongguk cocks his head to the side. “On a second thought, maybe you do look like you like being bossed around.”

Taehyung does. Especially in bed. Especially by pretty girls and boys.

“Yeah. I see it now,” Jeongguk repeats, nodding his head a few times. “I get your type. Fucks good but wants me to tell him he’s doing a good job. Isn’t that right?”

Taehyung chuckles softly, hanging his head low as he brings a single finger and scratches between his eyes. “So, you’d like me to fuck you?” Taehyung knows he exaggerates his own cockiness just to see Jeongguk’s reaction.

Jeongguk just raises his brows, but his whole face changes with it. His feet dangle.

“Presumptuous.”

“I’m paying attention.”

Jeongguk tongues his cheek and Taehyung sees the ghost of a smile on his lips. He takes out his phone from the pocket of his slacks, checks something and puts it on the marble top.

“Are you going to kiss me or do you want me to beg for it?”

Taehyung opens his mouth but stays silent. His whole body shivers in excitement at Jeongguk’s boldness and openness. Taehyung always finds himself around people like this—very aware of their effect on others. He likes that Jeongguk was the one who approached him.

He’s very aware of his each move as he takes the few steps that separate him and Jeongguk. He puts his hands on each side of Jeongguk’s thighs and gets in his space without asking. Jeongguk cranes his neck away from Taehyung’s face but his smile stays permanent. Up close like this Taehyung gets a better sniff of the jasmine scent, sees the cracks on his dry lips and a small hole on the side of Jeongguk’s bottom lip. A mark after an old piercing, perhaps. His breath is hot. Taehyung feels it after Jeongguk parts his lips slightly like he’s already waiting for that kiss.

Taehyung is careful. He raises his hand and grabs Jeongguk’s cheek; his long fingers touch the black hairs on his neck and his thumb swipes around the apple of his cheek. Jeongguk’s wild eyes don’t look away from Taehyung even for a second.

He wants it to be a perfect first kiss so he leans forward and their lips catch on each other softly. He hears the sharp inhale and dives in further, squishing their mouth together. Jeongguk moves with him. And it’s perfect. Taehyung can’t remember the last time a kiss felt like this, especially the first one. Once their mouths find the similar rhythm, Taehyung can feel his own toes curl in his boots. Jeongguk places his hands on Taehyung's shoulders and tugs him forward, sighing softly into the kiss, a simple sign of his pleasure.

“I’ll make you beg for it some other time,” Taehyung whispers into his mouth once they part and Jeongguk laughs loudly into his ear as his body curls around Taehyung.

“Can’t believe I’m making out with someone at my ex’s wedding. An ex of a bride, as well. It’s a romantic comedy cliche.”

“I love romcoms,” Taehyung says and clears his throat, his hand still on Jeongguk’s face. His thumb still swipes his soft skin.

“Of course you would.”

“Is it a bad thing?”

“No. Not really.”

Jeongguk is fast with his next move. He jumps from the marble sink, his feet landing with a thud as he grabs Taehyung by his face and walks them in fast, sharp steps to the wall, pushing Taehyung’s body against it. His face comes closer and their mouths touch—a contrast between his soft lips and rough hands. It goes straight to Taehyung’s head. His dick.

“Fuck,” he mouths into Jeongguk parted lips.

Jeongguk grins and looks up at him with the most innocent eyes Taehyung has ever seen and it’s such a lie because he knows in his bones that Jeongguk is everything but innocent. “Can you come twice today? Or are you another gay guy with erectile problems?”

Taehyung chuckles, turning his head to the side as the laugh pours out of him. “No problem there. Why?”

“I have an idea.”

Jeongguk kisses him once, a fast and shallow thing as his lips start leaving open-mouthed kisses on Taehyung’s neck. His head hits the wall behind him with a painful thump. He can’t remember the last time desire felt so easy. He can’t remember the last time his hands couldn’t wait to have it all. Trace the skin. Be inside.

“I really like men in suits, you know? Where did you get those slacks because you look fucking criminal in them,” Jeongguk mumbles and Taehyung doesn’t remember when they switched back to English, but his voice sounds deeper like this.

“You’d have to ask my mother,” Taehyung replies. His hands find the curve of Jeongguk’s waist and he can’t imagine ever letting go, because Jeongguk is lithe there. It’s almost like grabbing a girl’s waist and the realization goes straight to Taehyung’s head again.

“Are you a mama’s boy?”

“Always.”

Jeongguk giggles. “It’s not that bad of a thing. Me too.”

“So that idea you had?” Taehyung asks, too excited and eager to find out what Jeongguk wants from him exactly.

Jeongguk just smirks as he smoothes his hands over Taehyung’s chest.

His own hands found their place on Jeongguk’s hips. He squeezes around the bones there and digs his fingers onto the material of Jeongguk’s slacks.

Then Jeongguk’s hands go lower and with a precise motion he undoes Taehyung’s belt. His eyes never leave Taehyung’s. The gesture sends Taehyung’s brain onto another planet and his fingers clench around Jeongguk. He needs him closer. He needs to be pushed flush against him. He needs the mouth and tongue and everything.

Jeongguk is anything but shy and it makes sense he approached Taehyung first after all. He was all smiles and sparkly eyes when Taehyung started flirting.

His chest squeezes when Jeongguk pops the button and shoves his hand into his underwear, not even hiding the devilish grin or the cheek bite.

He puts his hand on Taehyung’s dick and oh. Yeah. Sure.

“That’s going to work for sure,” Jeongguk says and gives him an awkward tug. It’s the most adorable thing Taehyung has seen—the way he can’t hide his smile and satisfaction as strokes Taehyung’s cock into a semi-boner.

“I will go on my knees in front of you. And you will fuck my face against that door. How does that sound?”

“Are you fucking real?” Taehyung groans. His head hits the wall and it hurts this time. Too fast and too violent, but the image of Jeongguk on his knees may be shifting his worldview a bit. He may be trying to understand how he lived his whole life without it. The bitterness of the day is forgotten. Damn Jihyo and fuck Namjoon’s parents who financed this wedding.

The next kiss is open and wet and fucking dirty. Taehyung feels Jeongguk’s wet tongue everywhere. On his chin and corner of his mouth and deep in his mouth, where Jeongguk may leave his mark forever.

Jeongguk is a greedy kisser. He may have been passive with their first kiss but now he’s taking over Taehyung’s whole body. He swirls his tongue around like he wants to lick away all the wine from Taehyung’s mouth.

He starts to doubt if he will manage to stay upright when Jeongguk gets on his knees.

“I like kissing you,” Jeongguk slurs into his mouth, their bottom lips squished, Jeongguk’s big eyes looking up at him. “You’re a good kisser.”

Taehyung thinks briefly back to his last boyfriend and how he didn’t like kissing like this. He always kept their kisses timid and close-lipped, no spit on the chin. No salvia strings between them.

With his hand still holding Taehyung’s dick and his tongue swiping the corner of his mouth, Jeongguk is definitely different.

“So. You will come two times, right? If I take you back to my house, you will fuck me, right?”

“Where do you live?”

“Carroll Gardens.”

“It will take us forever to get there. I can definitely get it up again by now. Also, are you secretly a trust-fund baby?”

Jeongguk laughs easily, shrugging. “It used to be my uncle’s apartment. It has fixed rent.”

“Lucky bastard.”

Taehyung dives for another kiss but Jeongguk leans away from him, a playful smile still dancing around his lips. He turns them around, so it’s Jeongguk leaning against the door now. Still smiling, he sinks on his knee, looking up at Taehyung with his big, dark eyes.

“Where do you live?”

“Greenpoint.”

Jeongguk arches his brow. “Greenpoint? Are you half-Polish or something?” he snickers.

“No,” Taehyung laughs. “My sister is engaged to a Polish guy, though. Also not many Poles live there anymore.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah. He helped me get the place. I grew very fond of the Polish chips. You should try them out. Great flavours. Anyways. Are we going to talk about my connections to Eastern Europe? Cause there are quite a few. Or are you going to—oh!”

Jeongguk leans forward and mouths at the outline of his cock with a wicked smirk, his eyes crinkling like he finds Taehyung so amusing. Taehyung’s head swirls. The warm heat of his tongue, dampening the material with his saliva, biting playfully Taehyung’s clothed cock.

Fuck.”

Jeongguk laughs at him. Not innocently. There’s something mean in the stretch of his lips as he shoves Taehyung’s slacks down. They pool around his ankles and he almost wants to laugh at himself. Desperate and needy with a pretty boy on his knees for him. Classic Taehyung.

His boxers go down next.

“Not disappointing so far,” Jeongguk says as his pretty hand wraps around his cock, twisting his wrist a bit as he gives him a tug, not hiding that goddamn smirk. Like he knows he is about to rock Taehyung’s world and he will.

Jeongguk takes him into the warm heat of his mouth and sucks. Meanly. Taehyung starts to understand Jeongguk likes to be a bit mean about it, nothing gentle and accidental about the way he takes half of him into his mouth and sucks eagerly.

Taehyung’s knees shake. His thighs quiver and he puts his forearm against the dark red door and leans his forehead against it, forcing more cock into Jeongguk’s mouth but he isn’t complaining. Far from it. He flashes him a quick glare. The corner of his eyes are wet with tears.

“Your mouth. Fuck. Jeongguk. So good. You’re so hot. You look so hot like this. Such good mouth, baby.”

It slips out. The name. Jeongguk pulls away, still holding his cock by the base. “Baby?”

“You don’t like it?”

“Nah. Call me baby all you want, hyung.”

“Hyung?”

Jeongguk doesn’t answer. He holds his cock upwards and lowers himself to lick at Taehyung’s balls. Long swipes of his pink tongue. The sight of it makes Taehyung squeeze his eyes. His head flashes him images of fucking Jeongguk in so many different ways, so many possibilities that extended above and beyond this night. He always thinks with his dick.

“You should feel honoured,” Jeongguk says as his tongue licks around Taehyung’s cockhead.

“Why is that?”

“You’re the first cock I have sucked since enlisting.”

It’s said with humor. Just trying to tease Taehyung. But the knowledge shoots him straight through his lungs. He takes a deep breath.

His other hand goes down and grabs a fistfull of Jeongguk’s hair, the silky strands at the nape. “You must have been hungry for it, huh?” he mumbles, observing the way Jeongguk’s eyes darken. He goes along with it, though. Because he may be the same type of dirty and nasty that Taehyung is.

“Fuck my mouth now,” he says. “No need to be gentle. I like to be roughed up.”

“You’re so ridiculous,” Taehyung says through a laugh but his hand grabs Jeongguk by the side of his head, his thumb swiping the soft skin on his jaw. His skin is free of hair but there’s some acne scars under his fingers. “You want your pretty mouth fucked, huh? Because your mouth is really pretty, Jeongguk. Such pink lips.”

Jeongguk nods his head obediently and his pink tongue licks across his fat bottom lip. Taehyung can’t wrap his head around what being inside of Jeongguk will feel like.

Then Jeongguk digs his tongue into the slit of his cockhead and Taehyung can’t take it anymore. He shoves his hips forward, forcing his cock into Jeongguk’s waiting mouth. He swears it looks like Jeongguk is smirking around his cock before he flattens his tongue and just takes it. Mouth wide open and eyes opened even wider, looking up at Taehyung the whole time despite the cock shoving into the back of his throat repeatedly. The gurgling noises make the heat in his cock more urgent. His hips snap harder. Again and again, forcing his cock inside his willing mouth. “Fuck, baby. Look at you. You’re making a mess.”

Jeongguk knits his brows together, showing Taehyung what he thinks of that. There’s salvia on his cheeks and chin, dripping lower on his neck. And god, they have to go home immediately after. Jeongguk can’t go back to the wedding looking like this.

Taehyung feels crazy, possessed even, trying to suppress the moans, but failing, letting Jeongguk know how he feels. What Jeongguk makes him feel. He can’t remember the last time sex felt like this. This urgent burning deep inside of his organs. Maybe it was with Jihyo, the last time, but he can barely remember.

Jeongguk’s head hits the door and the position is so cagey, trapping Jeongguk between Taehyung and the door, making him feel so small when he’s on his knees like that. The dirty image, pornish even.

“Jeongguk, I’m going to come. Fuck, I’m so close. So close.” Jeongguk shoves him away with his hands on Taehyung’s thighs.

His chest sinks and expands as he tries to catch his breath, his whole face ruined with salvia, tears and pre-cum. He looks beautiful. The most beautiful person in the whole wedding venue today. The most beautiful in the whole big apple.

Oh, Taehyung is thinking with more than his dick. He doesn’t know him, knows nothing about him really. But he already knows he won’t want to let go in the morning. When he wakes up next to him he won’t be sneaking out. He will be praying Jeongguk doesn’t ask him to leave.

“Come on my face.”

“You can’t be real,” Taehyung mutters. Jeongguk just grins and leans forward to suck gently on his head.

“Hurry up, big guy.”

Jeongguk opens his mouth wide and his tongue hangs out, all open and ready. The sweet taste of satisfaction feels delicious on Taehyung’s tongue. The satisfaction that only comes with seeing another man submitting to him like this. The desire is raw and violent almost as he jerks himself off fast, his cock directed at Jeongguk’s waiting mouth.

He loses his mind a little, his connection to reality when he comes.

When his eyes focus again, Jeongguk is swiping the come from his cheek with his finger and licks it off, humming softly.

“Nasty,” Taehyung laughs. Jeongguk sends him a glare.

“Like I didn’t just shake your world upside down.”

“You did,” Taehyung says, the truth dropping from his lips like it’s the easiest thing to do.

“Aren’t you too old to be like this? Saying things like this?”

“Don’t know. Couldn’t care. Come here.”

Taehyung’s hands grab onto Jeongguk hurriedly, shoving him up and kisses his mouth like a starved man. Jeongguk laughs into the kiss, such a free and unbound sound as his hands clasp around Taehyung’s face. Their tongues push against each other and Taehyung can’t stand the distance between them, holding Jeongguk even closer, clasping his hands harder into his sides.

Fuck, I want to make you feel so good. Let me feel so good. Fuck, Jeongguk.”

Jeongguk laughs again, throwing his head back. “You’re like stupid on cock and you haven't even seen my dick yet.”

“I bet it’s really pretty.”

“It is.”

They share another kiss as the tension dissolves, the energy changes into something less heated and more mellow. The air is almost syrupy around them.

“So, can you pass me my phone so I can get us an Uber?” Jeongguk says, kisses the corner of Taehyung’s mouth and grins at him cheekily.

Taehyung pecks him back.

x

In the back of the cab, Jeongguk grabs his hand and interlocks their fingers together, flashing Taehyung a quick smile before he turns toward the window. His face was washed in the sink. Taehyung tapped his face dry with a soft towel from the pyramid on the marble table.

The driver pays them no attention. The song changes and Taehyung smiles under his nose when he recognizes the tune. The song that played in the kitchen every Sunday when his father would prepare them their American breakfast. The only day in the week when they would eat sugary, sweet pancakes instead of sticky rice and eggs.

Jeongguk sees his smile. “Why are you smiling like that?”

“It’s my mom’s favourite song.”

Jeongguk’s face softens. “Oh?”

“Yeah. She says it played on the cab from the airport when my father and her first flew here from Korea.”

“That’s sweet,” Jeongguk comments, squeezing his fingers.

Taehyung looks at him, at the city’s lights reflecting on his face. “She says she looked over at my father and despite it all she knew they could do it. In this big fucking city, all alone. With an annoying kid who cried after his grandmother.”

Jeongguk’s face looks like the sweetest thing Taehyung has ever tasted, like he understands Taehyung’s inclination to make things way too romantic way too fast.

“What else?” he asks like he knows Taehyung wants to say more.

“My father would play this song every Sunday as he prepared breakfast to make her happy. To remind her they didn’t make a mistake.”

“They sound so romantic,” Jeongguk says and his face looks dreamy.

Taehyung doesn’t tell him his mother left one day and came back to Korea. He doesn’t tell him they never got divorced but his father scoffed at the idea of going back, resenting his motherland and resenting his wife for missing it. Now they live apart, his father still working for the same bank he has worked for the last twenty years.

“They had their moments,” is all Taehyung says.

Jeongguk bites the corner of his mouth, Taehyung traces the movement. “What’s your favourite song?”

Taehyung groans, hitting his against the worn-out leather. “Like I’d ever know how to choose that.”

“C’mon. One of. I won’t hold it against you if the answer changes in the future.”

Jeongguk doesn’t look embarrassed to say those words, to admit that he doesn’t want to forget about Taehyung after this day ends. Or night.

“Rock with You,” he says after some silence.

“Basic.”

“It’s an excellent song.”

“It is,” Jeongguk agrees. “But it’s still basic.”

“C’mon. It’s not even the most obvious MJ song answer. Would you rather hear my favourite song?” Taehyung arches his brow.

“Well now you have me interested. I love Ariana.”

Taehyung’s smile spreads, because, of course, Jeongguk likes Ariana. He bets Jeongguk listens to kpop, perhaps sways his hips to his favourite songs as he prepares himself dinner.

“Well, it’s,” Taehyung laughs at himself, scratching his brow. “It’s positions, by the way.”

“So, you do like some pop, huh.” Jeongguk squishes his nose, his front teeth showing along with it.

“Who doesn’t?”

“Plenty of pretentious pricks,” Jeongguk says, shrugs and casts a look at the streets they’re passing by. Taehyung swears he can see that Jeongguk thinks back to all those pretentious pricks in that moment.

“I’m only a bit pretentious. Ask Jihyo. She always thought I’m pretentious as fuck,” he says with only certain amount of bite.

“I’d rather ask you,” Jeongguk says simply.

“Actually, it was so funny. She’d get mad if we visited a museum and I would tell her something about the artist's life or backstory of the piece. She’d scrunch her nose at me and roll her eyes and tell me to stop showing off,” he scoffs, recalling all the times he bit his tongue instead and wandered through galleries in silence. “She said I tried to make her feel stupid and I don’t know. Maybe I was a jerk, because I just wanted to share. Wow. That was way too much, way too fast, huh?” he asks, turning his head to look at Jeongguk. It’s hard to imagine he has only known him for a couple of hours because it feels like he has known him his whole life. Like everything led him to this exact moment, throwing random facts about himself at starry-eyed Jeongguk.

“I don’t care. I started dating Namjoon after one drunken kiss at a frat party.”

“Tell me abou–”

“Your stop,” the driver murmurs. They look around the car dumbfounded and as it turns out the car has stopped and parked close by to the subway station. Jeongguk thanks the man and leaves the car first. Taehyung follows.

“C’mon. Now we just have like an hour to kill on the train.”

Taehyung turns to look at him, the small smile playing on his lips as he gestures toward the station. He sees the movement but he’s too busy thinking how gorgeous Jeongguk looks under the bright lights of the streetlamp. His skin is shiny, a bit dewy even, some type of glow. His hair is tousled from the gripping Taehyung gave it in the bathroom. The first few buttons of his white shirt popped and  his blazer over his shoulder. Taehyung scrunches his brows. He knows it’s vain. He doesn’t know Jeongguk, he’s just attracted to him, but god, he wants him. Stupidly

“Something tells me one train won’t be enough, huh?”

Jeongguk grins. “Of course not. Nothing is ever straightforward in this dump. Never attending a wedding in motherfucking Garden City ever again. Namjoon can go fuck himself.”

And Jeongguk is sweet and willing from what he gathered, but he’s also blunt and bitey.

Taehyung takes a deep breath. “Let’s go. Or I’m taking you to mine.”

Jeongguk shakes his head. “I always fuck at mine.” He winks at him and descends down the pissscented steps.

x

The train is empty enough for them to sit next to each other and not have anyone breathing down their necks.

“So, how’d you rate my dick after being deprived for so long?”

Jeongguk snorts, loud and unashamed, shaking his head at Taehyung like he finds him ridiculous to describe. Taehyung has always been a little ridiculous. Heard it in every relationship or connections close enough to a relationship.

“You have to fuck me first to get the grade.”

“Ah,” Taehyung prolongs the sound, tonguing his teeth. He should wash his teeth before he gets to kiss Jeongguk again. “How do you know I’m not like? I don’t know. The ultimate bottom?”

Jeongguk laughs again, crinkling his big eyes at Taehyung. “Are you?”

“Nah. I don't really like it, if I’m being honest.”

“Oh?” Jeongguk curls an eyebrow at him.

Taehyung shrugs, a bit embarrassed now. But the alcohol is still in his veins and his mouth is more willing to say silly truths. “Maybe I had bad experiences or something, but I prefer not to.”

Jeongguk nods, not meeting his eyes. “So, my plan is still in order.”

“It is,” he replies with a short laugh, resembling more of a huff of air escaping his mouth.

“It’s funny, isn’t it? How we treat those things sometimes. Fucking or being fucked. Those roles we assign to each other. I had a few guys get genuinely mad at me when I said I didn’t want to fuck them,” Jeongguk says, staring at the poster in front of them. It has the face of some pop star Taehyung knows but can’t name right now. “Because they assumed I looked like I would,” Jeongguk adds. “Do you find it hard to believe? That I just like being fucked?” Jeongguk turns his head to meet his eyes. Waiting patiently at Taehyung’s answer with big eyes and a slight smirk on his lips.

“No, not really,” Taehyung shakes his head. Doesn’t see it as weakness or submission. Just preference. “I just really like to do the fucking.”

Their eyes meet again. “I don’t remember the last time I was talking about my sexual preferences on the train,” Jeongguk points out, his brows shooting up.

“Really? It must have been last week for me.”

It’s worth it to say those silly things to see the smile Jeongguk sends him.

“So if I told you I want to fuck you you’d refuse?” Jeongguk asks, mid-yawn, arching a brow at him in a challenge. His face is full of curiosity only.

“I’m always willing to try if I like someone enough.”

“That’s how I feel about topping,” Jeongguk says, nodding along. “Sooo, when was the last time you had sex?”

Taehyung makes a face, his eyes slightly bulging at the question. “Are you always so blunt and direct or is alcohol helping you?”

“Kind of always. At least, with my hook-ups. I mean, look, we are going to see each other’s dicks. Or already did that, so what’s the point of being shy about that?”

“I see your point. And I haven’t seen your dick yet.”

“And you already can guess it’s been a long time for me. I’d never had the guts to hook-up with someone while I was on active duty. That’s the other thing I hate about Korea. The fucking shit these men would talk about in the barracks. Fuck. I felt like I was on another planet. Made me realize I live in my bubble here in New York. Like sure, it looks so grim here as well lately, but I surround myself here with people like me and then it’s easy to forget how shitty everyone else is.”

“I think the service made me realize how much I never want to live there again. It was a really shitty realization, but my parents brought me here when I was four, so I know nothing about living there. All I have is that passport now, right? How old were you when you left?”

Jeongguk’s face twists for a second. He bites the corner of his mouth and an expression of almost pain strikes him. “I was twelve. That’s why I have an accent. Don’t deny it. I know it’s there. It’s not a bad thing, you know? Growing up made me realize that. But yea, so, the realization was even shittier, because I idolized home so much. I even thought a few times I’d go back after college. The service will make me want to stay. Well. Look what that got me. Attending my ex’s fancy wedding and some good dick.”

“What else is there in life, right?”

Jeongguk pursues his lips and smiles a bit. It’s such a cute sight—the way he tries to suppress his amusement. “Right. So? Last time you had sex.”

Taehyung can’t hide his grimace. He knows what it will sound like next to Jeongguk’s confession.

“Two weeks ago.”

Jeongguk just raises his brows. “Who was it?”

“A girl from work,” Taehyung says and cringes.

“Where do you work?”

“I work at an insurance company. Nothing glamorous. Just replying to people’s forms all day. Pay’s shittier than you’d had thought.”

“So she’s another office worker?”

“Yeah.”

“How was it?”

“I mean.” Taehyung feels the needles of discomfort prickling at his skin. “It was just sex. It was nice sex.”

“Mindblowing sex?”

“Not really. Just good sex.” He shrugs. He ate her out and she sucked him off. They didn’t even act awkward at the office the next day. Somehow it made sense for both of them that was all it would ever be.

The train stops and no one comes in. Taehyung watches Jeongguk as Jeongguk watches the empty seats. He has a cute little mole under his lip. It’s only visible when he bites onto his bottom lip.

“Would you fuck someone else at that wedding if I didn’t pick you up?” Jeongguk asks bluntly.

“Yeah. Probably. If someone wanted, that is.” He gives Jeongguk another mindless shrug, trying to be honest. Jeongguk seems to wear his intentions on his sleeve. Taehyung can see the honesty pouring out of Jeongguk, despite his smirk and dirty words.

“C’mon Taehyung. Someone would have wanted to. You know what you look like.”

It seems stupid and shallow to admit that he knows he’s attractive. He knows girls have always had a thing for him. He was almost the perfect guy for all the Korean girls in New York, whose parents knew his parents and thought him perfect for their daughters. The cracks and imperfections aren’t visible when he is willing to date within his ethnicity and always offers the mothers of his girlfriends a ride to the market. Oh Taehyung, you’re such a good boy. My son is only dating those American girls, who make faces at my accent.

“All the old ladies my dad is friends with always wanted me to date their daughters. They liked the fact that I speak almost perfect Korean and use my real name.”

“Namjoon was my only Korean boyfriend. And he can’t even speak Korean that well. Like at all actually.”

“He can’t?”

“Nope. He has never even visited. He’s American more than anything.”

“He fits right with Jihyo then. Or Jen.”

“She uses that name?”

“She used to. In college.”

“So you’re her college boyfriend, right?”

“Her college sweetheart.”

“Sweetheart. I can see that,” Jeongguk says with his head slightly tilted. Taehyung watches his pouty lips, still dizzy on the orgasm he had.

Jeongguk stands up before the next stop. He reaches his hand toward Taehyung and he grabs it. Willing to put his life in Jeongguk’s hands.

“Just five more stops, c’mon.”

*

The apartment is small. A living room barely contains a small, cozy couch and a big TV. The small hallway has to lead to the bathroom and a bedroom and the kitchen is on the opposite side.

Jeongguk looks almost shy as he kicks off his shoes and lays his blazer on the back of the couch. “My cousin lived here while I was in Korea. She saved up and moved in with her partner a few weeks ago, leaving me here alone again.” He shrugs. “Do you want some water or something?”

“It would be great,” Taehyung answers. Jeongguk nods and disappears into the kitchen.

He takes off his shoes and hangs his blazer on the empty hanger. Jeongguk lit a small lamp in the living room and it created a dim atmosphere in the apartment.

Jeongguk comes back with two glasses of water and puts them down on the circular coffee table. The apartment makes them both more shy. Everything felt like a dream or a fantasy out there but it’s real when they stand in the middle of Jeongguk’s apartment, unable to look into each other’s eyes.

Taehyung takes a long, loud inhale to calm the nerves inside him and laughs on the exhale. “Your apartment is great.”

“Yeah?”

“A little dark but weirdly cozy. And I can see you have really great sound system next to your TV, so that’s—”

“Taehyung,” Jeongguk cuts him off.

Taehyung can get used to hearing his name on Jeongguk’s lips. Not mispronounced, not shortened. Belonging there. The vowels roll off so perfectly.

“Yeah?”

Jeongguk doesn’t answer. He grabs Taehyung’s nape and brings himself closer, a toothy grin spreading on his face. “Let’s just fuck. On my bed. Right now.”

“You don’t have to convince me.”

Jeongguk is a dream as they stumble into the room. A real fucking fantasy as he lies himself down, propped on his elbows and spreads his legs to accommodate Taehyung’s body, grinning like he can’t contain his amusement.

It’s too fast too soon and Taehyung is just a dumb fucking guy, who thinks with his dick all the time, but god, Jeongguk looks like a dream. He looks like he was crafted specifically for Taehyung.

“How do you want it?” he asks as his knees dig into the hard mattress.

“Like this. Just like this,” Jeongguk answers. His big, dark eyes shine in the dark, but Taehyung can see it all thanks to the streetlamp and the light coming from the living room.

“You let me fuck your mouth in a public bathroom but you want me to fuck you missionary? Aww, you’re really sweet under that dirty act.”

“I know what I like.” He looks smug as he says it. “Plus. It was a really fancy bathroom, so it’s almost better than if I let you fuck my mouth at my own bathroom. My cousin is cute but I know she didn’t clean that place regularly when I was gone.”

“You’re ridiculous."

Jeongguk laughs, falling on his back onto the bed. His hair is tousled, revealing his shiny forehead. Taehyung follows after him like a dog, his body caging Jeongguk on the bed. His eyes travel downward, studying the way the material of his slacks strains against Jeongguk’s thighs. He licks his lips.

“I think you’re wearing way too many clothes.”

“What are you going to do about it, though?”

They don’t know each other and they’re strangers, but Taehyung feels like he has known him longer than life. Or maybe that’s just the wine in his bloodsystem and the heavy feeling between his legs. Maybe Taehyung just likes sex and pretty boys too much.

“Kiss me, pretty boy.”

So Taehyung kisses him. A close-mouthed kiss, bruising his lips and making his skin prickle.

Jeongguk’s hands grip his sides as they open their mouths and their tongues clash, and god. He missed when sex felt like this. Desperate and hungry and a bit clumsy since they don’t know each other. Their bodies aren’t used to this.

Taehyung briefly dated a girl after his military service who said fucking isn’t that complicated and most people like the same things. Once you do it, you can do it with anyone and do a good job. Taehyung isn’t so sure now.

He takes off Jeongguk’s white shirt, button by button and it may be a siren outside or maybe it’s a siren going off in his head. He can’t be sure.

Jeongguk’s lips spread into another smile once he’s shirtless.

“Nice tat.”

Jeongguk looks down at his chest. “It’s shitty. I’m aware. Thinking of a cover-up.”

“Why did you get it if it’s shitty?”

“I had a crush on the tattoo artist and I was twenty.”

Taehyung hums. He takes off his own belt and throws it on the wooden floor, watching the way Jeongguk’s nose twitches when it makes a cluttering sound. When the slacks go past his knees, his own tattoo is revealed.

“Blush?” Jeongguk reads the words above his knee. “What does that mean?”

“I lied to you about my favourite song.”

“How many times have you lied to me today?”

Taehyung shakes his head, not sure himself when he pushes lies through his teeth. Jeongguk raises his brows in silence, his eyes travelling from Taehyung’s bare legs up to his almost bare chest. He would do anything to read his thoughts right now.

Jeongguk has a strong body: lean and ripped. Yet, there’s something sweet about him. So sweet, Taehyung is getting a phantom toothache. His waist dips into his lithe hips and his thighs relax and tense as Jeongguk just waits for Taehyung’s next move.

Taehyung’s hands start sweating. He knows sex and desire, yet he feels like an amateur looking into Jeongguk’s big waiting eyes. He clears his throat.

Jeongguk chuckles softly. “Are you nervous?”

“Kind of. I don’t know why either. I just am.”

“No need to be, Taehyung. I don’t bite.”

“Which is nice, because you look like you do.”

It makes Jeongguk laugh. And god, it’s a sight like nothing else. The big teeth and sparkly eyes. Taehyung could stand there forever, his pants down and all. He could stand there and stare at Jeongguk’s sparkly eyes and tight body.

When he leans down and kisses Jeongguk again, he’s not as nervous anymore. Jeongguk grips his nape and softly whines into his mouth and he knows how to do this. He’s done this before.

When his kisses go down, biting Jeongguk’s neck, he gets a moan in return. When he licks into Jeongguk’s pierced ear, Jeongguk arches into him. The moans get airier and whinier. Taehyung is drunk on the sounds and the hot press of his body. The desire grows heavier and he can’t almost stand the weight of it between them. Hot stomach to hot stomach. Hard, tense muscles to hard, tense muscles. Skin to skin. Sun-kissed skin to pink-toned skin.

When he gets his hands on Jeongguk’s cock, he lets out a long groan directly into his mouth. He spreads the wetness at the tip all over his length. Jeongguk’s cock is as pretty as his face, because of course it is. Taehyung should have known that.

“You’re not real, huh,” Taehyung mumbles between the wet kisses. Because none of it feels real when he kisses Jeongguk's chest. Life makes no sense as he traces his greedy tongue all over Jeongguk’s bellybutton.

He has a perfectly cute bellybutton.

Jeongguk is not as mouthy when Taehyung grabs the lube from the bottom shelf of his bedside table. He stays silent when he bends his legs toward his chest. All Taehyung really hears when he gets his first fingers inside of him are the airy and high moans from the back of his throat. He keeps his eyes tightly shut while Taehyung fingers him open.

“Fuck, Jeongguk, look at you,” Taehyung moans into his ear with his one hand gripping his waist and the other fingering him loose.

“What? Tell me,” Jeongguk questions.

Taehyung takes another look at him. His chest is flushed and all he can focus on are the hard, perky nipples before his gaze travels toward Jeongguk’s half hard pink cock.

“You’re the sexiest thing I have ever seen. I can’t wait to be inside you.”

“Yeah?” Jeongguk finds his eyes. He can barely keep his eyes open, but it doesn’t stop him from smirking at Taehyung like he knows he’s a dream. Almost like he knows he was carved specifically for Taehyung. “You are inside me.”

“I need to stuff you with my cock.”

Jeongguk giggles. “Yeah, big boy? Want my asshole that bad?”

“Yes. Fuck.”

“Then come fuck me. I’m horny.”

The heat between them becomes unbearable and he can see the tiny droplets of sweat in the creases and crooks across Jeongguk’s body. He eases the third finger inside of him and watches his face twist sweetly.

“Your fingers are quite long, fuck.”

“When was the last time someone fucked you?”

Jeongguk huffs out a laugh when Taehyung’s fingers crook up. “My last day in New York before I went to Korea. I had this on and off thing with a guy at work.”

“Where did you work?”

“At Uniqlo.”

“Was he good?”

“Decent enough. He had a thing for eating ass.”

“Oh, that guy. I think I might know that guy.”

“Everyone knows that guy. Taehyung.” Jeongguk looks at him pointedly, opening his eyes. “Your dick. Now.”

“Yessir.”

He bends down his spine to grab a condom from the bottom shelf. He pushes the things inside aside, yet no condom appears. Just two purple dildos. “Jeongguk. You don’t have any condoms.”

“What? How’s that possible?” Jeongguk mumbles in Korean as his lips pull into pout. “Wait. I’ll check the bathroom. My cousin must have left some behind.” Jeongguk pulls himself upright but Taehyung stops him with a gentle nudge to lie back down.

“I’ll go look for them.”

Jeongguk arches a brow as he lies back down. “What? Are you all prince Charming about fucking? You stick your dick inside me so you gotta treat me like a princess?”

“Something like that. You mind?”

“Sometimes I do.”

The bathroom is tiny and cluttered the way bathrooms in New York just are. He doesn’t have the time to dwell on what kind of moisturizer Jeongguk uses or the razor he keeps on the sink as he looks through the white cabinet.

He finds three condoms scattered behind various sheet masks with both Korean and Japanese writings on them. He gives himself exactly five seconds to imagine Jeongguk, resting after work, with his sheetmasks on.

“I can fuck you three times exactly.”

Jeongguk snickers. “Like your dick would be able to handle that.”

He shifted on the bed. One leg bent, his heel resting on the bed, one leg dangling from the edge. He’s holding a phone above his head.

“I was checking if that convenience store around the corner is actually twenty four seven.” His eyes shift to the three condoms Taehyung is holding between his pointer and index fingers. “But Nayoung is a real one after all.”

He grins. Jeongguk grins back. He tosses the condoms carelessly onto the bed and one hits Jeongguk against the hip. He grabs the packet, rips it apart with his teeth, not even blinking as he looks up at Taehyung.

“Come here,” he says. Taehyung obediently comes closer to the bed. He bends one knee to find his place between Jeongguk legs. Jeongguk rises into a sitting position as he grabs Taehyung’s dick and rolls the condom onto it. His grip is demanding. He’s so sure of himself.

Taehyung is in love. His dick is in love. Something like that.

Jeongguk squirts lube on Taehyung’s cock, pumping him a few times for good measure. Taehyung breathes in through his teeth and Jeongguk must like that because he gives him another sunny smile. Taehyung lines himself up, looks up at Jeongguk, stops himself.

“Tell me something I don’t know about you.”

Jeongguk barks out a surprised laugh, throwing his head back against the pillow. “You’re so….you don’t know most things about me.”

“C’mon.”

He runs his hands up and down the insides of Jeongguk’s thighs. He enjoys seeing how the hairs stand up. “I own a bike. I’m a biker. A motorbike, not a fucking bicycle. You can check out my helmets under the bed. Your turn.”

“Are you going to take me for a ride?” Taehyung asks cockily. He scratches Jeongguk’s thigh this time.

“Do you think this will go beyond tonight?”

“Something tells me this won’t be the last time we’re fucking,” Taehyung states. Bold. He knows. He enjoys the twinkle in Jeongguk’s eye. The little spark. The way he tongues his cheek.

“You have to put your dick inside first. Tell me something now,” Jeongguk demands.

“I actually own a bicycle. I bike to my office.”

Jeongguk rolls his eyes. “What are you? Asian JFK junior?”

“Uncanny resemblance, right?”

 He pushes in slowly.

Jeongguk squeezes his eyes shut. Taehyung wants to follow him because, god. He missed this. The overwhelming heat of someone’s body sucking him inside, there’s nothing like this. Nothing like a pretty boy like Jeongguk opening himself for Taehyung, his cheeks flushed, his hands tightened into fists. Taehyung bottoms out and drops onto his elbows. He needs to taste the desire straight from Jeongguk’s tongue.

“You’re so beautiful, Jeongguk,” Taehyung whispers and steals a soft kiss from his half-parted lips before Jeongguk can respond.

“Do you tell all your hook-ups sweet nothings like this, fuck, please move,” Jeongguk says against his mouth.

“No. Not many of them were as beautiful as you are.”

Jeongguk opens his eyes and takes a good look at him, pausing like he’s considering something. Like he feels this bubbly thing between them, the same way Taehyung feels it, too.

Taehyung snaps his hips gently and Jeongguk arches his back off the bed, curls himself into Taehyung.

He repeats it again and again, drinking all the whines from Jeongguk’s mouth. With every movement of his hips, he tries to dig himself deeper, he wants to be even closer.

“Do you always fuck like that?” Jeongguk gasps into his mouth, tongue already licking his bottom lip, nibbling softly with his teeth. He whines when Taehyung snaps his hips harder, scrunching his brows.

“Like what?”

“Like you want us to become one. It’s really fucking me up.”

“Why?”

“Cause I wouldn’t mind being fucked like that again.”

Taehyung hides his face in the crook of Jeongguk’s neck, groaning softly into his skin. The heat of Jeongguk’s body is overwhelming and Taehyung is melting. He feels like his skin could come off any second.

“Fuck, Taehyung, I’m going to come soon. It’s been—,”

“Doesn’t matter, c’mon, I want you, too, can’t wait to see you come, Jeongguk, c’mon,” Taehyung moans into his neck. His hips are getting sloppy with the movement, his thighs and elbows start to burn, but the wetness and tightness makes him push through.

Taehyung can’t believe that when he woke up in the morning in his apartment, he hadn’t known Jeongguk yet. Sixteen hours ago, Jeongguk was a total stranger, a face he wouldn't recognize in the street. Maybe he passed by him in the streets before. After all, you pass by so many people everyday. Especially in the city.

He can’t even imagine leaving Jeongguk’s apartment after he was lucky enough to be inside of him. After being inside felt like home. He’s being stupid. He’s being cock-dumb.

He pushes both of them further onto the bed, grabs Jeongguk’s hips and brings his ass to rest on top of Taehyung’s thighs.

“I’m going to last exactly thirty seconds in this position,” Jeongguk says through a sudden laugh as Taehyung tightens his grip on his hips.

“I’ll fuck you through it,” Taehyung says.

It punches out another laugh out of Jeonggu. Shaking his head, clenching his stomach, he says, “You’re stupid—”

Jeongguk grabs his own cock and it takes him two weak tugs to come all over his hand and stomach. Taehyung watches him through it. He knows the image will be back to him in the most embarrassing and desperate moments. Jeongguk’s hair is sweaty and messy, his skin is flushed and glistening and his mouth is pulling into the most beautiful smile Taehyung has ever seen.

It beats Jihyo’s. And Jihyo was probably the only person he has ever truly loved.

When he finishes soon after, it’s almost like an afterthought because he’s still recovering from the sight of Jeongguk's cum drying on his stomach.

Taehyung collapses on top of him. Another laugh.

“You’re a real fucker, huh?”

Taehyung just hums and grinds his hips, his cock still inside of Jeongguk.

“Get the fuck out of me, fuck, you did a number on me, god,” Jeongguk babbles.

“Do you always talk so much after just getting your shit fucked out?”

“Don’t flatter yourself, pretty boy.”

He tries to be careful as he slips himself out, kisses the side of Jeongguk's face and stands up from the bed. In the bathroom, he finds some wet tissues, which he uses to wipe the cum and lube from Jeongguk’s spent body.

Jeongguk just watches him through it with his sleepy and dreamy eyes. He sits on the edge of the bed after he’s done. Jeongguk seems to be waiting for something.

“Do you want me to fuck off?”

“No,” Jeongguk says. “Do you want to fuck off? Be honest. I’m not the type to be psycho—”

“I don’t want to fuck off.”

Something changes about Jeongguk’s face and Taehyung doesn’t really know him at all yet, so he doesn’t have the ins and outs of him. He doesn’t have the words to describe what Jeongguk’s face entails.

“So stay. I make bomb breakfast. And my mom just gave me some side dishes.”

“You asked me what happened between me and Jihyo. On the dance floor.”

Jeongguk furrows his brows, probably confused why Taehyung is bringing it up. “You don’t have to tell me.”

“It’s alright. I don’t mind but it may change the way you look at me” Taehyung admits, a bit ashamed, still not free despite Jihyo’s absolution.

“Tell me anyway. If you still want to.”

“Ah, here goes nothing.” He swallows the truth on his tongue. Bites it back before releasing it to Jeongguk. “I cheated on her.”

“Oh,” Jeongguk mutters and his whole face changes again. His eyes dim a little and his lips drop into a frown.

“Yeah,” Taehyung breaks their eye contact, not bearing those big eyes looking at him differently.

“That’s pretty fucking shitty.”

“Yeah.”

Life outside continues. Someone yells at someone. Some dog barks. Music blasts from some bar.

“I may be too fucked out for something this heavy,” Jeongguk says, hooking his chin on Taehyung’s shoulder. “What did she say to you on the dancefloor?”

“That she forgives me. And it’s okay for me to let go,” he answers truthfully, trying to understand what this closeness from Jeongguk means.

“I have another question but it may be too personal. We’re strangers after all.”

“Ask anyway. I feel like oversharing with a stranger. Especially with one I fucked ten minutes ago,” Taehyung tries to joke.

Jeongguk crinkles his nose sweetly. “Did you ever cheat on anyone else?”

“No.”

He never did. Never again.

“Are you dating anyone right now?”

“I wouldn’t be doing all that if that was the case. I’m not really a believer of talking stages.”

“Why did you do it then?” Jeongguk asks.

“It will sound like the shittiest excuse you have ever heard.”

“Tell me anyway. I’m just a stranger.”

And Taehyung wants to deny it because it’s understatement to say Jeongguk is just a stranger when his skin and heart are buzzing the way they are. His hands want to hold, to touch, to possess.

“We were fighting. All the time. She said she wants me to purpose and I told her we’re too young. She said she wants to have kids young and I told her I never promised her that,” Taehyung says, coming back to those shitty months. “I mean, kids? I was twenty-three and she was twenty-one.”

“So you cheated on her?” Jeongguk’s voice cuts through his monologue. He steals a glance at him.

“We fought that night. I was leaving for Daegu the next week. We wouldn’t see each other for a year and a half. She told me it’s too much. I should just lose my citizenship. That our lives were here. In America. In New York. That I was a selfish bastard. I went to a bar. Made out with a stranger. Let him get on his knees in front of me before the realization hit me. I already knew it was over. My relationship. So I went back to her and told her and watched her fall apart.”

“Today she said that it’s okay for me to forgive myself. She’s happy,” he continues when Jeongguk just gives him silence. “So it makes no sense for me to punish myself over it.”

“Did you? Punish yourself?”

“Dunno. Maybe. It felt deserved, though. Well, that ruined the mood, huh?” Taehyung laughs. His eyes hang on Jeongguk’s half-opened closet. Some flannels, some heavy jackets, a few dress pants.

“It’s not my thing to forgive or judge, Taehyung. Was it shitty? Yeah. It’s still. I don’t want it to be a thing that ruined today. I had fun with you. We can think about everything else in the morning.”

Taehyung reaches out to stroke his hair before he can stop his hand. Jeongguk closes his eyes when his fingers start to scratch the skin. Delicately. Like Jeongguk's a flower. He just might be.

“Okay. Let’s do that, then.”

“My favourite MJ song is PYT. Since I already know yours,” Jeongguk says, not opening his eyes. He yawns through the words.

Taehyung grins, observing him like the stars in the sky. “You’re such a PYT,” he whispers into his hair, bending to press a kiss there. Way too much way too soon.

Jeongguk snorts loudly. “That was smooth. Another thing? I fall asleep immediately after sex. Do you mind?”

“Not really. Not at all.”

He doesn’t mind anything. He just wants to stay in the moment.

Notes:

this might get a second part in faraway future, because I have a whole idea of how their relationship progresses. also believe it or not but I got inspired to write this after watching materialists (2025).
