These first few days of April
Have been so dreary with the weather.
It has been cloudy, rainy, and cold
As it usually is this time of year.
The rain is now falling
In a hard and frozen manner.
It is a good thing I do not have to be anywhere.
I can stay nice and cozy at home.
One must be very careful in the freezing rain
As things can get quite slippery.
I am just thankful
That it did not turn to hail.
