It was a cool, breezy evening in yoylelend. The sun was slowly setting over the horizon in a beautiful display of colour. Price tag sat beside winner on the couch, looking outside the window of their shared hotel room at the beautiful sight before them.
“It really is pretty, isn’t it?” Winner muttered to Taggy.
“I agree, the view is wonderful!” Taggy replies.
“You know… ah, nevermind” winner mumbled to themself.
“No, what is it?” Taggy persuaded
“its just… loser would’ve loved this view..” winner said, sniffling a bit.
“You think about loser a lot, don’t you?”
“Every day. I loved him so, so much. I… found it hard when he left. I was happy for him, pursuing his dreams, but sometimes i just… wish he was here. I wish I could hold his soft hands again. He had the softest hands. And now.. he’s using them to play loser cake with someone else-” Winners eyes started tearing up before they could even finish their sentence.
“Woah, buddy! There, there.” Price tag whispered as they plopped beside winner and gently patted their back. “Should we talk about it together?”
“C-can we.. later? P-please-”
“Of course, buddy” Taggy whispered gently, offering winner a tissue “dry your eyes”
Winner slowly dabbed their eyes with the soft tissue as they sat in silence together.
“Please, d-don’t tell anyone ab-about this?” Winner begged with a quavering, sniffled voice
“Of course not. Just, make sure you’re feeling better, ok?”
“ok”
Suddenly, a familiar sensation shot through their bodies. The scenery around them shifted. They looked around. They'd been teleported outside. The grass was warm under their feet and the breeze was cool against their bodies.
They were greeted by a very enthusiastic looking two. “Hello everyone!” They said, while looking around at all the contestants.
“Two, what are we doing here?” Marker asked.
“Yea two” Tree followed “isn’t it a bit late to gather for cake at steak?”
Twos smile grew bigger as they laughed “Well, we are not gathering for cake at stake! It’s for today’s challenge!”
“Which is…?” Eraser muttered impatiently, tapping his foot on the ground.
“Well, I’m glad you asked, eraser” two exclaimed before jumping up and floating in the sky. “Today’s challenge issss….. a sleepover!” They shouted ecstatically, flapping their hands in excitement “it’s not much of a challenge, but i thought it would be fun to take it easy today!”
An enthusiastic chatter came from the crowd of contestants.
“Hey pillow, looks like you’ll finally be useful for once” yelled Eraser, throwing pillow a menacing look.
“If you wanna kill someone, then sure!” Pillow replied, ignoring Eraser’s attempt at mockery.
“I have a question about this” Black Hole said to Two. “What activities will we be doing at this sleepover? I don’t want any potential health hazards. As a member of of death PACT it is my sworn duty to-“
“yea yea yea” Two interrupted “everything will be fine! So, listen up, everyone! For this activity, we’re going to do a TEAM SWAP! For this sleepover, everyone will need at least ONE partner! With these partners, you will partake in assorted activities as a bonding experience!”
Various “ooh!”s and “ahh!”s could be heard from the crowd of contestants
“But two” Snowball interrupted “when do we pick our partners?”
“Ermmm… right now!” Two said.
