Norville sat at an outdoor picnic table at the open aired food pavilion surrounded by concrete planters of flowers and planted trees with lush green leaves under the purple glow of the bat light poles at the Boardwalk Bazaar across from Becky as they were out on a date eating at burgers and fries from Patty Palace. He picked up his triple cheeseburger topped with peanut butter, blue cheese, spicy mayo, and bacon jam as he took a bite. “Yummy.”
Becky chuckled as she picked up her bacon cheddar burger topped with pickles, mustard and mushrooms as she took a bite. “That looks like a big mess.
Norvill chuckled as he picked up a handful fries dipping them in ketchup a sshe ate them. “It’s good though.”
Becky picked upa crispy crinkle cut fry as she dipped it in the sweet and bold Bbq sauce taking a bite. “Your so funny, Norvlle.”
Norville smiled at her as he slurped his Scooby snack cream soda as he chuckled. “Thanks, darling.
Becky smiled at him as she sipped her Ghost clown cream soda as she looked around. “This area is so pretty.”
Norville glanced around a she smiled and picked up burger taking a bite. “Yeah, groovy.”
Becky picked up a fry dipping it in the sauce as she took a bite. “I hope Scooby iso kay back at the apartment.” She chuckled
Norville chuckled as he dipped fries into the ketchup as he ate them. “Yeah, he probably eating a box of Scooby snacks and watching television right now.”
Becky chuckled as she smiled at him and picked up her burger taking a bite. “Yeah, I am glad we got to have our date night.”
Norville slurped his soda as she smiled. “Yeah, me too.”
Becky rested her arm on the picnic table as she picked up a fry and dipped into the BBQ sauce as she took a bite. “I love you.”
Norville leaned forward as he smiled at her and picked up his burger taking a bite. “Love you too darling.”
Becky pulled off the pink strap of her cross-body bag as she sat on the bench next to her. She picked up her burger taking a bite as she looked around. “So, what shall we do?”
Norville chuckled as he picked up his cup of soda as he slurped it and smiled. “Whatever we want to this is our time.”
Becky picked up cup of soda as she stirred the ice as she sipped it. “Yeah that’s’ true.
Norville reached across the table as he held her hand fingers interlaced and brushed his thumb over her knuckles and chuckled. “Do you think we did the right thing by leaving Scooby back at the apartment?”
Becky chuckled as she held his hand. “Of course, Norville this is date night its couple time. Scooby is fine.”
