Dagon's room was bathed in its usual, strangely calm, dim light. The soft glow from a few hanging oil lamps made everything feel cozier, as if the world had finally decided to leave them alone for a few hours. The outside world could manage perfectly well without them for the time being. At this moment, there were no responsibilities, no hierarchy, no war to organize, no area to monitor. Just them.
Beneath the soft blanket, their naked bodies were hidden from view, enveloped in the warmth of the bed still imbued with their presence. Only their shoulders and faces protruded. Dagon was positioned above Michael, nestled between her legs and arms as if it were her natural place. Her auburn hair fell around her like a curtain of fire as she kissed her gently, taking her time. Her lips slid slowly against the brunette's, then along her jaw, down her neck, onto her shoulders. Each kiss was soft, incredibly soft coming from her.
Under the covers, her hands continued to explore Michael's body, gliding naturally over her stomach, her hips, her legs, drawing breaths of satisfaction from her that the brunette no longer even tried to hold back. And Michael, for her part, despite her legendary seriousness, returned the favor in exactly the same way. Her hands glided over the demon with an equally sensual slowness, one that would have surprised many, particularly enjoying the sensation of the scales beneath her fingers. This strange texture, now familiar, that she should never have known. Smooth in some places, thicker, even sharp, in others. She had learned to love them. She gently traced the outline of some of them, along her ribs, with her fingertips as if tracing a familiar map.
Dagon shivered. A soft laugh escaped her against the angel's skin. And her hand would occasionally slide boldly between the brunette's legs, caressing her in a cruelly slow way, drawing stifled gasps from her. As if to make her understand what she intended to do to her in the next few moments... or rather, what she intended to do to her again.
" Are you going to do it or are you just trying to annoy me ? " Michael muttered against her lips.
" Both, " purred Dagon, burying her face in her neck again. " What a privilege... " She raised her head slightly, " to be the one who makes the new Supreme Archangel sin, " she joked against her lips.
Michael slowly opened her eyes to look at her. Dagon always found a way to comment. She gave a light, amused sigh and slid a hand onto the redhead's shoulder before replying with her characteristic calm.
" And what a privilege to be the one who brought the new Grand Duke of Hell to her knees. You're not very resilient. " A slight smile crossed her lips. " I didn't even need weapons. Are you getting soft ? "
Dagon stood up and let out a low laugh. " Never. It's your fault. And you'll always need weapons with me. "
Michael raised an eyebrow. " Promise ? "
Dagon leaned forward just enough to brush her lips against hers. " I promise. "
The kiss that followed was surprisingly soft and tender. A slow, comfortable, and intimate exchange. Almost lazy. Dagon took her time, savoring the sensation of Michael's lips against hers, the way the angel always responded immediately, even when she pretended not to want to. When they parted, Dagon still kept her face close to hers.
" I would be very cruel if I left you without fighting, wouldn't I ? "
Michael let out a soft breath, her fingers still gliding over Dagon's skin.
" Hmm. I want to fight, " she muttered.
Dagon chuckled softly. " I know. " She gently kissed the corner of her mouth. " But not now. "
" Why ? "
Dagon wore that unbearably smug smile.
" I have other plans for you now. " She tilted her head slightly. " Well… for today. "
Michael rolled her eyes, even though the small smile at the corner of her mouth betrayed her. And Dagon immediately returned to seize her lips once more. Because she seemed unable to go more than thirty seconds without doing it. And Michael, as almost always, let her do it.
Then suddenly, the door opened abruptly, almost slamming against the wall.
" Hey, Dagon, guess wha- aah ! "
Scylla, who had just entered unannounced as was her habit, stopped mid-sentence and immediately turned her head.
" What ? What's going on ? " asked Leviathan, who had been following along calmly. She stopped too. " Oh- "
Everything happened very quickly. And yet, not quickly enough for Michael's liking. The silence lasted about half a second before Leviathan let out a mocking laugh upon discovering the scene.
" Don't stop for us, eh, " she told them without embarrassment.
" FOR SATAN'S SAKES, GET OUT OF HERE ! " Dagon shouted at her.
She had reacted immediately, pulling the blanket higher in a chaotic gesture while trying to hide Michael with her hand as if that would miraculously erase what they had just seen. Scylla had already left the room long ago. Leviathan, on the other hand, seemed far too amused.
" Easy, easy. I didn't see anything, " said Leviathan, turning to leave the room. " Hi, Michael, " she called over her shoulder.
The door closed. And silence fell abruptly. Dagon immediately locked the door with a wave of her hand, then looked down at Michael.
" Sorry, love, I thought I had closed it. "
Michael, meanwhile, had both hands pressed against her face. Completely frozen. Ashamed to have been caught in that state. The two demons already knew about their relationship, of course, but they had never really seen them in a situation where they resembled a real couple. Michael always acted far too professionally to let anything slip. Dagon had to bite the inside of her cheek to keep from laughing.
" I hate her, " Michael finally muttered behind her hands.
" Leviathan ? "
" Scylla can pass, but Leviathan annoys me. "
Dagon let out a soft chuckle and leaned down to gently kiss her shoulder.
" Come on... "
The brunette then removed her hands from her face. She was red. Very red. And clearly horrified. She immediately tried to push Dagon away to get out of bed.
" Hey, wait, wait- " the redhead grabbed onto her. " What are you doing ? "
" I'm leaving. "
" Why ? "
" Why ? " Michael looked at her, almost outraged. " What do you think ? " She gestured vaguely toward the door. " It's humiliating. Maybe I should kill them. "
Dagon made a fond face. " Oh come on, they didn't see anything. "
" They've seen enough, " snapped Michael. She tried to pull away. " Move aside. Let me get up. "
" No, " muttered Dagon, hugging her tightly and burying her face in her neck.
" Ugh, Dagon, " Michael groaned as the demon crushed her with her body to prevent her from moving.
" Stay. Dagon kissed her shoulder. " They won't come anymore. "
" How can you know that ? "
" I know them, that's all, " replied Dagon, kissing her neck. " Please. And then we fight, " she added far too innocently.
Michael slowly turned her head to look at her out of the corner of her eye. Dagon knew exactly how to get what she wanted. That manipulator. That utterly unbearable creature. Michael sighed deeply, and Dagon gave her a triumphant smile.
" You're not going to let me go ? " the angel asked resignedly.
" No, " the Duke replied immediately. " My plan for the day was you. I can't change it now. "
Michael rolled her eyes. " You're exhausting me... "
Dagon gave a small, satisfied smile. " Hmm... I certainly intend to. "
" I still want to fight, " said the angel. " Even more now. "
" Are you going to take revenge on me ? "
" Take a guess. "
" No ? "
" Take another guess. "
" Mean angel... " said Dagon. " Well... I accept my fate. "
Then she leaned down again, gently kissing her neck before returning to her lips. A kiss to which Michael responded immediately, her body reacting before her head protested. She might well think about killing Leviathan later...
