Work Text:
His heartbeat echoed loudly in his ears.
As quick as each of his swings. As each of his attempts to pierce the Rächer's skin with his poisoned blade only to have each one blocked by Rerir's cloak.
The Rächer was different in the Traveler's memory. Even more powerful than when Lohen had been defeated by him. Or... was it that he just never went all out against Lohen? Did he think it beneath him when fighting a nobody like Lohen?
Maybe.
Maybe not.
There was also something else. Something that Lohen only began to pick up on after one too many blocked attacks.
Whereas the real one had grown bored with their fight at this point, indifference dulling his gaze, this one looked at him differently.
With hunger.
Lust.
Not that they were meant for Lohen.
Did the Traveler not know what Rerir looked like when his eye wasn't burning with desire?
But his gaze wasn't the only thing off compared to Lohen's memory. His lips moved behind the bandages, yet they didn't match the words that lingered in Lohen's mind. As he concentrated, Lohen could make out some muffled words - as if the Traveler had to actively suppress them. They were too quiet to truly understand them with human hearing.
Too bad Lohen's hearing wasn't exactly normal. Or human.
"I finally found you, my moon goddess," the undying flesh within him echoed. His vile blood pumped the words through his body until each and every one of his cells knew the truth of those words.
After the simulation was over, after he almost made the biggest mistake of his life, he allowed his eyes to meet those worried golden ones. And instead of remembering Rerir's words towards him, he only remembered Rerir's obsessive view of the Traveler.
How... interesting.
Lohen didn't know whether he hated or was deeply impressed by the Traveler's ability to appear completely oblivious while already having seen through Lohen's facade. It was a talent he shared with the Grand Master. One that easily rivaled Lohen's acts of sincere sympathy and sensibility.
Either way, the Traveler was talented and strong. Certainly stronger than Lohen. And in a way, despite his words, stronger than the Rächer of Solnari.
Lohen lowered his gaze from the Traveler's face. Let his eyes be glazed with emptiness as if he were lost in faraway thoughts. When all he could truly think of was the Traveler's bare midrift.
How his whole outfit seemed to be designed to make his waist look as small as possible while also drawing one's gaze towards it. How soft his skin looked. How much it invited Lohen to bruise it with his hands and teeth.
"My moon goddess," Ursa had previously echoed in his own voice to tempt Lohen.
Lohen had claimed that he would take what he wanted with his own hands.
But why not take what they wanted as well?
Not here, though. He would respect the sacredness of this place until his dying breath.
Lohen greedily swallowed the Traveler's moan as he entered him for the first time.
How heavenly he felt around Lohen. Hot and nearly unbearably tight as his muscles clenched down on the abrupt intrusion. Maybe Lohen should've been more patient when preparing him, maybe Lohen should've used more lube. But... he had grown more and more impatient with every moan that left those kiss-swollen lips. With every touch that the Traveler had eagerly arched into. With the nails that dug into his own back until they drew blood.
The Traveler broke the kiss. He was barely able to suck in breaths between the moans and screams Lohen drew out of him as he started fucking him with abandon. Fast and hard, wild like an animal focused on nothing but fulfilling an instinct. Lohen stopped being anything but when the first drop of Ursa's blood entered his veins.
Lohen's eyes were wide, his grin even more so, as he took in the Traveler's expression.
Face flushed, eyes closed with tears perling between thick lashes. His long hair was spilled across the pillows and sheets, his braid having been long undone by Lohen's insistent fingers.
He looked truly devine.
My moon goddess.
