❀🤍
Por fell in love with Ohmkrit long before DMD Friendship Season 2 officially began.
It happened during one of the first gatherings for the Gen 4 artists. The meeting itself wasn’t particularly memorable. Everyone was nervous, introducing themselves, exchanging greetings, trying to make good impressions. Yet among all the faces in the room, Por only remembered one.
Ohm.
Even years later, Por could still recall the exact moment their eyes met across the room. Ohm had been laughing at something another trainee said, his smile bright and genuine, completely unaware that someone was already staring at him. The feeling that hit Por was immediate and terrifying. He had never believed in love at first sight until that moment.
He tried convincing himself it was nothing but a
Crush.
Admiration.
Curiosity.
Anything but love.
The feeling never faded. Instead, it followed him everywhere.
--
By the time DMD Friendship filming started, Por had already spent months carrying emotions he could never confess.
The first mission of the season became the best and worst thing that had ever happened to him.
Everyone gave their all throughout the challenge. The atmosphere was competitive but exciting. Por pushed himself harder than he ever had before, determined to prove himself. When the final results were announced and he was declared the winner, cheers erupted around the set.
The reward was simple. The winner would get the privilege of taking one person on a special date.
Everyone immediately began teasing each other.
Some shouted names. Others laughed.
A voice from a speaker can be heard:
"Everyone except por, please put on your blindfolds and sit at your designated seats"
"Por, please use this moment to think about which friend you are going to pick for the friendship time"
"Por please stand behind your friends, and choose a partner for friendship time"
Por stood behind the members to pick who he wants to join him for a date. Por without hesitation chose Ohm. Because why not? he knew he already has an "acting" partner, but that didn't stopped him from picking Ohm still. It was an opportunity to have a proper conversation with Ohm. Atleast for just a day.
Por removed the blindfold and he saw how surprised Ohm was. Who wouldn't be? Por and Ohm rarely had an interaction never talked much just casual nods and smiles.
"Por had chosen a partner" the voice said.
"Congratulations Ohmkrit"
The entire room exploded.
“Oh?”
“That fast?”
“You already knew who you wanted!”
Por laughed along with everyone else while pretending his heart wasn’t threatening to burst through his chest.
Ohm looked up at Por surprised still before smiling. “If you chose me, then I guess I can’t say no.”
That smile stayed with Por for years.
"P'kim look they're holding hands" says the youngest Patji.
"all we can do is wish them all the best" Kim countered looking at them with obvious surprise.
--
The date took place later that evening. Production team arranged a small dinner away from the main cast. The cameras remained nearby and hidden, but the atmosphere felt more relaxed than the competitive environment they had spent the entire day navigating.
At first, both of them were slightly awkward. Shy smiles, nods. Then the food came.
"That's sweet!" Ohm pertaining the food "the squid"
"It's got edible gold leaves too!" Por said unable to stop himself from smiling
"It's so lovely"
Por took a candid photo of Ohm.
"Take the picture of the food, you!"
Por laughed shyly "It's for my memories"
They continued eating while talking about their favorite foods. They were still getting to know each other. Still learning where the boundaries existed.
They ate in silence until Ohm spoke.
"What line of work are you most excited to pursue in the industry?"
"Honestly, when I first joined the industry, I wanted to be an actor ever since I was young" Por opened up. "However, the singing career presented itself first"
"I saw your singing videos actually"
"Really?" Por answered beaming.
"Yes, you have talents you know?"
"Thankyou"
Por's heart melted.
The conversation came easier after that. After dinner they wandered through small garden decorated with warm lights. Just walking without the cameras watching while discussing their experiences as newbies. Ohm talked about the pressure he felt entering the industry. Por listened carefully, fascinated by every word.
“Honestly, I still don’t know if I’m good enough sometimes,” Ohm admitted.
Por frowned immediately. “You’re kidding.”
“I’m serious.”
“Have you looked in a mirror?”
Ohm laughed. “What does that have to do with talent?”
“Nothing.”
“Then?”
Por looked away. “Just saying.”
The smile Ohm gave him afterward nearly stopped his heart. As the evening continued, their conversations became more personal. They talked about family, dreams, future goals, the kind of projects they wanted to work on, the lives they hoped to build.
“What about you?” Ohm asked.
“What about me?”
“What do you want the most?”
Por looked at him. The honest answer sat on the tip of his tongue.
You.
Instead, he smiled. “I want to be happy.”
Ohm nodded thoughtfully. “That’s a good answer.”
“What about you?”
The smile that appeared on Ohm’s face was softer than before. “I want someone who’ll stay.”
Something twisted painfully inside Por’s chest, not because he knows what it is about but because he knows who it is for.
--
The date ended far too quickly. As they prepared to leave, Ohm lightly bumped their shoulders together.
“I’m glad you picked me.”
Por’s heart skipped. “Really?”
“Yeah.” Ohm smiled. “It was fun.”
--
That night Por barely slept. He replayed every conversation.
Every smile.
Every glance.
For the first time since meeting Ohm, he allowed himself to hope.
The next day destroyed that hope.
--
The end if day two introduced new arrivals and among them were Jimmy and Teetee. Unlike everyone else, Por already knew Teetee. They had worked together before they had acted as lovers for Your Sky series. There was already familiarity between them that made introductions unnecessary.
Teetee greeted him with his usual easy smile "Hello P'Por" and immediately noticed something different about him.
Por seemed happier than usual. Lighter. Almost glowing. Teetee couldn’t figure out why.
Not yet.
The answer revealed itself the moment Jimmy entered. The atmosphere around Ohm changed instantly.
His face brightened.
His posture relaxed.
The smile he gave Jimmy carried a familiarity that immediately caught Por’s attention. Of course they already knew each other. Everyone knew they had filmed The Next Prince trailer together. Everyone knew they were already being promoted as a pairing.
Still, seeing it in person felt different. Painfully different.
Por watched as Jimmy walked directly toward Ohm. Watched them greet each other with effortless comfort. Watched them laugh over inside jokes nobody else understood.
The realization settled heavily in his chest. This was the person Ohm had talked about. The person who stayed. The person already occupying the place Por dreamed of having.
The rest of the day passed in a blur. Again and again, Por found his gaze drifting toward them.
Sometimes they sat together.
Sometimes they stood together.
Sometimes they simply shared looks across the room that spoke volumes.
Every moment chipped away at the fragile hope Por had built after their date.
--
Across the room, Teetee noticed everything.
He noticed the way Por’s eyes constantly searched for Ohm.
He noticed how quickly those same eyes dimmed whenever Jimmy appeared.
He noticed the sadness hidden behind every smile.
Most importantly, he noticed that Por never seemed aware of any of it.
As filming continued, Teetee found himself paying more attention.
Watching.
Observing.
Trying to understand.
Then one afternoon he finally caught Por staring. Ohm and Jimmy stood together near the practice area, laughing about something neither of them could contain. Por watched them from afar his expression was heartbreakingly soft. The kind of expression people wore when looking at something they loved.
Something they could never have.
For a brief moment, Teetee felt his chest tighten.
Not because of Ohm.
Not because of Jimmy.
But because of Por.
Because Por looked so devastatingly lonely.
--
The feeling lingered long after filming ended. That evening, Por locked himself inside a restroom after another exhausting day. He splashed water onto his face and stared at his reflection. The exhaustion looking back at him felt older than it should have.
A sudden cough interrupted his thoughts.
Then another.
Then another.
Pain exploded through his chest.
Por doubled over the sink, struggling to breathe. When the coughing finally stopped, something soft rested against the porcelain.
A white carnation petal.
Then another.
And another.
His hands trembled.
His entire body went cold.
He stared at the flowers while the terrible truth settled into his heart.
Outside the restroom, life continued normally. Laughter echoed through hallways.
Friends talked.
Schedules continued.
Nobody knew that Por’s life had just changed forever.
Nobody knew that impossible love had already begun killing him.
And nobody knew that this was only the beginning of a tragedy that would eventually consume far more than one heart.
