Work Text:
'Luc love, are you here?' The door to the salon opened with a chime, allowing Katianna to walk inside.
'Hi Kat, I'm over here come into the back!'
'Hi darling, I believe you need a top up soon right?'
Luc looked over her shoulder, away from the mirror she had been working into, nodding at her love before she turning back to the mirror. Continuing to work on her hair, changing her pastel pink hair into a dark purple.
'Come over to me,' Kat moved her neck to the side, leaving it open for her Luc.
Luc rolled her eyes, moving to her loves neck she bit down and began to drink her vitae, gulping down the mouthfuls. It was always a struggle to pull away from Kat once she started drinking from her, it was so much more flavourful than any kind she had ever drank from before. She savoured these moments every month, leaning closer to Katianna's side and letting her body relax against her side. She felt a hand move to her neck and she let herself pull away, letting herself be pulled away she stood for a moment before moving. Dragging Kat out of the back room and into the main salon, forcing her to sit on the waiting couch with her.
'You've been gone a while huh?'
'I'm so sorry darling, I had no time to visit last month there were some issues in my territory. It wont happen again I promise.'
'Its alright love, I did miss you and well, I never got to have any of you last month.' Luc paused, looking out the window, she felt her skin warming involutarily, the feeling of life rushing back to her. 'I haven't felt like that in so long, it was different. It felt like I was missing something.'
Kat lay a hand against Luc, brushing through her hair. 'Don't worry, its normal to feel that way when you miss a month of a sire's vitae love. Your body isn't used to not having my vitae, it was just some of… You were missing me.'
'Okay, sure… When can Jade and Katie come back to the salon? You said a month and its been that long. I can feed them if you want.' She pushed her head back into Kat's hand, leaning it against her arm.
'I missed you.' Kat smiled to herself, looking down to Luc. 'You can have them back after their third time ingesting your vitae, you remember when we did that?'
'Only bits, my memory before you turned me is patchy, its like I'm looking back on an untuned radio station.'
'I forgot sorry darling, the embrace is different for everyone… I wish you didn't forget the time we had before, you were a shining light, a prize I knew I had to have.'
'Thanks love, I apriciate the sentiment.' Luc sat up, turning to look Kat in the eyes, a sudden excitement filling her. 'Can you tell me about when we first met?'
'Sure, it was in that, you know that horrible bar that you've always loved. That one.' She broke away from Luc's eye contact, choosing a point outside the window—the streetlight—to stare at. 'I had been in there meeting with an associate, its a place no one expects our clan to choose to meet. You came in when we were leaving, with a girl, do you remember her at all?'
'Not really, was it around the time that I was coming to terms with things?'
'Yeah, I think so darling. You and her were talking quietly and I just slipped away from Mich to come over to you and her, mainly you. It was a casual thing, we exchanged numbers, no blood or anything. I knew you were going to be a good dragon from that first meeting.'
'And I'm sure I knew how beautiful you are from our first time seeing eachother too.' Luc reached over, pulling Kat down into a light kiss on the lips before leaning closer. Trapping Kat even further beneath her.
'I'm sure you did too,' Kat began gently pushing Luc from under her, as though she was trying not to disturb a cat. 'I love you darling, I do need to leave though. I promise I'll be back sooner this time. How about tomorrow? Bring your two girls over to my haven, we can get them started on coming back to work.'
'Sure love, I love you too. See you tomorrow.' Luc glanced to the door which Kat had just left, the chimes jingling that awkward tune alerting her to the open door once more.
