"Roll to suck his dick."
"What!? You can't just—"
"I roll to suck his dick."
Andy, the supposedly courageous Red Knight that was currently abusing his charisma stat to lie his way into a private building, is going head to head with the Black Mage that was forcibly paired up with him on a shoddy prop hunt on the other side of the table. Aselus's expression is dripping with exasperation, her fingers tangled and knotted deep into her hair— Lane can see why he talks with her so often now, this is hilarious.
"Twenty!"
"That's it! I'm done— nope! I'm leaving!"
The table explodes into laughter as she clambers out of her chair and down the hall, Andy running and calling right after her through stifled snickering.
"—no, please, Sel, I'm sorry, no—"
She forgot her anxiety pen, huh, she notes the curio sat next to her empty glass of water. I'll have to return it to her at some point.
Frihet chuckles under her breath, turning to her. "How do you think they got caught with each-other?"
"I have just as much of an idea as you do," Lane shrugs, setting the trifold down and leaning her face into her palm. "He's never talked much. He's really only friends with the people he is because of me, and he more-so knows of most of them, rather than knows them. Dunno how she managed to get him to crack."
"Me neither," she shakes her head, "she talks to people, but never really talks with them outside of some special..." she wildly waves her hand, "circumstance junk. You'd have to ask her about the criteria, I haven't learned yet."
Kate silently leaves her chair un-pushed as she leaves, and Lane scowls a little at it. "I don't think it matters. It's just entertaining to see what's considered casual to them. Is this the, uh, the norm?"
"Yes, yes it is," Frihet rubs at her eyes, "I never hear the end of it. Are we continuing after they come back, or..."
"Good one." She gives Lane a questioning side-eye. "Okay, no, they don't ever come back in the first place. They're probably in the living room right now, here, let me..."
She climbs out of her chair— and pushes it in, unlike some people— and jogs down the hall with Frihet behind her. She can just barely make out their voices from behind the wall closest to the couch.
Snff... snff... "—s over, this is dumb."
"Oh, c'mon dude, don' cry," he wetly laughs under his breath, "you're gonna make me cry too. C'mere, you."
Frihet's brows furrow, and she whispers, "do you think we're interrupting something?"
Lane winces and slams a hand over her mouth, forcing her head down.
He groans. "Fuck off, you two, I can hear you!"
"Book it!"
"Oh SHIT—"
