Work Text:
Osgood figured that Kate only knew classical and Romance languages. It made sense in her head, she only tended to attend European summits and that she must have gone through language training when she had two young children so it made sense she’d skipped some. Perhaps she’d skipped languages the didn’t use the same alphabet.
Osgood leans against Kate in the transport vehicle. Kate could die, so could she. She needs to say something and she looks down.
“Я не могу без тебя жить, Кейт. Надеюсь, мы оба выберемся из этого живыми. Хотел бы я сказать это по-английски, но мне не хватает смелости.” She leans against Kate.
“Хотите сказать что-нибудь ещё?” Kate places her arm around her. She looks at Osgoods wide eyes. “I’m the leader of a worldwide organisation, where do you think my language skills stop, моя любовь?” Osgood flushes and Kate laughs. “We’ll talk when we come back alive.”
“Alright.” Osgood takes a breath as they roll over a bumpy part of the road and Kate’s arm pulls her closer, she feels totally and utterly safe.
