The kitchen smelled wonderful. The scent of strawberries, vanilla, cream, and sugar wafting through the air created a pleasant aroma. With the slightest hint of a breeze gently warming your face, you felt like you were in heaven. After hours of effort, you knew this cake was going to be perfect, and you couldn’t wait to surprise Valko with it.
“Whatcha doing, pup?” A playful voice exclaimed in your ear while strong hands slid around you and gripped you into a tight hug from behind. You jumped and squealed in shock. Valko?!
“Oh my god, Valko, you scared me!! What are you even doing here?” Your head wheeled around to check your surroundings. You could have sworn you locked the door after returning from grocery shopping for ingredients. However, your confusion was soon answered when you turned your head and found the living room window wide open. Valko nuzzled into your neck, not so subtly inhaling your scent. Even though you wanted to be upset, you could hardly do more than roll your eyes and lean into his touch.
“I let myself in. You weren’t responding to my texts,” he explained, his pout very evident from his tone of voice.
You spun around in his arms to face him, though he refused to loosen his grip on you. “Did you ever consider that I was busy? Here, try this,” you say while holding a finger smothered in cake batter up to his mouth. He grinned widely with his sharp canines on full display and cocked his eyebrow as he moved to suck the batter off your finger. A low growl emerged from his throat once he tasted the batter and you rolled your eyes, playfully pushing him away.
“What?” he complained. “It was just really good.”
“Sureee. I’m too busy for your horny brain, now help me or get away,” you joke and turn around to continue mixing the cake batter.
“Fine, whatever you say, pup,” he relented, going back to nuzzling your neck. “It really is delicious though. What are you making?” He subtly tried to dip his finger into the mixing bowl before you swat him away laughing.
“Well since you just couldn’t wait a few more hours to see me, I guess I have to spoil it now. I was making you a surprise birthday cake!”
Valko’s tail immediately started wagging, hitting the cabinets behind you and he squeezed you to him even tighter. “Thank you,” he mumbled into your hair, sounding so touched and genuine you couldn’t help but turn around to kiss him. Your lips found his softly. These moments with Valko were always your favorite. The moments where you could really savor it and commit all of him to memory. His lips were soft against yours, his mouth tasting of sweet vanilla from the batter.
He melted into your kiss, arms pulling you impossibly closer until your bodies were touching at every point, yet it still didn’t feel close enough. You wrapped your arms around Valko’s neck, fingers running through his soft hair until they reached the furry tufts of his ears. Smiling softly into the kiss, you scratched at the base of his ears, knowing he was extra sensitive there. Valko whined into your mouth and nipped gently at your lips before deepening the kiss. His mouth and tongue hypnotized you. You felt weak at the knees and could feel the butterflies forming in your stomach. That fluttering feeling travelled lower… and lower. This was the effect he had on you.
Enraptured in him, his size, his scent, his soft lips, you didn’t even notice his slowly sneaking hand until it was too late and batter had been smeared across your cheek. You pulled away from the kiss with a gasp. It felt like a shock ran through you, breaking your heavenly dream and bringing you back to the real world. You stared at him incredulously. Valko didn’t even have the nerve to look sorry, he just smirked back at you trying to hold in a laugh. Before you could shove him away, he gripped your face gently but firmly, squishing your cheeks together. He leaned in close and licked the batter off your cheek.
You felt your face flush immediately, both with embarrassment and arousal. This teasing side of Valko always had this effect on you. It always had you blushing like a virgin and he loved to take advantage of it. You spun him around before he could see how red you’d become and began shoving him out of the kitchen. Valko was laughing loudly now, almost doubling over from hysterics. His bulky, muscular frame was making it impossible for you to actually push him away, but the embarrassment flooding your system gave you strength you didn’t realize you had. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” he shouted through the laughter. “You’re just so cute when you’re flustered, I couldn’t help it!”
“Nope! It’s too late for apologies now, you are banned from this kitchen until I’m done!” You were still desperately trying to hide your blushing cheeks from him, but he caught you off guard one last time. He spun around, hand coming up to gently rest on your throat as he kisses you once tenderly. Then he saunters off into the living room and plops down on the couch.
“I’ll be a good boy and wait here.”
