The Mighty Morphing…Hostage?!?!

Summary:

“Like it?” Sabertooth asks sarcastically.

“That whole shit show back at the lab was almost worth it. It got me a pretty good souvenir.” Sabertooth says as he forces the plane door closed.

“Yeah no sorry. Doesn’t go with my outfit. Plus inhibitors are way too mainstream nowadays you should ask for a refund.” Morph gives up pulling at the collar. They get back on their feet with a pained grunt while making sure to give their captor a wide berth.

“The collar ain’t the souvenir I was talking about.”

Oh.

Freak.

Chapter 1: Chapter one

Chapter Text

Morph awakens with a start as their stolen plane, probably evil, plane lands.

Can a plane be evil just by association? They’re gonna go out on a limb and say yes.

Morph stretches trying to shake off some of the exhaustion. Not that it worked. After the day they just had they’ll probably need to sleep for a week to even begin to recover.

Oh.

Right.

They day they just had.

The bliss of forgetfulness that sleep was kind enough to grant him slips away as they begin to recall everything that had happened.

The deaths, the fighting, the lies.

Scratch the previous statement they actually needed to sleep for two weeks.

With a heavy sigh they turn around. They can’t exactly avoid Logan forever considering they live together and are on the same team. Well they could definitely try but honestly Morph was just tired.

It was probably best to rip this bandaid off early.

Despite the fact that the wounds underneath said metaphorical bandaid are in no way healed and are probably going to haunt them until they die but whatevs.

They turned around and to no one’s surprise Logan was glaring out the window as if it personally offended him and making no eye contact with anybody.

Shocker.

What was surprising was Sabertooth. He seemed to be making a little too much eye contact with Morph.

Once their eyes met Sabertooth smirked and winked while blowing them a kiss.

Morph rolled their eyes.

Wait they don’t have pupils Sabertooth probably couldn’t tell. Their displeasure must be known. They shapeshifted some pupils and rolled their eyes again.

There perfect.

Get dissed loser.

“Well I believe that is enough sulking yes?” Yuriko was the first to break the thick silence that had permeated the plane throughout the entire ride back.
“I don’t know about you all but I do have other plans for today so I will be taking my leave.”

“Bye Yuriko. So glad we could trauma bond together. Let’s do brunch.” Morph says, gaining no reply as the woman stalks out of the plane.

“We’re totally friends.” They affirm to no one in particular.

“Sure you are bub.” Wolverine says, finally breaking his silence.

Morph wants to reply with something funny and sarcastic but honestly they’re kinda just not in the mood. So they just let the silence hang forcing Logan to be the one who speaks first.

“We should get back to the others.” Logan states.

“Yep.”

“Right.”

Logan waits awkwardly for a moment before letting out a short grunt and heading towards the exit.

“Leaving so soon?” Sabertooth says directly into Morph's ear, his breath causing a shiver to run up their spine.

They quickly jump away from him. “Whoa. Dude my bubble. You’re popping it.”

Sabertooth smirks at their reaction.

“Anyways yeah, we got places to be world ended threats to stop. Y’know, the usual.” Morph says.

“Don’t I know it. You X-men are always out mucking around.” The larger man grunts. “I’m betting you don’t have time to do me a quick favor? Considering I just busted my ass getting the runt his adamantium shit back together.”

“Uh. I mean maybe?”

“By maybe they mean no. We got shit to do.” Wolverine snarls.

Morph can’t help but feel irritated. Here he was immediately denying the man help as if he hadn’t just lied to everybody’s faces mere hours ago so they would help him.

Morph took a deep breath. Logically they knew Logan was right. Just because they were upset with him right now doesn’t mean they can deny that he’s right.

They’re not denying that he’s being a bitch about it.

“Yeah sorry flea bag. Not that we don’t appreciate it, but we’re gonna have to take a rain check on that favor.”

Sabertooths smirk quickly turns into a snarl matching Wolverines. Suddenly morph isn’t a big fan of how close they are standing to him. Nor are they a fan of how far away Logan seems to be.

“That’s too bad. Good thing I wasn’t really asking.”

“What-” before Morph could finish Sabertooth pulled something out from behind his back and lunged. Everything moved too quickly and before they had a chance to react they found themselves on the floor on the plane with Sabertooths hand around their neck and the feeling of cold metal locking in place sent a chill throughout them.

An inhibitor collar?! Where the hell was he even keeping that? Up his ass? Actually, ew. They shouldn’t have thought about that while it was actively touching their skin.

They hear Logan shout behind them but his eyes are focused on the man above him as his face splits into a cruel grin.

“Don’t move runt!” Sabertooth demands yanking Morph up by their neck as if to show off his prize.

“One more move and putty boys getting the same treatment as the bear. I wonder how hard I have to squeeze before their pretty head pops!”

“Lo…gan..” Morph wheezes as Sabertooth begins to make good on his threat and squeeze. They try desperately to pull the hand off to no avail.

Wolverine stops in his tracks. He growls frustratedly before asking. “What the hell do you want?!”

The grip on their neck loosens and they gasp for air.

Sabertooth grins casually leaning his hand against the seat Morph had been sleeping so peacefully in just moments before.

“I want you off this plane.” With a quick movement he throws Morph away causing Wolverine to look towards the back of the plane where they landed in a very painful heap.

While he was distracted Sabertooth ripped the seat out of the ground and hurled towards Wolverine hitting the man square in the chest. Caught off guard the impact sent him hurtling out of the open door behind him. He slams into the ground with a loud thud.

Meanwhile Morph was recovering from their very unpleasant trip to the back of the plane. Their vision was spinning as they forced themself to sit up. Almost instinctively they raised their hands to their neck and gripped the collar desperately trying to pull it off.

As if that ever worked.

“Like it?” Sabertooth asks sarcastically.

“That whole shitshow back at the lab was almost worth it.

Oh.

Freak.

Just as morph managed to steady themself they were suddenly knocked down once again as the plane suddenly lifted off from the ground.

Oh god.

He was actually being kidnapped.

AGAIN.

This is cool. It’s fine actually he totally wasn’t having a trauma induced panic attack right now.

There was a sickening thump against the metal of the plane as it began its flight to who knows where. Oh god they’re going to a secondary location. They hate secondary locations. Nothing good ever happens at the secondary location.

That thump was probably Logan throwing himself at the plane with wild abandon and then proceeded to fall off said plane. He tries to jump on planes way too often and it almost never works. He always ends up falling off and slamming back into the ground which will definitely set back their rescue a bit while Logan pieces his bones back together. Morph swears they can hear him screaming bloody murder from the ground below.

Speaking of rescue they should probably get a head start on that.

They pull out their phone as quickly as they can and begin frantically texting the first person in their contact list. Beast was smart, he could get them out of this.

Their hands were shaking so bad that their text ended up being something like “kinaap elps now” but maybe that would get the point across.

At least it would have if they had ever gotten the chance to send it.

What actually ended up happening was Sabertooth knocking the phone out of their hand and crushing it with his foot.

Man. They probably don’t even have insurance anymore with how long they were gone.

They whip their head up to stare at the man in shock.

They forgot the plane had an auto pilot.

“Aw. Calling for help so soon baby? You wound me.” Sabertooth sneers.

Morph scrambled back as they hop back on to their feet. They were gonna give this guy some real wounds to worry about. They were a fucking X-man they weren’t just going to sit around and get kidnapped without a fight.

They wound up their foot and sent a spinning kick towards Sabertooths head which the man didn’t even bother to dodge. He just let the attack hit him with a shit eating grin on his face.

Damn it was like a pebble hitting a mountain and the bastard knew it.

Morph backed up and ran towards the wall of the plane using it at leverage to leapt onto the man’s shoulders using their thighs to attempt to strangle the man’s bulging neck.

Also not that effective.

“Not the way I was planning on having your legs around me.”

Ew.

Morph jams their fingers into his eyes.

That finally got the man to react as he howled in pain. Morph only has a moment to revel in the satisfaction before they were being thrown off and slammed into the wall once again.

Ok, in retrospect maybe it wasn’t the best idea to start a fight with the captor three times their size with no powers in a plane flying thousands of feet in the air.

Hindsight really is twenty-twenty.

Their heart sinks to their stomach as Sabertooth recovers and begins to ominously stalk towards them.

“Ok. So any chance you’re willing to talk this out?” Morph asks desperately as they put their hands up as if that could do anything against the absolute behemoth heading towards them.

“Sorry sweetheart. I think I’ve had enough playing nice for today.” He snarls.

Morph scoots away as far as he can before their back hits the wall. “Please what do you even want with me?!”

When in doubt, distract. Evil bitches love a good monologue.

“Oh I can think of a lot of ways I want you, but that’s gonna have to wait. Business before pleasure and all that.” Sabertooth grins.

Morph cringes back into the wall even further at the man’s implication but manages to choke the words out of their throat.

“B-business? What kind of business?” They ask.

“Remember that little favor I was talking about?” He asks.

“I thought kicking Logan out of the plane was the favor?”

“No, that was just for fun. Ya see I need Logan to get me something and I figure why not have a little fun getting him to do it.” As he finishes he hoists Morph back to their feet.

“So what I’m just…a hostage? To make Logan do whatever you want?” They ask.

“Pretty much.”

With that Morph finds themself thrown roughly over the man’s shoulder as he takes them back towards the front of the plane and unceremoniously dumps them into the copilot seat.

They don’t even have time to blink before Sabertooth presses a button and manacles shoot out from the chair attaching to their arms and legs.

“Ok, we just got this plane how the fuck did you know what button to press?”

“Read the manual on the flight here.”

“…You can read?”

Sabertooth snorts, ignoring the jab as he sits down in the captain's seat and begins flying the plane manually.

After a few minutes of tense silence in which Morph was definitely NOT pouting Sabertooth finally speaks.

“What’s Wolverine's number?”

“…What?”

“Did I hit you too hard? Tell me his phone number.” Sabertooth demands.

“Ok, even if I did have it memorized, why would I tell you?” They totally do have it memorized but they’re not gonna tell him that.

Just by the disbelief on Sabertooth's face they had a feeling that he already knew.

“Ok. Yeah whatever I know it. My point still stands, why would I give it to you?” They snap.

“Two reasons. The sooner the runt helps me the sooner you two can go back to pathetically dancing around one another and jacking off every one else in your little club.”

Gross. Horrible imagery was just put into their head.

“Two I’ve always been curious whether or not that weird little body of yours had organs. You wouldn’t believe how long I can keep you alive while I take my time inspecting each one of them.”

Morph is going to throw up.

“Tell me the number.” Sabertooth demands again all humor suddenly devoid from his voice.

Morph can’t help but hate themself as they shakily rattle off the series of numbers to Logan’s phone.

They mentally apologized to Logan in their head but they really didn’t need anymore madmen digging around through their organs.

After each number Sabertooth presses the corresponding button on the plane's phone line and within a moment morph hears a ringing besides the one in their ears.

Soon that achingly familiar voice was growling as he so often does as he answered the phone.

“Who is this?! I’m kind of fucking busy right now.” He barks.

“Aw, too busy for your old friend?” Sabertooth taunts.

Wolverine is silent for a moment before he speaks again, almost deadly calm. “What do you want?”

Sabertooth laughs. “Now that’s more like it short stuff. Now you stay quiet and listen to orders. I’m sending you a location. You better show up and it better be alone. Any sign of one of your little X-freaks and I’m turning your little toy into a big puddle.”

“Got it.” Logan practically hisses.

“Good boy.”

Oh they have definitely fucked.

Not information that Morph would’ve liked to know.

Sabertooth presses another series of buttons which presumably sends Logan the mystery location of wherever Morph is probably getting murdered.

“Now. Wasn’t that easy? We’ll see you there in a couple of hours. Say goodbye Morph.”

Morph glared.

Sabertooth just reaches a hand over and crushes Morph arm with a squeeze of his hand.

They can’t help but let out a scream as the pain hits them. He can hear Logan yelling their name as their vision begins to go spotty due to the pain.

“Say goodbye Morph.” Sabertooth says again.

“…G…goodbye Logan. If you don’t save me I’ll kill you.”

“Good enough.” Without giving Logan the chance to answer, Sabertooth ends the call.

“Wasn’t that fun?” He asks.

“I fucking hate you.” Morph responds.

“Aw don’t worry sweetheart. We’ve got plenty of time to change your tune.” Sabertooth laughs. “Why don’t ya sleep on it.”

“Not tired.” As if they would fall asleep around this manic.

Ok well.

As if they would do it a second time.

“That’s alright. I found something else in the manual that’ll help.”

Morph hates that manual.

Sabertooth presses another button and suddenly a machine lowers directly into Morph's face and sprays them with some sort of gas.

Their last thought before slipping into unconsciousness was

‘I knew this plane was evil’

And then there was nothing.
