Curiosity killed the cat. Well, it doesn't apply to moths!

Summary:

Mothxian being the lively and the curious moth he is, decided to approach the tree where the scary Spiderji resides despite being warned of chances of being stuck to a web and being devoured.

Well curiosity killed the cat. And now he's stuck on a web and about to be devoured by a spider!!!

Notes:

So like just to clarify some thing! Wwx's body looks like a human but with moth's trait while lwj, his upper body human while lower body spider. And yes his dihh hangs in front, between his front legs.

I struggle so hard to write this uwhwidbiwbwiwj2

I think i might have even confused myself mid way 😭

Work Text:

Wei Wuxian was, without a doubt, the cutest, most adventurous little moth in the entire meadow. While most moths spent their nights fluttering mindlessly toward candles, Wei Wuxian preferred clinging to the colorful fluttering swarm of the Jiang butterflies.

He considered himself an honorary butterfly, even if Jiang Cheng constantly tried to swat him away with a bright purple wing.

"Stop hovering over my antenna, Wei Wuxian!" Jiang Cheng snapped, fluttering agitatedly over a lotus leaf. "And stop fluttering around like you don't have a care in the world!"

"Aww, Jiang Cheng, you're just jealous of my fuzzy antennae," Wei Wuxian teased, doing a dramatic loop de loop in the air before landing beside Jiang Yanli, who gently adjusted her lovely butterfly wings and smiled at him.

"A-Xian," Yanli warned softly, sipping a drop of sweet nectar. "You must be careful today. We are close to the Eastern border."

"The Eastern border?" Wei Wuxian tilted his head, his fluffy moth chest puffing up with excitement. "You mean...the tree?"

"Yes, the Giant Dark Tree," Jiang Cheng grumbled, stepping between Wei Wuxian and the direction of the woods. "And don't you dare get any stupid ideas. Everyone knows the legend. If you wander anywhere near it, you'll get stuck in the thick, tangled webs surrounding the trunk. And then..."

"...and then the scary spider devours you!" Wei Wuxian gasped playfully, wriggling his tiny insect feet. "A giant, terrifying spider who lives all by himself in the dark!"

"It’s not a joke!" Jiang Cheng buzzed angrily. "He eats reckless moths like you for breakfast!"

"Now, now," Yanli soothed, though her expression was serious. "A-Xian, promise us you won't go near it. The webs are inescapable."

"I promise, I promise!" Wei Wuxian laughed.

Which is why, the moment the Jiang butterflies turned their backs to feast on a fresh batch of nectar, Wei Wuxian flew straight toward the Giant Dark Tree.

Curiosity killed the cat, as the saying went, but Wei Wuxian was a moth, and surely moths had better luck! Besides, how terrifying could one spider really be? He just wanted to take a quick peek at the dark, mysterious branches.

The air grew cool and silent as he fluttered under the thick canopy. Sunlight faded, replaced by eerie shadows. Overhead, silvery strands of silk glittered unnaturally in the dim light.

"Wow," Wei Wuxian murmured, hovering close to a massive, beautifully spun web. "Look at the craftsmansh-WHOA!"

A sudden breeze knocked him off balance. Wei Wuxian flapped frantically, but his powdery wing brushed against a stray strand of thread.

Zap.

"Oh, sticky!" Wei Wuxian muttered. He gave a firm tug. He didn't budge. He tried to kick off with his legs, only to get those stuck too. "Uh oh. Okay, don't panic. Just a little wiggle..."

He wiggled. He squirmed. He spun in a tiny circle. Within ten seconds, Wei Wuxian had managed to wrap himself into a tight, fuzzy, helpless moth burrito right in the middle of the web.

"Jiang Cheng was right," Wei Wuxian wheezed, suspended upside down. "I am never letting him hear the end of-"

The silk vibration thrummed.

Thrum, thrum, thrum.

Wei Wuxian froze.

He's a cooked and burned moth, is he?

From the shadows of the giant tree trunk, a pristine, snow white spider emerged.

The spider wasn't a messy, horrifying monster, he was breathtakingly huge, imposing, and impossibly elegant, with striking golden eyes and an aura of cold, silent authority.

He had lived alone in these woods, completely undisturbed...until now.

Lan Wangji stared at him in absolute silence.

He didn't move. He didn't twitch a pedipalp. He didn't even shift his weight. His golden eyes glinting like polished amber and gleaming in the dark, just fixed onto the tangled moth with an unblinking, terrifying intensity.

He was just standing there. Doing absolutely nothing.

And somehow, that made Wei Wuxian squirm even more.

"Uh..." Wei Wuxian squirmed, his fuzzy little legs kicking uselessly against the thick, silvery silk. "Mister Spider? Big guy? You, ah...you mind saying something? Or, you know, making a menacing screech? The quiet judgment is actually way scarier than being eaten, not gonna lie."

Lan Wangji didn't screech. He didn't move an inch. He remained completely motionless, a towering, pristine, snow white monolith hovering directly over him.

The silence stretched so long that Wei Wuxian could hear the gentle hum of his own tiny moth heart beating 'thump thump thump' against his chest. The stillness was suffocating.

"Okay, look!" Wei Wuxian babbled, wriggling upside down like a frantic white dumpling. "If you're trying to figure out how to eat me, I should warn you, moths are mostly fluff! Powder and fluff! Zero substance. Highly disappointing meal! A butterfly would be way juicier, though if you touch my brother Jiang Cheng he will literally sting you with his bad attitude-"

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of agonizing silence, Lan Wangji took a single, deliberate step closer. His massive, elegant body leaned in until his glowing golden eyes were level with Wei Wuxian’s wide, dark moth eyes.

A low, deep, rumbling vibration echoed straight through the silk web.

“Are you mated, moth?”

Wei Wuxian froze mid wiggle. His fuzzy antennae twitched in pure shock. "I-what?!"

Lan Wangji didn't answer. Slowly, with impossible precision and delicacy, he used the tip of one long, razor sharp white leg to snip the silk threads binding Wei Wuxian's wings. But instead of letting the moth flutter free, Lan Wangji gently scooped him up into his arms, holding the tiny moth firmly and securely against his chest.

He had zero intention of letting this ridiculously cute, noisy little moth fly away.

"Hey! Wait a minute!" Wei Wuxian squeaked, his powdery wings fluttering uselessly against Lan Wangji’s smooth carapace as the spider held him close. "Is this a kidnapping?! First you ask me my relationship status, and now I'm a captive moth?!"

Lan Wangji simply tucked his legs around Wei Wuxian, keeping him warm and completely trapped, before letting out a soft, deep hum through the wood.

“Mine now.”

Wei Wuxian blinked his big moth eyes, his fluffy cheeks dusting with heat under all that moth fuzz. "Mine?! I haven't even told my siblings where I am! Jiang Cheng is going to have a heart attack!"

"Do not care," Lan Wangji grumbled softly, the vibration sending tiny static shocks through Wei Wuxian's fuzzy antennae. He shifted, pulling the little moth deeper into the cozy shadow of his hollowed out bark den.

"You do not care?!" Wei Wuxian gasped, wriggling like an oversized, dusty cotton ball in Lan Wangji's grip. "He's purple! He vibrates when he's angry! If he finds out a giant, pristine spider stole his favorite honorary butterfly, he's going to lead a full scale butterfly assault on your tree! Though, honestly, you'd probably just stare at them until they got uncomfortable and left."

Lan Wangji didn't bother replying. Instead, he meticulously began grooming a stray thread of web off Wei Wuxian’s left wing with painstaking, absurdly delicate precision.

Wei Wuxian melted just a tiny bit against the spider's warm, surprisingly velvety carapace, his wings doing a reluctant, pleased little flutter. "Okay, fine, your personal spa service is a five-star experience, I'll give you that. But what am I supposed to eat here? Moths need nectar, Lan Zhan! Sweet, sticky nectar! Not whatever scary spider stuff you keep in your pantry!"

Lan Wangji paused. His golden eyes blinked slowly, down at the chatterbox tucked against his chest. Without a word, he reached into a small, shadowed crevice of the tree hollow with his free leg and retrieved a hollowed-out acorn cap.

It was brimming with fresh, crystal-clear morning dew mixed with sweet wild honeysuckle.

Wei Wuxian’s eyes went wide. "Wait. You...you kept nectar in your tree? Why would a terrifying carnivorous predator have nectar?!"

Lan Wangji nudged the acorn cap toward Wei Wuxian's snout. "Quiet. Eat."

"You prepared a snack for me?!" Wei Wuxian squeaked, his heart doing a ridiculous, traitorous somersault. He leaned down and dipped his proboscis into the sweet liquid, humming in sheer delight. "Oh wow. Okay, listen, if kidnapping comes with customized gourmet meals, I might actually have to reevaluate my whole stance on captivity."

Lan Wangji let out a low, satisfied hum that vibrated straight through the wood, settling himself down like a massive, gleaming snow mountain around his newly claimed, highly talkative little prize.

"Mn. My mate needs to be energized in order to consummate our mating."

Wei Wuxian nearly choked on his honeysuckle dew, his proboscis whipping back so fast he almost spilled the acorn cap.

"Consum-WHAT?!" Wei Wuxian squeaked, his fuzzy antennae standing straight up in pure, unadulterated panic. His dusty wings flapped in a frantic blur against Lan Wangji’s massive chest. "Big guy! Mister Spider! We've known each other for 10 minutes! 10! Minutes! You haven't even taken me to see a nice shiny porch light yet! I don't even know your name???"

Lan Wangji didn't budge. He simply lowered his head, his glowing golden eyes narrowing with calm, immovable certainty as he tucked his front legs even closer around the squirming moth burrito.

"Lan Wangji, but call me Lan Zhan since we are to be mated." the giant spider hummed, the deep vibration resonating right through Wei Wuxian’s belly. "We are bonded now. You entered my web. You are unmated. You drank my nectar. And now we are to be mated."

"I drank the nectar because you nudged it into my face!" Wei Wuxian wailed, wriggling hopelessly against the warm, velvety white carapace. "That's entrapment! Is this how spiders court people?! You trap them, stare at them aggressively, give them a juice box, and decide you're married?!"

"Mn," Lan Wangji rumbled softly. "Standard procedure."

"Standard procedure?!" Wei Wuxian’s fluffy moth cheeks burned a furious scarlet under all his fuzz. "You absolute menace! Lan Wangji-Lan Zhan! I am a free spirited moth! A wild creature of the night! You can't just-hey, stop brushing my wing like that, it's distracting! As I was saying, you can't just claim me!"

"Why not? Is this one not up to Wei Ying's standard?"

"No! It's not like that at all!" Wei Wuxian squeaked, his wings flapping in a panicked blur. Then he froze mid-flap, his fuzzy antennae twitching erratically as the words finally registered. "Wait... Wei Ying? How do you know my name?!"

Lan Wangji entirely ignored the question. His eight glowing golden eyes softened with a dangerous, quiet intensity as he leaned his massive head down, his smooth porcelain carapace pressing gently against Wei Wuxian’s velvety chest.

"Does Wei Ying think this one cannot satisfy him?" Lan Wangji hummed softly, the ultra-low frequency sending electric shimmers straight down Wei Wuxian’s spine.

"L-Lan Zhan!" Wei Wuxian’s entire face flushed an outrageously bright crimson underneath all his moth fluff. "That is-you can't just drop my real name AND ask me something so shameless in the same breath! First of all, answer my question! How do you know who I am?!"

"I have watched you," Lan Wangji admitted simply, his voice a smooth, possessive rumble. "Every night. Fluttering near the border."

Wei Wuxian blinked his wide moth eyes, utterly speechless for a whole two seconds. "You've been stalking me from your scary dark tree?!"

"Observing," Lan Wangji corrected, completely unbothered. He shifted his long, snow white legs, drawing Wei Wuxian even tighter into the cozy hollow of his chest until the little moth was practically buried in the spider's chest. "Waiting until you were close enough."

"You set up a trap for me!" Wei Wuxian accused, though his lower legs were traitorously wrapping around Lan Wangji's leg for support because the spider's warm chest was absurdly comfortable. "You knew I wouldn't be able to resist taking a look!"

"Mn," Lan Wangji rumbled, a trace of deep, smug satisfaction in his tone. "And now Wei Ying is here. In my web, in my arms."

He gently nuzzled the top of Wei Wuxian’s head between his twitching antennae, causing the little moth to let out an embarrassing, tiny squeak.

"Lan Zhan..." Wei Wuxian groaned, melting just a little bit more against the giant predator. "You are terribly calculated for a spider who acts like he doesn't care about anything. What about my question?! What about my siblings?!"

"Answer mine first," Lan Wangji countered, his golden eyes fixing onto Wei Wuxian with absolute, immovable intent. "Does Wei Ying doubt my ability to satisfy my mate?"

Wei Wuxian buried his red face directly into Lan Wangji's chest, letting out a muffled scream. "You are an absolute nightmare!"

Lan Wangji's eyes darkned, "So Wei Ying doubts this one's ability. I shall prove myself to Wei Ying."

Suddenly, Wei Wuxian's eyes went down.

And wow. It was big. Humongous! That thing between his legs is a monster!

Wei Wuxian’s breath hitched in his throat.

"L-L-Lan Zhan!" Wei Wuxian stuttered, his voice dropping to a high pitched, squeaking frequency. He tried to scramble backward, but he was already completely pinned against the spider’s massive, muscular chest, surrounded by eight white, armored legs that held him tighter than steel bands. "Hold on! Wait! Pause! Time out!"

"No time out," Lan Wangji rumbled softly.

The giant spider leaned down, his pale, breathtakingly handsome human face hovering a mere breath away from Wei Wuxian's flushed cheek. The sheer contrast between Lan Wangji’s pristine, icy composure and the sheer, intimidating scale of what was resting against Wei Wuxian's thighs was enough to make the little moth’s head spin.

"Lan Zhan, that is definitely not a spider pedipalp! that is a siege weapon!" Wei Wuxian squawked, his wings vibrating in absolute, unadulterated panic. "Are you trying to mate with me or break through the walls of Lotus Pier?! You can't just unleash that on a little moth! I'm small, delicate and fluff! I will snap in half!"

"You will not snap." Lan Wangji murmured into the sensitive crook of Wei Wuxian’s neck, his hot breath sending a violent shudder straight down the moth's spine. "I will be careful with Wei Ying."

"Careful?!" Wei Wuxian squealed as Lan Wangji shifted his weight, the massive, glistening length pressing full force against the soft fabric of his robes. "Lan Zhan, you're practically a giant! How can you even-aah!"

Lan Wangji didn't wait for him to finish his babbling. With slow, agonizingly deliberate precision, he nuzzled his lips against the sensitive base of Wei Wuxian’s fluffy antennae.

A high, involuntary whimper escaped Wei Wuxian's throat. His moth wings fluttered violently, sending a tiny cloud of shimmering, iridescent dust into the air. Antennae were a moth’s most sensitive organ, and Lan Wangji knew it. The spider gently nipped at the soft fluff, his low, humming vibration vibrating directly through Wei Wuxian’s skull.

"L-Lan Zhan...ah...wait, that's..." Wei Wuxian’s protest dissolved into a needy, breathless gasp. His legs, which had been trying to push the spider away, traitorously wrapped around one of Lan Wangji's thick spider legs instead, seeking leverage. "You...you cheat..."

"Mn. Not cheating," Lan Wangji purred, his golden eyes darkening to a deep, molten gold. "Courting."

"This isn't how courting works!" Wei Wuxian whined, though his red face buried itself right into Lan Wangji’s neck as the spider’s large, warm hands slid beneath his robes, cupping his soft, trembling hips.

Lan Wangji gently parted Wei Wuxian's legs, aligning their bodies completely. The sheer heat radiating off the spider was overwhelming.

The giant, terrifying predator of the Giant Dark Tree was completely, helplessly obsessed with a tiny, loud, chaotic moth, and he was about to make sure his new mate never thought about fluttering away ever again.

"Wei Ying," Lan Wangji whispered, his voice dark, possessive, and thick with desire. "Look at me."

Wei Wuxian opened his dark, teary eyes, whimpering as he felt the thick, intimidating head of Lan Wangji's length press firmly against his entrance, slick with natural, sweet scented silk lubricant.

"Lan Zhan..." Wei Wuxian breathed, his heart thumping like a trapped bird. "You...you really aren't going to let me go, are you?"

Lan Wangji tightened his grip around the moth's waist, pulling him impossibly flush against his body until there wasn't a single inch of air between them.

"Never," Lan Wangji promised softly, and slowly, relentlessly, began to push inside. "Wei Ying is mine."

Wei Wuxian let out a sharp, breathless gasp that echoed softly against the cool wood of the tree hollow.

"Ah-Lan Zhan!"

The sheer size of the spider stretched him completely full, a breathtaking, dizzying fullness that made Wei Wuxian’s toes curl into the velvety white carapace beneath him. Every single instinct told him to squirm, but Lan Wangji held him with absolute, unwavering control.

"Pain?" Lan Wangji rasped, his voice rough and deep, vibrating so powerfully that it sent static shocks straight through Wei Wuxian's sensitive antennae.

"N-no...not pain, just-gods, Lan Zhan!" Wei Wuxian whimpered, throwing his arms around Lan Wangji’s broad shoulders and clinging on for dear life. His powdery wings flapped frantically, dusting Lan Wangji's chest in a layer of fine shimmer. "You're...you're huge! I feel like you're filling up my whole belly!"

"Mn," Lan Wangji grumbled possessively, burying his face into the side of Wei Wuxian’s neck, inhaling the sweet, floral scent of honeysuckle off the moth's skin. "Mine. Filled with me."

"You...you absolute arrogant spider!" Wei Wuxian squeaked, his fluffy cheeks burning an incredible shade of scarlet. He tried to bite Lan Wangji’s shoulder, but it was like biting solid marble, leaving him with nothing to do but melt as Lan Wangji began his first, slow, agonizingly deep thrust.

"Ah! Ha-ah!"

Wei Wuxian’s head snapped back, his antennae trembling violently. The silk lubricant was impossibly smooth, cool against the intense heat building between their bodies. With every deliberate, heavy slide, Lan Wangji claimed every single cm of him, driving the chaotic little moth straight to the brink of insanity.

"Lan Zhan...Lan Zhan!" Wei Wuxian babbled, his hands clutching desperately at the spider's pale back. "Wait, wait-go slower! No, wait, don't stop! Ah, gods, what are you doing to me?!"

"Mating." Lan Wangji murmured, his tone thick and heavy. He began to pick up the pace, his lower spider body anchoring them firmly against the bed of soft silk while his upper human body rocked relentlessly into the small moth. "Wei Ying said I could not satisfy him."

"I took it back! I took it back 1p seconds ago!" Wei Wuxian cried out, his voice turning into sweet, high pitched chirps and squeaks as Lan Wangji hit a remarkably sensitive spot inside him. "Aaa-ah! Lan Zhan! There!"

Lan Wangji’s golden eyes flared. "Here?"

He struck the exact same spot again, harder and deeper, with ruthless precision.

Wei Wuxian’s entire body went taut. A high, needy whimper burst from his lips, his mouth staying open as waves of absolute pleasure crashed over his tiny frame. His soft legs kicked uselessly against Lan Wangji, and his wings fluttered in a blinding, panicked blur of dust.

"Lan Zhan! Lan Zhan, wait, I'm gonna-I'm gonna melt, I swear it, you're ruining me!"

"Not ruining." Lan Wangji rumbled against his lips, finally catching Wei Wuxian’s mouth in a deep, bruising, possessive kiss. He tasted like sweet nectar and wild air, completely intoxicating. Lan Wangji set a punishing, desperate rhythm, his massive body driving into the moth over and over, trapping Wei Wuxian in a world where nothing existed except heat, silk, and the predator who refused to ever let him go.

"Wei Ying," Lan Wangji growled into the kiss, "Stay with me. Forever."

"Yes-yes! Lan Zhan, please!" Wei Wuxian sobbed out, completely undone, his body coiling tight until he finally snapped, white hot pleasure exploding behind his eyes as he cried out the spider's name, clinging to his giant mate as if he were the only solid thing in the entire meadow.

"Gonna fill Wei Ying with my babies. Would Wei Ying like that? To be filled with my seed? To lay eggs, our babies, born out of our union?" He said as he continued to thrust into the heat of Wei Wuxian.

The words sent an absolute jolt of heat straight through Wei Wuxian’s core, short circuiting his remaining thread of sanity.

"E-eggs?!" Wei Wuxian squeaked out, his voice cracking into a high, trembling whimper. "Lan Zhan! You-ah! You can't just-! I'm a moth! You're a spider! Can we even-aah!"

Lan Wangji didn't answer with words. Instead, he drove in to his hilt, burying himself so deeply into Wei Wuxian’s tight, quivering heat that the little moth’s back arched clear off the silk bed.

"Mn," Lan Wangji rumbled, his golden eyes glowing with a dark, terrifyingly possessive intensity. "We will find out. Over and over."

With a low, gut wrenching growl, Lan Wangji snapped his hips forward one final, desperate time. He held Wei Wuxian pinned completely flush against his massive, warm chest, his arms locked like vice grips around the moth’s trembling waist.

A heavy, violent tremor surged through the giant spider. Deep within the silk slicked warmth of Wei Wuxian's belly, Lan Wangji pulsed, releasing a thick, overwhelming flood of his hot, potent seed, completely filling the tiny moth to absolute capacity.

"Lan Zhan! Lan Zhan!" Wei Wuxian cried out, his voice catching in his throat.

The sheer sensation of being filled so completely, combined with the continuous low hum vibrating from Lan Wangji's chest, triggered a second, sharp wave of climax through Wei Wuxian's delicate frame. His wings shuddered violently, dumping a thick cloud of sparkling, iridescent dust all over Lan Wangji's shoulders. His tiny moth legs wrapped desperately around Lan Wangji, holding on as if he were drowning in a sea of pure, dizzying heat.

For minutes, the only sound in the dark, quiet tree hollow was the ragged, breathless panting of the tiny moth and the deep, steady breathing of the giant predator holding him.

Lan Wangji didn't pull out. He remained buried deep inside his new mate, making sure every drop of his warmth stayed trapped within Wei Wuxian. Slowly, with immense, agonizing tenderness, he leaned down and pressed a long, soft kiss to Wei Wuxian’s forehead, right between his twitching, exhausted antennae.

"Mine." Lan Wangji whispered, his voice a low, soothing purr that vibrated against Wei Wuxian's damp skin. "Filled. Mine."

Wei Wuxian lay completely limp against Lan Wangji’s chest, his face buried in the spider’s neck, his fluffy cheeks burning an unbelievable shade of scarlet. He felt thoroughly stretched, delightfully stuffed, and entirely thoroughly claimed.

"You...you absolute brute," Wei Wuxian managed to puff out, his voice reduced to a tiny, breathy squeak. He weakly tapped his little fist against Lan Wangji's solid chest. "You really...you really didn't pull out at all...I'm going to be leaking your seed for a week! How am I supposed to fly back to Jiang Cheng like this?!"

Lan Wangji’s golden eyes blinked slowly, filled with quiet, unyielding satisfaction. He gently smoothed down Wei Wuxian's ruffled moth fluff, tucking his long legs securely around his tiny mate like a impenetrable white fortress.

"You are not flying back," Lan Wangji stated simply, his tone leaving no room for debate. "You stay here. With me. Nurturing our nest."

Wei Wuxian let out a long, dramatic whine, though he traitorously snuggled deeper into the spider's warm, velvety carapace, his soft wings giving a small, content flutter.

"I am never, ever going near a cool looking tree again," Wei Wuxian muttered into Lan Wangji's neck, a tiny, fond smile tugging at his lips. "Though...I guess your pantry service and bed accommodations aren't too terrible."

Lan Wangji let out a deep, rumble of approval, pulling the blanket of soft, silvery silk over them both, sealing his precious, talkative little moth away from the rest of the world forever.

Just beyond the shadowed perimeter of the Giant Dark Tree, Jiang Cheng was executing a stealth operation.

It's been a week since they last seen Wei wuxian.

"Stupid, brainless moth..." Jiang Cheng muttered under his breath, his bright purple butterfly wings twitching nervously as he crept through the thick underbrush. "Leaves for five minutes to chase nectar and gets himself captured by the legendary demon spider. If I don't rescue him, Yanli will never forgive me."

Determined to save his idiot brother, Jiang Cheng cautiously scaled the colossal trunk, holding a sharp pine needle like a sword. He crept toward a large crevice in the bark where the silk threads were thickest, preparing himself to battle a terrifying, bloodthirsty beast. He had prepared himself mentally and physically for a week. He is definitely prepared.

He peeked around the heavy curtain of silvery web.

"Wei Wuxian, hold on, I'm-"

Jiang Cheng froze. The pine needle slipped from his leg and plummeted into the abyss below.

Inside the cozy, silk lined hollow, there was no gruesome feeding scene.

Instead, the spider was buried to the hips inside Wei Wuxian, rocking into him with relentless, primal intensity. The hollow rang with the low, thunderous vibrations of Lan Wangji’s possessive purring, punctuated by Wei Wuxian’s loud, shameless, echoed chirps and breathless squeaks of absolute bliss.

To make matters infinitely worse, Wei Wuxian was already cradling a neat, glowing clutch of freshly laid, pearlescent silk wrapped moth-spider eggs against his chest, his fluffy antennae trembling in pure ecstasy as Lan Wangji drove into him, thoroughly mating him for who knows how many rounds.

"A-Ah! Lan Zhan! Right there-aaah!" Wei Wuxian’s shameless voice echoed clearly out of the den. "More! Fill me up again!"

Jiang Cheng’s entire face exploded into a shade of violent, radioactive purple. His antennae stood straight up in pure, unadulterated horror, his eyes bulging as the utterly unhinged sight scorched itself into his retinas forever.

"WHAT THE-?!" Jiang Cheng choked out, clapping both upper legs over his eyes.

He didn't wait another microsecond. Turning on his heel, the purple butterfly beat his wings in a frantic, panicked blur, practically tumbling out of the tree and flying away as fast as his wings could possibly carry him, screaming internally all the way back to the meadow.

Inside the hollow, Lan Wangji didn't even pause his rhythm, simply tightening his grip on Wei Wuxian's hips as he leaned down to kiss his breathless, egg clutching mate.
