Everything, all for you, my blood runs wild.

Summary:

Peter blinked down at his phone, the text barely registering as he read it over again and again. He swallowed thickly before locking the device. It was starting to get nerve wracking, the number of bodies that had begun to pile up around him.

Chapter 1: My obsession is one you can trust.

Chapter Text

Peter didn’t notice it at first.

He liked to think he was very good at noticing things, but that just wasn’t true. Wade noticed it before he did, as it often went.

Wade paused what he was doing when he noticed it again, Peter was slumping slightly as the older man rambled on about the latest season of ‘love island.’ He made a soft, amused little noise as he watched the young man slump a bit more into Wade’s shitty chair. “Say, Babyboy, you gettin’ enough sleep?” Wade asked, leaning forward as the younger man jerked slightly. The eyes of the mask widened just slightly. “Sorry, i dunno whats wrong with me.”

Deadpool snorted softly, the texture of his own mask stretching just barely as he grinned at the smaller. “I don’ mind, webs, get some sleep. Its rough being a big ol’ hero.” he teased, watching as Spidey’s body began relaxing yet again. Wade looked down at his phone, amazon was left open from a moment ago. He bought the tarps.

-

The next time it happened it was just after sunset, the pair had just narrowly missed getting blown up and now Spidey was asleep against Dopinder’s back seat with wade in the front yapping.

-

Peter blinked down at his phone, the text barely registering as he read it over again and again. He swallowed thickly before locking the device. It was starting to get nerve wracking, the amount of bodies that had begun to pile up around him. The latest one- Flash, someone he hadn’t seen in years besides last week where he had shoved Peter against the wall and had spewed hateful nonsense towards him, things he didn’t even understand.- He looked up as the door to the roof flicked open, Deadpool holding two fat bags of greasy street food above his head proudly.

Peter let out a soft breath, flipping his mask up above his nose so he could eat.

-

Peter switched his living room light on, he was tired.

A long night of hero work, and then his classes, and then a burglary on his way home this morning had kept him from his bed for almost forty-eight hours, his exhaustion was the reason he didn’t notice the scent of blood in his apartment, or the faint tingling at the base of his skull. His spidey sense wasn’t in overdrive, so he hadn’t even registered that that that was what that feeling even was!

He made his way to the kitchen, hoping that somehow food would appear in his fridge that struggled to keep anything even the slightest bit cold. His hopes had been up for nothing; he sighed and turned towards his counter. That was when the heart-shaped chocolate box caught his attention. He blinked for a moment before his brain registered the sticky looking dark liquid pooling under it. He swallowed, the smell of blood slamming into him all at once. He sucked in a harsh breath as he carefully stepped closer to it. Bottom lip sucked between his teeth as he very slowly pulled the lid up.

What was in the box couldn’t even be described as a heart anymore; it was a mangled piece of muscle and thick, oozing blood. He hadn’t been this scared in years, someone had been in his home, someone had left a heart on his counter in hopes he would see it. He didn’t know what to do.

-

The next time he saw deadpool he was a bit spaced out than normal, the sound of the older man speaking more background noise than anything he could hear. That was until the man’s hand carefully gripped his knee with a concerned little tilt of his head. Peter blinked at him.

“what?” he asked once he realized he had spoken to him. Deadpool snorted before shaking his head, hand waving at something near his head. “Was askin’ if you were alright, webs. You're not telling me to shut up.” he said, twisting his body to turn more towards the younger man. Peter Swallowed before he let out a little sigh.

“i think...” he trailed off, lips pursing under his mask for a moment. He felt a little like he had when he had tried to speak up about Skip when he was younger. “Don’t laugh at me.” Peter started. “I think i might be getting stalked, or-or someone’s playing a cruel joke on me.” he said, looking away from the older man for a moment, nibbling on the inside of his cheek.

Deadpool’s mask eyes widened slightly before he leaned forward a bit, letting out a little huff of noise before he gave a slow little nod. “You, or You-You?” He asked after the silence. Peter’s face heated up at the question. “Me-Me.” he responded, clearing his throat to try and work through the embarrassment coursing through him.

Deadpool gave another slow little nod at that, his fingers tightening just barely around the drink he had in his hand, a thousand thoughts running through his mind at those words. “Why do you think you’re being stalked?” he asked, carefully setting the drink down next to them so he wouldn’t crush the cup and wear sprite. Peter tensed just slightly at that before he sighed again.

“it’s stupid, ‘pool. Forget i said anything.” He said with embarrassment coloring his voice. Wade’s brows –or lack thereof- twitched at that before he shook his head slightly. “Fine, but if anything – I mean anything, Webs- gets worse or you get scared you call me.” He said, voice stern and a bit rough.

Peter nodded.

-

When Peter was dating Felicia, he thinks he had gone through something like this, though nothing this extreme. The murder surrounding him, the heart on his counter, the way it felt like he was being watched even though no one was around when he would look. That was new.

When he hooked up with Johnny, he had found a wilted rose taped to his front door. He thought it had been one of his neighbors, so he ignored it.

When frank castle had kissed him behind a dumpster and Peter had pushed him away, telling him he wouldn’t be a grief filled fuck, he had found a very healthy rose taped to his door.

When he and MJ had broken up, he had found a bouquet instead of just one.

Now though? He didn’t know what he had done this time. He stood in his bedroom door, swallowing as he took in the sight in front of him,

Photos of him, Of spider-man, Of every single one of his flings.

Xs were drawn over everyone's faces, except his. A blood heart drawn around his head.

Whoever had done this, knew he was spider-man.

Another heart had been dropped in the middle of his bed, he didn’t know if it was Human or not.

-

The next murder had been someone he had merely bumped into on his way to work, someone who had cursed at him in pure annoyance. The third heart showed up on his living room coffee table.

He got sick the next day.

-

His heating had failed; it was winter, and he had already been a little sick to begin with.

He missed patrol with Deadpool five times before the man called the spider, he didn’t answer of course, hazy in his fever and his body shutting down the colder it got. He thinks it had begun to snow at one point. Deadpool spammed called him.

-

Deadpool didn’t know what was going on; the last interaction he had with the spider was when he said he had been getting stalked. It worried him, deeply. He didn’t want anything to happen to his favorite Arachnid. He was stressing, the boxes louder than they had been in months, pacing his floor as the heat blasted at max temp. He paced for almost two hours before the shrieking of his phone cut through the silence.

Peter’s contact blaring at him from his counter; he gripped it tightly as he answered. Concern and panic colored his voice as he finally spoke. “Webs, are you alright?’ He asked, palm hitting against his head as he attempted to get the boxes to quiet down in his mind.

Peter sniffled through the speaker. “Don’ feel good, pool.” His nasally response came; another sniffle before a cough. “Can’t move. Hurts.” Wade’s concern spiked higher. He didn’t know what was wrong with the man. “Where are you, Spidey?” He asked, shifting a bit to grab his mask to pull over his face.

Peter mumbled something that didn’t make sense before his phone dinged. He pulled his phone from his ear and looked at the text that had just come through. Peter shared his location. He grabbed a gun, and quickly made his way to the pin.

-

Peter wasn’t very aware; he could hear what sounded like his front door slam open, wood splintering as someone called his name. He slipped back into his sleepy haze.

The next thing he was aware of was the lights, a big over head light had been switched on and was currently burning his eyes even though they were closed. He whined, then calmed at the very gentle sounding coos above him, a hand in his hair. The light switched off.

He blinked his eyes open for a moment, though. The moment he saw Deadpool he simply fell back under.
