Chapter 1: Biker Boy

Chapter Text

On a hot day, for some reason you had a date with some guy you met at a bar. You weren’t really that interested but decided to go anyways because it was of course, the most polite, yet even more annoying thing to do. You put on a nice dress and heels, curled your hair, and did your makeup all nice so you would present well to him even though you didn’t really care. You hopped into your car and started playing your hype playlist that basically had all your favorite music, which was a very wide variety of music taste. As long is it energized you, it worked With your hype music blaring as you drove and hummed along, you as you started driving to the exact same bar that for some reason you told him that was a fine spot for a date.

Maybe getting drunk on a bad day without your best friend to protect you wasn’t the best idea. When it got to one of your favorite songs you started singing along to the song as you drove. “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, seven days a- What? No, no, no, no…” in your old, barely functioning car, the radio had broken down yet again. Then the engine started sputtering and giving out as your car battery died, along with your hopes of finally finding someone to cure your never ending abyss loneliness.

Some fancy motorcycle revved its engine at you before swerving around and speeding off in front of you. “Ugh, bikers.” You said, fully meaning it. You had a bad history with men that rode motorcycles, you dated one where it ended awful and the relationship crumbled around you. He cheated on you and made you feel like shit, but it was like you seemed to see him everywhere. You swore he was more in love with his bike than you.

You slowly pulled over as your barely functioning car finally gave out. “No, no, no, no, no!! Great. Perfect way to start off my day.” You said to yourself. You pushed open your door as you walked around your car to see what was wrong this time. The car had completely broken down and one of the tires had a hole.

You sighed out of exhaustion before pulling out your phone to call a tow truck before realizing that you had completely forgotten to charge your phone last night and it was at 3%.

At that moment you were so overwhelmed that you broke down sobbing on the hood of your car. All of a sudden what sounded like a motorcycle revved behind you and came to a slow stop next to your car. You heard footsteps coming towards you and immediately turned around.

“Uhm excuse me?” You found yourself facing the most gorgeous man you had ever seen. He had floppy black hair that fell in front of his eyes and a shiny lip ring that caught your eye. Speaking of eyes, the second you looked at him you noticed his big beautiful eyes that looked somewhat like boba. Boba eyes. How could someone be cute, hot, and really sexy all at the same time? You didn’t even think it was possible and here you were, sitting in a ball against your car as this supermodel of a man stopped to talk to you.

You noticed the helmet under his arm and the fancy motorcycle parked behind him. At least it wasn’t the same one that almost ran into you. ‘Ugh he was even a biker.’ You thought. Awesome. But motorcycle guys were never this beautiful. Or… kind?

You wiped your eyes suddenly when you realized where you were; in real life. “Oh I’m sorry, why don’t you go rev your fancy motorcycle’s engine somewhere else. I’m kind of busy here.” You said as you looked away with a sniffle. “I was actually going to ask if you needed help.” He said thoughtfully. “No thank you. I’m doing just fine over here.” You told him, but the crack in your voice told him otherwise. He squatted beside you so you were at eye level and just said “oh yeah?” In a low gravvley voice. Holy shit that was hot. “How about I call a tow truck for you and give you a ride home, huh?” He reached out a hand for you as he stood up, clearly trying to help. You stayed and thought through what could possibly happen in this moment. “Okay biker boy. Let’s hope you’re not as charming as you think you are.” You said as you gave in and grabbed his hand. He let out a low chuckle as he pulled you off the ground. “Well I like to think I’m very charming, but I’ll take that as a compliment.” You looked at him as he curiously looked you up and down until your glowing hazel eyes locked with his big boba eyes. You felt your stomach do a flip before you could come up with the words to say. You could feel your cheeks get hot as you suddenly darted your eyes down to look at the ground.

He started looking you up and down as if he was inspecting you. Like he could see through your soul. His gaze made your heart pound a million miles per minute as you were trying to find words. Normally you were the queen of clap-backs, but for some reason just his mere presence made your brain stutter.

“Hey, keep your eyes up here biker boy.” You said sassily after clearly waiting too long to say something. “Alright, alright. Calm it car girl.” He said smoothly like he did this all the time. “You need a tow truck right? Let me call one for you.” He said as he pulled his phone out of his jacket pocket. “And what makes you think I can’t call one myself?” You said.
“I never said any of that.”
“You implied it.”
“Well call one then.” He said with a shit-eating grin. You looked at your phone screen. 2%. Shit. “Fine, you call one.” You said with a huff. “That’s what I thought.” He replied, having already pulled up the number and pressing dial the second you gave in.

You sat on the hood of your car and watched the sunset as he called the towing company. He turned back around to look at you once he hung up, but his face was twisted into a strange, yet unreadable and calming expression. Like your parents trying to tell you your cat’s dead. He walked over after putting his helmet down on his bike and leaned up against the hood of your car. You watched the sunset fade into darkness together for a few minutes before he finally said what needed to be said. “They won’t be here for 3 hours.”
“Three hours, that’s going to be 1:00am!” You yelled as you were already anxious and on the verge of another mental breakdown. “And I live like an hour away from here!!”
“What if…” he spoke slowly as he studied your expressions and reactions to him. “I only live about 15 minutes from here, so what if I wait with you and give you a ride back to my place for the night.”
“I don’t know you!! I don’t know if you’re some serial killer and you rescue women from the side of the road and take them back to your place, then kill them?!” He just looked into your eyes and tilted his head. “Do I look like a serial killer?” He asked as he took a step closer to you so you could see him better under the last glimmer of orange and pink sunlight.

You looked at him harder and noticed that his features were softer and more gentle than you first thought. And he stopped to help you when your car broke down. He kind of reminded you of a big teddy bear. Oh how you would love to be wrapped in his big strong arms. “Okay.. well I don’t even know your name” you said a little more calmly. “Jungkook.” He said as he let his face and body relax to attempt to soothe you. “Now you know my name.” He said with a steady voice. “And now you don’t have to call me biker boy anymore.” He said as me let out a low chuckle, clearly in attempting to put you at ease. You let out a tiny giggle before slowly tilting your head up to look at him again. “Y/n. I’m still calling you biker boy though.” You said with more of a playful and calmed expression.

“Okay.” You whispered after a minute. “I’ll accept your offer.”
“Lovely.” He spoke softly. “Lovely? What are you, an old man?” You said. That certainly got a reaction out of him. “Hey! Lovely is a totally normal thing to say.” He huffed as he did this cute pout thing. He was so cute. And all of a sudden you wanted to tease him and make him mad all the time. “No don’t take it the wrong way, biker boy. It’s cute.” You said that last part quietly. He took a breath before saying “You know we don’t have to wait the whole time until the tow truck gets here, right? They’ll come get your car and we can leave now.”

That seemed like the best idea, considering the sun had completely set and there were already bright stars glimmering above you. You sat on the cool hood of your dead car with your head spinning. “Sure. Let’s go.” You said, before realizing the only way to leave with him was on a motorcycle. Then you remembered not to trust biker boys that easily. You couldn’t get your heart broken again. But for some reason a part of you did want to go. A part of you did want to trust him. You were frozen in place before realizing what you had just roped yourself into. Then you remembered a conversation with your best friend a few days ago. She told you to put yourself out there and do it for the plot.
