In the city of Springdale were two Komainu yo-kai. What are yo-kai? They are spirits that cause daily life annoyances! Well, these two don’t, their names are..Komasan and Komajiro, two brothers from the countryside.. in the big city.
The two brothers were currently in the Springdale Shopping District, having gotten their hands on ice cream before deciding to leave. “C’mon big brother, if we miss the train we’ll never make it home!” Komajiro says, his tone a bit more panicked. “I-I know that.. but this ice cream is dripping faster than molasses!” Komasan replies, while licking the dripping soft serve off the cone.
But as soon as he looks up and looks over to his left, Komajiro is no longer there.
“Oh my swirls!! Where d-did ‘ya go..little brother?!” Komasan says, panicked, before quickly running around trying to find his little brother, before…
SLAM!
He ran right into a trash can! He fell down, his ice cream making a sad splat right in front of him. “M-my treat..!” He says, utterly defeated, until..
“Big brother!! There you are!” Komajiro ran up to him, holding his ice cream, he looked down and saw the spilt dairy treat, and handed him his ice cream. “You can have mine! I ain’t gonna be able to finish it in time, let’s go home now!”
“Oh my swirls! Thank ‘ya so much..!” Komasan replies, his sad little frown replaced with a smile.
And they walked to the train station to go home. Another successful day in the city!
