It was a late night in Ramshackle.
Yuu had already tucked Grim into bed, and the ghosts had already tucked into their beds on the ceiling of the room she and the direbeast shared. However, she was still awake, having brewed some tea and was now reviewing notes for her classes.
But unbeknownst to her, she wasn’t the only one awake. As she thumbed through her notes, the dorm’s newest addition was sprawled over the couch with a prominent pout on his face. His normally-gelled white hair was loose, and he was sucking away at the remnants of a lollipop.
“I’m bored,” Nougat said, removing the slightly chewed-up stick from his mouth. “Entertain me.”
Yuu looked up to see the boy lying on his stomach across from her, kicking his legs back and forth as he frowned. “I can’t entertain you right now,” Yuu said. “I’m busy with notes.”
“You’re always busy,” Nougat complained. “And I can’t sleep. I demand your attention.”
Yuu just rolled her eyes, annoyed that she couldn’t study in peace. “Maybe you can’t sleep because you’re eating candy late at night,” she said bluntly.
“I can indulge in candy whenever I want,” Nougat argued. He got up and walked over to the coffee table, then leaned over the prefect. “I want you to play with me. Now.”
“I said, I can’t,” Yuu said. She knew the boy wasn’t going to leave her alone, so she just started putting away her notes. “Besides, it’s late at night. I’ll go make you some tea, and then I’ll play with you tomorrow.”
As she was about to head to the kitchen, Nougat grabbed her by the sleeve and pulled her back. “You’re not going anywhere, sugarplum,” he said, a determined yet mischievous glint in his candy-red eyes.
Yuu’s eyes widened as he dragged her back to the lounge. “Nougat…what are you doing?” she asked. The boy effortlessly threw her onto the couch. “No one defys the king and gets away with it,” he declared with a sugary-sweet tone. He pulled her chin up, forcing her to meet his gaze. “Not even you, my little gumdrop.”
He produced a red rope that he’d been hiding. It was silk, and resembled a long string of licorice. The boy quickly got to work, weaving the bright red strands around the prefect and tying knots in different patterns, ensuring she wouldn’t escape. Once he was done, he stepped back to admire his handiwork. “You look so pretty right now…” he said, an ecstatic grin on his face. “Simply delicious.”
Yuu struggled in her restraints, but she couldn’t get out. Her arms were bound behind her back, and her legs had been tied together. “What are you doing? Please untie me right now!” she begged.
Nougat just chuckled. “No can do, sweetie. You wouldn’t give me attention when I asked for it. And for that, you must be punished.” He then pulled a candy cane out of his pajama pocket and began peeling off the plastic wrap at the end.
Yuu could feel goosebumps on her skin, and she nervously watched as Nougat approached her. “What is that…?”
“A cinnamon candy cane,” Nougat answered. “But it’s not just any kind of old candy cane. It’s got a tasty cream inside!” His gleeful excitement was evident at that moment, his eyes sparkling. He examined the candy cane as he tapped the long end of it against Yuu’s cheek. “I wonder how many licks it’ll take to get to the center…” he pondered, his voice now low. A sadistic smirk spread across his face. “Let’s find out.”
He placed the tip of the candy cane on Yuu’s soft lips. “You know what to do, dear. Start sucking.”
Yuu nervously swallowed, then started licking the candy cane. She could feel the mixture of sweetness and spice on her tongue; it felt intoxicating. Even more so, since Nougat was staring at her as she gently sucked on the cinnamon confection.
She let out a small whine as the boy moved the candy a little further in. He licked his lips as he watched her, relishing in his little game.
The end of the candy cane was getting thinner. The prefect moaned around the candy in her mouth, her mind hazy and her face warm. She couldn’t tell if she was getting closer to the center or not…and then she tasted it.
Sweet white cream, oozing out from the hollow shell. Nougat’s eyes sparkled with delight as he saw the cream spill out. “Well done, my dear! You can stop sucking now.”
Yuu obeyed, releasing the candy cane from her mouth. Nougat pulled the candy away from her, biting down on the thin end and chewing it, giggling all the while as he savored the taste. Once he’d swallowed, he leaned close to Yuu, capturing her lips with his own. As he kissed her, he licked the corners of her lips, tasting the remnants of sugar and cinnamon flavor. Once he pulled away, he sat up, looking down at the girl in front of him. “You know…it tastes a lot sweeter on you,” he said.
Yuu just gazed up at the candy boy. “Are you gonna…untie me now?” she asked.
But Nougat let out a low chuckle. “Oh, no, sweetie. I’m not done with you yet,” he replied. He pulled her up by one of the knots he’d tied in the front, his eyes dark.
“We’re gonna keep going until I’ve been sufficiently entertained.”
