Izuku’s POV - It was late November, snow was falling. Bakugou and Sophia were in town. They had invited me to third wheel, per usual. We were going store to store looking for ideas for Christmas presents. Well, at least they were. I had no one to buy presents ever since Sophia had replaced me.
Bakugou and Sophia were wearing these stupid matching hoodies. They looked just like the ones he and I had when we were younger. It made me sick.
They were smelling holiday candles together talking about how they would be perfect in their house they planned on buying when they were older. My heart sank. I needed to get out of here. I walked closer to the two of them. I hesitated before i spoke. I felt so sick to my stomach because of this stupid feeling he gave me.
“Hey Kacchan?” I spoke after a minute. I had still called him the name I had game him since we were 5. “I think I’m gonna go. You two have fun okay?” I waited for a response but all he gave was a simple “Kay.” and nodded. I sighed and walked out of the cozy dim lit shop and out to the dark snowy night.
I had always liked this time of year. We were on break from school and it was holiday after holiday. I used to spend all of them with him. I called an uber and went home. It was about time for dinner.
I walked in my house and was filled with an aroma of a fresh cooked meal. There was leftover turkey in the oven from thanksgiving. I sat down at the table.“Hey mom.” she didn’t notice I was here. I was planning on going to eat dinner with Bakugou and Sophia but i couldn’t. “Oh, hey sweetie!” my mother greeted me. “I thought you were going out to eat with Bakugou and Sophia? What happened?” She asked warmly. “I don’t know. I just have a headache. I thought i would just come home.”
We ate the thanksgiving leftovers together.It got my mind off the boy, who had no interest in me, for a while.
