Slick was having a particularly good Saturday. for one thing she was with her girlfriend watching a fantastic old lesbian movie called But I am Coach (starring Buffy the Buffet car) well she was watching Belle was sleeping on her not that she was complaining. And for another thing she didn't have to work on the freight line. Was that because she was on shed rest yes, Did Slick care, no. Why should she? Electra and Greaseball are both alive and so is Rusty. So, no harm, no foul, right.
And the third thing, her and her amazing girlfriend Belle have the coaches shed entirely to themselves. Pearl and Dinah are at the repair shed looking after their respective partners, and Taissta and SilverBullet (their cousins) are off visiting their family in a different yard for the day. So, her Saturday was going very well.
Then the door burst open. And in came her mother, her brother… and a repair truck? Who promptly turned off the TV.
“Mum, what are you…” she started before her girlfriend promptly fell of the couch. Belle, of course, woke up. “Who turned off the TV I was watching that,” said belle still lying on the floor.
“Sorry for interrupting but we need your help.” Said the repair truck. Belle just looked up at her in confusion. “Uh?”
“Do you know anything about the name Macavity?” Belle at once shot up from the floor. “How do you know that name?” She asked, a look of pure horror on her face. Slick had never seen her look like this be for it was… scary.
“I think we should take this conversation to the kitchen.” Said mama try to calm Belle “like Dinah always says everything is better with a cup of tea.” She placed a hand on Belle's shoulder and started Guiding her to the kitchen. Slick got up from the couch and followed the rest of the group.
They all sat around the coaches' dining table as Mama and the repair truck started to make tea.
“So, what is this even about?” Asked Slick as she took one of the mugs off her mother.
“it’s about your bother; you see he has been fainting recently and when he wakes up, he shouts that name only to promptly forget he said it.” Said the repair truck
“We were hoping you would have some answers seeing as you’re the only person in this yard who has a personal connection to the name.” She looked at Belle (who was clutching her mug) expectingly.
“We need to tell my dad, now” said Belle almost to herself. “You mean that clunky old stem train that adopted you, what is he going to do?” Asked Slick.
Belle just looked at her then burst into laughter horror wiped completely from her face “you…y…. you think he’s my d-dad” now Belle was cackling hand over her mouth. “Is Nut not your dad?” Asked Mama, seeming just as confused as Slick.
“Oh, starlight no he’s just my dad friend” said Belle claiming down. “Wait, I never told you?” Said Belle horror returning.
“Told us what?” Slick asked.
“So, um… this is hard to explain… so my dad’s a cat.” she said.
“What!” They all said in unison.
Rusty lends back and took a long sip of tea. “I am dreaming,” he whispered. “I wish you were,” mumbled Slick in response. Mama just blinks at her even the component looked shocked.
“Ok so my dad is owned by a train driver (the same one who drives the midnight Mali) he adopted me, but we don’t need to get into that story right now.” Said Belle smiling “Anyway about Macavity,” she said, expression turning grave. “You need to get Rusty to the Jellicle's now.”
“The what?” Asked Rusty
“Oh right,” said Belle, seeming to realize they are not all on the same page. “The Jellicle's are my dad's tribe, and they all are a part of the same religion.”
“Oh, so like a cult” said Slick finally understanding. “There not a cult!” Snapped Belle. “Do they sacrifice people” Slick joked. “Yes, kind of but it’s consensual” now that was unexpected.
“So, it is a cult?” Ask Rusty.
“No!” Shouted Belle before taking a deep breath “we’re getting off topic. Look if what is happening to Rusty as something to do with Macavity then it’s worse than any of you though.” She said seriously.
“What could a cat even do to Rusty? He is literally God.” Asked Slick. “He’s more powerful than you think.” Said Belle Frowning.
“What do you mean by that?” Asked Mama, who had been listening intently. “Some cats are born with power gifted to them by the Everlasting Cat.” Said Belle.
“The Everlasting what?” Asked Rusty, looking more confused as the conversation goes on. “Their god, Macavity is one of those cats.” Said Belle “he’s what they call Magic. He can Teleport, levitate, manipulate people's minds, there's not much can't do.” Continue Belle.
“I am sorry you're telling me somewhere out there there’s a cat that can fly?!” Asked Slick, not believing her ears. “Multiple I think, anyway if whatever is happening to Rusty has something to do with Macavity we need to get him to the Jellicle's as soon possible.” Belle said.
“Do you know how to get to them?” Asked the repair truck only now joining the conversation. “I know how to get close.” Said Belle.
“Then you and Rusty should leave at once” said Mama standing up from the table and grabbed their empty mugs. “I am coming,” said Slick. She had no intention of missing out on meeting her girlfriend’s family even if they're in a cult.
“You don’t have to come,” said Belle “plus with your shed arrest I don’t know if your even allowed.” She looked over at Mama for permission.
“You can go but Belle is in charge.” Mama said pointedly.
“We should get going” said Rusty standing up, they flowed suit. When they got to the door of the shed, Rusty suddenly turned around. “Mama can you-” she cut him off before he could finish. “I’ll tell Hydra and Pearl you’re gone.” She said “now go”
With that, she and Belle Hooked themselves up to Rusty and left for another yard.

In the movie world
In another world. On a boat in the River Themes, a ginger cat appears.
“Who’s out there?” Asked Growltiger as he came from the deck below. Then, in a flash of lighting he was no longer there.
Another cat came from below. “What’s going on up here?” Said a darknessbrown cat in a fur coat. “There you are.” Came a cold voice form above. (Movie) Macavity looked up to see a ginger cat sitting on the mass of his ship. The cat licked its lips.
“Who are you?” He asked, crossing his arms. “The other you,” said the cat. He was thin with sunken eyes. “I have to say I thought you'd be more powerful.” Drawled the other Macavity.
“What!” He said, who did this guy think he was. “Never mind you could still prove to be useful.” Said the cat appearing Directly in front of him now.
“Tell me other me what is it you want?” He asked Intrigue in his voice. He looked at the other cat and decided to tell the truth. “What every other cat wants to go to the Heavy side layer.”
The other cat burst into laughter falling backwards but not on to the ground his magic stopping him instead he lied suspended in the air. “The Heaven side layer you think to small my friend.” He said, looking at him in amusement.
“Why be reborn when you can remake.” He said floating back down on to the ground in front of him, stepping back on to the deck of the ship. “What do you mean?” He asked intrigued by the statement.
“What I mean is why try to impress a god when you can become one.” He said moving closer “tell me have you ever heard of the Starlight Express.”

A week earlier
Mistoffelees wakes up Surrounded by familiar smells. Opening his eyes slowly, he takes in his and Tuggers den. That’s when the realization dawns on him in their home.
He hears tuggers angry steps approaching, followed by Jenny’s voice.
“Tugger you don’t know anything about this tom.” Said the old queen.
“Dem is terrified of him isn’t that enough” Tuggers stopped as he turns to face the older cat. “Why don’t you believe her, uh? She’s your daughter for Heavy’s sake!”
Jenny took a step back. “Of course, I believe her, but we don’t know the full story yet besides he’s hurt so either way he stays until he’s better.” Jenny sighed “Look we’ll wait to make the decision if he can stay permanently when Misto can bring Munkastrap and the Twins back they’ll know if he can be trusted.” She finished. “Fine” grumbled Tugger.
“In the meantime, you focus on Mistoffelees. How is he?” Asked Jenny. “Till asleep” he responded. “Jenny what if he doesn’t…”
“Tugger” Misto called, sitting up. Both cats rushed into the den. “Mistoffelees!” Tugger call as he came to Misto side rubbing his head against Misto’s in greeting. “Are you all, right?” He asked worriedly.
“I feel fine Tugger, is everything all right with the yard?” He asked trying to piece together what their conversation could have been about.
“Not really” said Jenny “do you think you could bring everyone back? Only if you're up for it of course dear.” He just looked at Jenny, not knowing what she meant. “Form where?” He asked. “The other world” said Tugger, Misto just blinked at him. “With the other us?” Oh, on in his exhaustion he had left everyone behind.
. “I can do it.” He said getting up from his and Tuggers blanket pile in the middle of their den. And walking out Past Tugger and Jenny. Not without hearing is mates protests.
In a burst of glitter Munkastrap, Alonzo, Victoria, Plato, Rumpelteazer and Mungojarrie all appear.
Victoria Immediately rushes to Mistoffelees and nuzzles him Alonzo following suit.
‘What happened we were so worried’ signed Victoria. “I think I just overuse my magic.” He said. “That still doesn’t explain how you got there in the first place though.” Said Tugger. He was right and Misto was suspicious It was Macavity but that could wait until the next meeting which would be sooner than normal, no doubt.
“Munkastrap, Mungojarrie and Rumpelteazer.” Call Jenny, relief washing her face. “Did something bad happen wail I was gone Jenny?” Said Munkastrap as the three approached the old queen. “I am not sure yet, you see a young Cat appeared wail you were a way he claimed to have just escaped Macavity and was injured.” Munkastrp looked like he wanted to ask a question, but janny stopped him.
“Both Bomba and Demeter recognized him… but Demeter doesn’t trust him and Bomba recognizes his face but says she doesn’t remember him enough to pass judgement. I don’t know what to do. I don’t want what happened to Grizabella to happen again.” She finished
“I see so you need us to tell you if he’s legit.” Said Mungo, Teazer nodding along.
“Well yes” replied the queen. The group started walking in the direction of Jenny’s den. “Wait I should go make sure Dems all right, come get me once the twins meet their verdict” said Munkastrap heading toward his and Demeter’s den.
“I will deer” responded Jenny and they went their separate ways.

“Well, his definitely was a part of Mac’s Crew.” Said Teazer, looking the black cat up and down. “But do you think he can be trusted.” Asked Jenny, leaning over the sleeping stranger with her kids. “If I remember correctly, he’s spied for him before.” Said Mungo looking over to his mother.
“And we use to steal for him, and Dem and Bomba use to help him with plans it doesn’t mean much.” Argued Teazer right back. That is when movement from the pail of blankets in front of them. As the mystery tom woke up.
“Oh, good you’ve woken up” said Jenny, rushing to the sleepy outsider the twins moving back to give their mother space to work. “Sorry, but how long have I been out for.” Asked the black tom, he had blue eyes and a sweetness about him. “Only a few days dear, now do you have a name?” Asked Jenny helping him to his feet. He looked at her, smiled, and said,
“King”
