Chapter Text

At the World Wipers Studio, the lights came on to show the stage where Smithsonia stood and the Game Masters sat while the audience around them roared. “Ladies, gentlemen, and everything in between, welcome back to another episode of World Wipers!” Smithsonia called, making the audience erupt into cheers, “Once again, we’re trying to wipe the planet Earth, but this time we have a special guest, everyone say hello to our Producer, Diremond!”

A cloud of yellow particles swirled onto the stage, coalescing into Diremond’s towering form after a few moments. He gave the excited audience a casual wave as he kept his eyes on Smithsonia as he approached her. “A pleasure being able to join you this episode, my dear Smithsonia,” Diremond said before turning around to face the audience, “I have quite the entertaining idea in mind for this wipe.”

“That’s right, folks!” Smithsonia said with a laugh as she looked at the audience, “For the first time in World Wipers history, our Producer will be the one to wipe a planet!”

Cubole laughed in response, “Pretty excitin’, huh?”

“Hope you do a good job, boss,” Stabinnit replied, crossing his arms.

Bismind then spoke up, “So, Producer, why don’t you tell the audience what your plan for this wipe is?”

“A splendid idea, Bismind,” Diremond replied with a nod, slowly turning to the audience, “Our long-time viewers should know that we typically give a little… “reward” to any planets that last particularly long in our little game, so that’s what I’m going to give Earth. Though I will be giving a little twist on it to make things a little more interesting for our Ranger friends. To that end, Bismind will be assisting in this little endeavor.”

Bismind nodded as he stood up, producing the metallic pill-like device that Diremond had given him previously, “Indeed I will.”

“Excellent,” Diremond replied as he looked at the Game Master, before shifting position to look at both him and Smithsonia, “Smithsonia, you and him head to that human city known as Claw Coast and ready yourselves to put our plan in motion.”

“Of course, Producer,” Smithsonia replied.

Bismind noddded in response, “Right away.”

“Good luck!” Cubole called enthusiastically as he watched Smithsonia and Bismind approach the stage’s teleporter.

“Good luck, Smithsonia,” Stabinnit replied before looking at Bismind and speaking more begrudgingly, “and I guess good luck to you too, Bismind.”

Smithsonia gave the audience a small wave before she stepped onto the teleporter, “Stay tuned, the Rangers won’t know what hit them!” She stepped on the teleporter, disappearing through the floor in a stack of green energy coins.

“Indeed they won’t,” Bismind added before he too stepped onto the teleporter, being enveloped in a stack of cyan energy coins that disappeared into the floor, with him vanishing along with them.

Diremond chuckled as he turned to look at the audience, “Prepare yourselves, audience, for the destruction of Earth and the greatest episode of World Wipers ever put to television.”

“How did we get wrapped up into this?” Brooke asked  as she and the other animen stood in a backyard, all of their faces decorated with clown makeup as a child beat up a piñata in front of them.

“Oh come on, Brooke,” Rory chuckled, “we might look… weird but don’t you want to make some kids happy?”

“I don’t care about making kids happy, I look hideous!” Winter quietly sobbed as she looked into a small handheld mirror.

Travis walked into view, not wearing makeup and instead holding a small plate and eating a cake off of it, “Hey, Mike said he needed help with a big party today, besides, I promised you guys some extra spending money if you came and helped out.” He glanced to the side, watching as Mike made a balloon animal for some kid.

“I suppose making fools of ourselves is a small price to pay for that,” Ivor sighed.

Brooke shook her head, “What would the Cubeasts say if they could see us now?”

On the roof of the house, the miniature Cubeasts had gathered out of sight of the party’s other attendees, seemingly laughing to themselves.

“Oh come on, guys, you gotta learn to laugh at yourself sometimes,” Rory replied, crossing his arms behind his head.

Ivor rolled his eyes, “Easy for you to say.”

“How much longer do I have to have this on my face, Travis?” Winter asked tinily.

“Calm down, Winter,” Travis replied, putting a hand on her shoulder as he stood next to her, “it’s gonna be like, thirty more minutes, after that we’ll head home.”

Brooke looked around, smiling, “I suppose it’s nice to be able to help out people when we aren’t Rangers.” As she looked around, she noticed a kid standing all alone, “How about we go cheer her up?”

“One sec,” Winter said before pulling out the mirror again and fixing her makeup, “alright, now.”

The four animen approached her, with Ivor honking his nose, Winter handing her a slice of cake while Brooke handed her a balloon, meanwhile, Rory did a little dance. The girl giggled as she watched the four of them before running off to tell her mom.

“Guess the kids really like you,” Travis said with a grin as he walked up to the four animen from behind, finishing off his slice of cake.

Rory chuckled, “They sure do!”

“It’s nice,” Brooke replied, “being able to be reminded of everything that we’re fighting for on Earth.”

Ivor nodded, “I have to agree.”

“Yeah, sometimes it’s easy to worry so much about whatever World Wipers will do next that you just… forget the little things,” Winter replied.

Travis smiled, “Well, today we can just sit back, relax, and make kids happ-”

Suddenly, the four animen’s tails stood on end. Travis sighed, “Guess I spoke too soon.”

“We need to go,” Brooke replied, “now.”

“Uh Mike!” Travis yelled, prompting Mike to turn around.

“Yeah?” Mike asked.

“Uhhh, Rory dislocated his hand tying a balloon animal, me and the others are gonna take him to the hospital!” Travis replied.

Mike gave a confused look, “How do you dislocate your hand tying a balloon animal?”

“Don’t worry about it!” Travis called as he and the other Rangers ran out of view.

Mike shook his head with exasperation.

The animen had finished wiping off the makeup from their faces as they and Travis had arrived near the outskirts of Claw Coast. At the moment, a horde of jetpack-wearing Crewbons, larger than any the Rangers had fought previously, was wreaking havoc on the ground. “That’s way too many Crewbons,” Brooke stated as she took in the sheer number of them.

Rory cracked his knuckles and pulled out his blasted, “Eh, nothing we can’t handle.”

Travis, noticing that Winter looked a bit apprehensive, turned to face her, “What’s wrong?”

“I dunno, something weird’s going on,” Winter replied.

Travis gave her a confused look, “What do you mean?”

“Well for starters, it doesn’t look like there’s a Player anywhere,” Ivor replied.

“An astute observation, Green Ranger,” Smithsonia said as she stepped into view.

“Smithsonia!” Travis called out as he and the other Rangers got into fighting stances.

Smithsonia continued, “There is no Player for this episode, but we do have a very special guest. The Producer of World Wipers, Diremond!”

“Well where exactly is this guy?” Brooke asked, crossing her arms.

Immediately, every Crewbon froze in place, allowing those they were attacking to run away. Very slowly, the Crewbons collectively turned their heads in perfect unison to stare at the Rangers, before talking in Diremond’s raspy feminine voice in sync, “Hello, Rangers.”

“Oh absolutely not!” Winter called as she recoiled in horror alongside the other Rangers.

“They can speak?” Travis asked with disbelief.

One Crewbon stepped forward, “It’s a pleasure to finally meet-”

Rory immediately shot the Crewbon in the head with his blaster, making it slump to the ground, dead. Immediately, another Crewbon stepped forward, continuing on from the first as though nothing had happened, “The ones who have been giving my show such good ratings.”

“What the heck’s going on?” Rory asked with horror and confusion.

Ivor stared at the horde of Crewbons in shock, “What are you?”

“A simple question,” one Crewbon said.

“The Crewbons are my cells,” another continued.

A third then spoke, “And I am the collective consciousness of each and every one.”

“Perhaps this will give a better idea of what I truly am,” a fourth said.

With that, the Crewbons used their jetpacks to fly into the air, arranging themselves into a massive, floating version of Diremond’s head, which stared down at the Rangers.

“Why are you here?” Travis demanded with a scowl, looking up at the colossal floating head.

“Your planet has the honor of being the longest-lasting one ever to be on World Wipers, in no small part thanks to you,” Diremond’s floating head said before continuing, “I believe you deserve a GIFT for that record.”

“You really think that we’d want a gift from you?” Brooke snarled at the head.

Travis nodded, “The only gift we’d accept is you leaving Earth alone!”

“I had figured that you would say that,” Diremond’s floating head replied, “but I promise you I can be very convincing.”

At the World Wipers Studio, Diremond extended his hand forward, yellow energy glowing around it.

A massive dome of yellow energy then began to appear, completely covering all of Claw Coast, with the Rangers being relatively close to one of the edges. “Huh?” Rory asked as he looked at the dome with confusion.

“What is this?” Brooke added, sounding equally confused.

“My dear Smithsonia, as my host, why don’t you explain?” Diremond’s floating head inquired, turning its attention from the Rangers to the android in question.

Smithsonia nodded, “Of course, Producer.” She turned her attention to the Rangers, “This barrier will atomize any and all organic life that it comes in contact with. Over the course of the next hour, the barrier will shrink until all life in this city is eradicated.”

“What?” the Rangers asked with collective shock and horror.

Smithsonia gave a nod, and on cue the edge of the barrier slowly began creeping inwards, destroying all the grass and trees it passed over. “If you head to the center of this city and retrieve the GIFT from Game Master Bismind that our Producer has so graciously decided to give you, then he’ll disable the barrier.”

Diremond’s floating head nodded, “Thank you, my dear Smithsonia.” He turned his attention back towards the Rangers, “If you don’t want the blood of an entire city on your hands during your last moments, Rangers, then you will go and retrieve the GIFT I have rewarded you with. Surely that should be reason enough to accept, yes?”

Travis glared at Diremond, “What about all the blood on your hands, Diremond? Are the lives of people just some kind of sick game for you?”

“Yes,” Diremond responded bluntly and without an ounce of hesitation.

Travis seemed taken aback by the Producer’s words, “Wh-why? How can you see things that way?”

“Because it makes for good television,” Diremond responded, “I must bid you farewell, Rangers. You have an hour to decide if your lives and the lives of everyone else in this city are worth the price of rejecting my GIFT.” The head turned to face Smithsonia, “Let’s take our leave, my dear Smithsonia.”

Smithsonia gave a nod, “Of course, Producer.”

The Crewbons that had comprised Diremond’s head flew upwards, exiting a hole that had formed in the dome that closed just as fast as it had opened.

Smithsonia looked at the Rangers one last time, “Let’s hope you make the right decision, Rangers.” With that, a stack of green energy coins formed around her and enveloped her before shooting off into the sky, taking her with it.

“This is bad,” Winter said with horror, “like, really, really bad!”

“What do we do?” Rory asked, “We can’t really let that guy tell us what to do, right?”

Ivor tried to compose himself before answering, “What other choice do we have?”

“People are going to die if we don’t act quickly,” Brooke replied.

Rory seemed shocked, “We’re really trusting the guy who destroys planets because it makes for good television? What about the Megazords?”

“It looks like the barrier is too small for them to fit,” Ivor replied.

Travis took a deep breath and shook his head, “As much as I hate to say it, we’re gonna have to play by his rules if we don’t want people dead.” Travis looked down the street, “Come on, the heart of Claw Coast isn’t too far away, we can probably get there before the barrier does any real damage.” Travis broke into a sprint, with the others following behind him as the barrier slowly shrank.

As Smithsonia returned to the World Wipers studio, Stabinnit chuckled, “Heh, if me and Cubole couldn’t beat the Rangers, what chance does that brainiac have?”

“Have faith, Stabinnit,” Diremond replied as he turned to look at his subordinate, “Bismind should be more than capable of handling himself.”

“It would still be a shame if he only lasted one season though,” Cubole added.

Smithsonia then spoke up herself, “Well, we’re just going to have to wait and see!” The screen above the stage turned on, showing Bismind sitting on a seat outside a cafe as people around him ran around and panicked.

The Rangers approached the cafe, spotting where Bismind was sitting. “You must be Bismind then, the third Game Master?” Travis asked the Game Master.

“Uh, what exactly are you doing man?” Rory added as Bismind sat the cup he was drinking from down.

“Bismind is a name you can call me, yes,” Bismind said as he stood up to look at the Rangers, “As for what I’m doing, I’m simply sampling a bit of this planet’s culture before it’s turned into a barren wasteland.

“Whatever,” Brooke said as she stepped forward, “hand over whatever Diremond wants us to have.”

Bismind gave a small chuckle, “No need to be so rude, Sharp Tooth in the Seas.”

Everyone seemed taken aback by Bismind’s statement “How do you know her real name?” Ivor demanded.

“I may be the newest Game Master, Quaking Stomp in the Forest, but I know lots of things,” Bismind replied, “Many cultures on this planet say that knowing something’s true name gives one control over it.”

Winter looked confused, “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I’ve been watching you for awhile, and I have to say I share the Producer’s sentiment about you being very entertaining,” Bismind said, brushing off the question as he raised his hand to his face, his pinky finger extended, “It seems I didn’t make a mistake picking this world to be wiped.”

You were the one who picked Earth?” Travis asked angrily, “Everything we’ve had to deal with is because of you?”

“In the grand scheme of things, yes,” Bismind answered, “Though only Barbarrel and Audream were my Players.”

“I don’t care which Players were yours!” Travis called as he and the others got into fighting stances, “You’re going down and we’re taking that gift, Bismind!”

Rory nodded, “We’ve already taken down Stabinnit and Cubole once, what’s one more Game Master?”

“I was hoping our blades would meet,” Bismind said as he pulled out a strange looking blaster, its muzzle resembling an open human mouth with a nose above it, “I’m quite interested in seeing what you all are capable of firsthand.” With that, a rapier-like blade extended from out of the muzzle’s mouth, acting as a sort of tongue.

“Well we won’t leave you waiting!” Rory called as he and the others pulled out their Morphers.

“Eagle!”

“Shark!”

“Lion!”

“Elephant!”

“Tiger!”

The five were surrounded by colorful energy, which died down to reveal them in their Ranger forms. They each pulled out their personal weapons, readying themselves to combat the Game Master.

Bismind also readied himself, but as he did, multiple duplicates of him came into existence around him.

“What the heck?” Winter asked with shock.

The Bisminds collectively chuckled, “Well five against one is hardly fair, isn’t it?”

“It doesn’t matter how many of you there are!” Brooke called.

Ivor nodded, “We’ll take you all on!”

“I expect nothing less from this group of Earth’s defenders,” the Bisminds said before charging at the Rangers.

The Bisminds stabbed and slashed at the Rangers with their rapiers. The Rangers each managed to dodge their strikes and retaliate with strikes of their own, but the Bisminds managed to dodge the attacks. It wasn’t until one of their rapiers struck Rory’s shield but there were no visible effects of the impact that it appeared something was off. “It’s like he didn’t even hit me!” Rory called out to the others.

Just then, Brooke hit one of the Bisminds with a pressurized jet of water from her pistol, immediately making the Bismind dissolve into motes of cyan light. “Huh?” Winter asked as she watched the Bismind disappear.

“They must be illusions!” Ivor called as he slammed his hammer into another Bismind, making it dissolve as well.

Brooke nodded as Rory struck a Bismind with his shield next to her, “We still need to be careful though, there’s no telling which one’s the real deal!”

Travis thought for a moment as Winter stabbed a fourth Bismind before he called out to the others, “I’ve got an idea, everyone duck!”

The Rangers did as they were told, ducking down as Travis extended his sword into its whip form. He spun around with the whip outstretched, slashing through every Bismind at once and making them all disappear in the process. “What the heck? None of them were real?” Rory asked as he and the other Rangers stood up, looking around to try and spot the Game Master.

A strange cyan glow with rainbow streaks in it appeared behind Brooke, with Bismind appearing as it died down. He held the handle more like a blaster this time, its blade retracted as he aimed it at Ivor from beside Brooke’s head. He fired a cyan blast from the “mouth,” striking Ivor in the leg and making him topple over as Brooke fell to the ground with a scream, clutching the sides of her helmet due to the blaster being fired right next to her head.

“I must thank Decibelle for discovering such an easily exploitable weakness,” Bismind said as he looked down at Brooke.

“Get away from her!” Winter called as she charged forward at the Game Master, attempting to strike him only for Bismind to block it with his rapier after the blade had extended. Cyan electricity leapt around the blade of the rapier, jumping to Winter’s spear and shocking her, making the animan stagger back.

Just then, Rory managed to get behind Bismind and put him in a headlock. “Travis! He’s open!” Rory called as he restrained the Game Master.

“Don’t be so sure, Roaring Hunter in the Savanna,” Bismind replied before using the back of the blade-like appendage on his left arm to jab Rory in the chest, making him let go and stagger back.

At that point, Ivor had finally recovered from being shot in the leg, taking a few swings at Bismind with his hammer, but the Game Master easily dodged each swing. “Hold still!” Ivor called as he took a swing at Bismind.

“If you wish,” Bismind said as he stood still as the hammer struck him, dissolving into cyan particles. A cyan glow with rainbow streaks appeared beside Ivor, with Bismind appearing from it. Bismind then delivered a quick, diagonal slash with the blade on his left forearm before Ivor could react, creating a shower of sparks as Ivor staggered back.

“Take this!” Travis called, swinging his whip at Bismind, but the Game Master quickly wrapped the whip around his rapier, using it to pull Travis closer. Travis retracted his whip back into a sword and took a few swings at the Game Master but Bismind deftly blocked the attacks with his rapier. After blocking and dodging a few strikes, Bismind jabbed his rapier forward, but Travis managed to get his sword over it and force both blades to the ground.

“You’re going to need to be more clever than that,” Bismind said as he retracted the blade of his rapier, and before Travis had a chance to react, shot Travis in the chest repeatedly. Travis screamed as he was knocked back and sent rolling back across the ground towards the others.

“Ugh, this guy is way tougher than he looks,” Winter said as she looked at the others as they all tried to recover.

“I was expecting more from Power Rangers,” Bismind said nonchalantly as he waited for the Rangers to recover.

“We’re not through yet!” Rory called.

Bismind chuckled, “Prove it then.” He infused the blade-like appendage on his arm with shimmering, rainbow energy before swinging it and unleashing a rainbow-colored energy slash, which struck the Rangers and created an explosion

“Feral Fury!”

The Rangers charged forward in their Feral forms, with Travis holding his sword and blade. Brooke dived into the ground, swimming through it towards Bismind. Bismind simply shook his head, surrounding his rapier in electricity again before tapping the blade against the ground, sending electricity snaking across it. Brooke tried to surface, but was immediately shocked, knocking her backwards.

Rory charged at Bismind, attempting to slash him with his electrified claws but Bismind dodged the attack and slashed him instead.

Winter then swung her claws, unleashing a barrage of pink energy boomerangs at Bismind. Bismind in turn quickly empowered his rapier with cyan energy before swinging it, sending out a cyan energy slash that cleaved through Winter’s energy boomerangs and struck her, knocking her into a wall.

Ivor stomped his foot and sent a green energy shockwave towards Bismind, though the Game Master sidestepped it. Once he had dodged the attack, he retreated the blade of his rapier, replacing it with a black whip. He used it to lash Ivor repeatedly, sending the animan reeling back in pain.

Travis soared around Bismind, which Bismind took note of. He retracted the whip and began firing his blaster at Travis, but Travis managed to maneuver around each shot. From there, Travis flew towards Bismind in a flaming spiral, preparing to strike Bismind. The Game Master then extended his rapier again, blocking Travis’s blades with his own and forcing Travis to the ground in front of him.

“If you want to defeat me, Travis, then you better think of something fast,” Bismind said as his blades were locked with Travis’s own, “Unless you want everyone in this city to die.”

Travis growled, pulling his blades back and backflipping off of Bismind and slashing Bismind across the chest with both of his blades before landing back on the ground, the strike creating an eruption of brown-black liquid that could’ve either been oil or blood.

Bismind staggered back in pain, as Travis landed, gathering with the other Rangers and returning to their normal forms. “Time to end this!” Travis called as he and the others pulled out their blades, infusing them with colorful energy.

“Feral Claw Cra-”

“Do it and everyone in this city dies,” Bismind said, now having recovered and pulling out the pill-like device.

Travis and the others paused, with Winter being the one to speak up, “What’s that supposed to be?”

“It must be that supposed gift that Diremond wanted to give us,” Ivor replied.

Bismind nodded in response, “Precisely, surely you don’t want to destroy me when I have this, do you? If it’s destroyed with me, Diremond will never allow this city to survive.”

Travis slowly lowered his blade, the energy disappearing from it, the others then following suit.

“Exactly what I thought,” Bismind replied with a chuckle, raising his free hand in front of his head and extending his pinky. Before the Rangers could react, he infused the blade on his arm with rainbow energy once again and launched a rainbow energy slash at the Rangers, creating an explosion that knocked them to the ground and made them unmorph.

“Here,” he then tossed the device towards the Rangers, with Travis quickly getting to his feet to grab it.

“What are you doing?” Travis asked as Bismind turned to begin walking away while he and the other Rangers tried to recover.

“Me?” Bismind replied, looking over his shoulder at the Rangers, “I’ve had my fun, now it’s just about time to watch the fireworks.”

“Fireworks?” Brooke asked, but Bismind was already surrounded by a stack of cyan energy coins that shot into the sky, leaving the Rangers behind with the device.

“Well, that was weird,” Rory said as he looked at the others.

Bismind appeared back at the World Wipers Studio, stepping off the teleporter while Smithsonia stepped onto it, disappearing.

“Good job out there, Bismind!” Cubole congratulated as the audience roared in agreement, “I think you gave them a worse beating than I did.”

Stabinnit didn’t seem nearly as enthused, “Yeah, I guess you did better than I thought.”

“Thank you,” Bismind replied, “but the real fun has yet to begin, right, Producer?”

Diremond gave a nod, “Exactly, Bismind.” He extended his hand, yellow energy glowing around it.

Just then, the energy barrier above began to disappear, leaving the sky clear. “Guys, the barrier’s gone!” Winter noted as she pointed up to the sky.

“Huh, I suppose Diremond kept his word after all,” Ivor replied.

Travis looked at the device in his hands skeptically, “I don’t know, this all still seems really fishy.” Travis was proven right mere moments later, when the device flew from his hands and began hovering a few feet away from the Rangers.

“What the heck?” Brooke asked as she and the others got into fighting stances.

The device then opened, with a great deal of machinery folding out from it and assembling itself into a humanoid form. Within a few moments, a robot stood in front of the Rangers, with the two halves of the device situated on top of its shoulders. It had a pair of large pincers for arms, with guns mounted on top of each, with a pair of smaller arms extending from the sides of its chest, one ending in a circular saw and the other a drill. Mounted on its waist were more weapons, these ones being a pair of vertical, slit-shaped red energy cannons. Its head extended a bit out from its body, being mostly black but with red marks that vaguely resembled a smiling face.

Immediately, the machine fired a red energy beam from one of its pincers, using it to slice across the ground towards the Rangers, but they managed to dodge to either side before it struck where they were, creating a massive explosion.

“What the heck?” Rory asked with shock and confusion.

“Is it some kind of Player?” Brooke inquired urgently.

Ivor shook his head, “It can’t be, I didn’t sense any bloodlust from that thing at all!”

From the laser cannons on its waist, the robot fired red energy projectiles at the Rangers that curved to try and hit them, though they managed to avoid them and narrowly escape the resulting explosions when the projectiles hit the ground.

“How is this a gift?” Travis asked once he recovered, looking  at the robot in horror as it fired more projectiles that struck buildings and tried to hit people, creating massive explosions.

The animen’s tails stood on end as Smithsonia appeared from atop a nearby building, speaking to the Rangers below, “Oh but it is a GIFT, Rangers, Genocide Initiating Fighting Technology!”

“So this was a trap all along!” Winter yelled at Smithsonia.

“Exactly,” Smithsonia replied with a nod, “I made it to reward any planets our Players can’t wipe by wiping them with it instead.” A hologram appeared in front of her, showing GIFT laying waste to another planet with lasers and surrounded by flaming buildings, “During my test run of it, it destroyed ten planets, not counting the ones we had it wipe for the show.”

“That’s barbaric!” Brooke called. Just then, GIFT turned its attention back to the Rangers.

“Guys, we’ve gotta take this thing down now!” Travis called as he pulled out his Morpher, prompting the others to do the same, “It’s morphin’ time!”

“Eagle!”

“Shark!”

“Lion!”

“Elephant!”

“Tiger!”

They were surrounded by light, which died down to reveal them in their Ranger forms.

“Eagle’s wings, Red-”

Just then, GIFT opened fire on the Rangers with the guns mounted on its pincers. “Alright, let’s not do that!” Travis called before he and the others readied their blades and charged at GIFT, “Time to send you to the scrap heap!”

As the Rangers charged, GIFT fired more curving projectiles from its waist cannons, but the Rangers managed to either dodge them or block them with their blades. Travis attempted to deliver a jumping slash to GIFT, but the machine seemed to process what he was trying to do instantly and sidestepped it.

Brooke tried to slash it, but it blocked her blade with one of its pincers before knocking Travis to the ground with the other by hitting him in the leg. The other Rangers joined Brooke in attempting to slash GIFT, but it repeatedly blocked their strikes with its pincers, even spinning around to block Brooke and Ivor’s while striking Rory and Winter in the process.

Travis managed to get to his feet as GIFT continued striking the other Rangers with its pincers in between blocking their strikes. Once he had gotten to his feet, all the Rangers tried to strike GIFT, but it ended up catching all their blades with its pincers. It forced the Rangers back before jabbing Brooke and then spinning around to strike Rory and kicking Ivor from behind it. Travis tried to land a hit but it blocked it and forced him to the side before striking Winter, who had gotten in between him and the machine. Travis tried to slash GIFT, but it batted his blade away and slammed its pincer into him, knocking him to the ground alongside the others.

Rory roared. “Now’s not the time for profanity, Rory!” Ivor yelled.

“Who cares! This thing is crazy strong!” Brooke yelled as she and the others tried to recover. As they did, a red light on GIFT’s chest lit up and blue electricity gathered in its pincers. It held its arms out to the side just as the Rangers got up, striking them with branching electricity that made them scream.

“I must say, Smithsonia engineered quite the impressive machine, Producer,” Bismind said as he looked to Diremond.

Diremond gave a nod in response, “I’m sure she’d appreciate the compliment, Bismind.”

“Hate to say it, but I agree with you, Bismind,” Stabinnit said, “nothing the Rangers have could possibly stand up to GIFT.”

Cubole chuckled, “Without any bloodlust to detect, those animen couldn’t have seen this coming at all, I can’t wait to see the bloodbath!”

As the audience cheered, Diremond watched as the Rangers were shocked and screamed. “Yes Rangers, scream louder, give the audience all the more reason to cheer!” Diremond laughed.

Once the electricity from GIFT’s pincers had stopped, the Rangers tried to recover.

“Feral… Fury!”

The Rangers all shifted into their Feral forms, surrounding GIFT. Travis flew off while Brooke dived into the ground, meanwhile, Rory, Ivor, and Winter all charged towards the machine.

Rory tried to strike GIFT with his electrified claws, but it blocked the attack with its pincers before knocking Rory onto the ground with its other pincer. Winter tried to slash the machine as well, but it batted her away before the attack had a chance to connect. Ivor attempted to kick it, but once again it blocked it with its pincers, and Ivor was forced onto the ground from the pain of striking it.

Brooke flew towards GIFT like a buzzsaw, but it caught her in its pincers and tossed her at Travis, knocking him out of the air.

Rory and Winter tried to strike the machine from both sides, but it grabbed Ivor’s arm and used him as a human shield, taking the attacks for it before letting him go and blasting all three Rangers with a red shockwave from its chest, knocking them to the ground where Travis and Brooke were already knocked prone.

As the Rangers tried to get to their feet, GIFT unleashed another barrage of projectiles from its waist cannons, striking each Ranger repeatedly and knocking them out of Feral mode and onto the ground once more.

“How is this thing so strong?” Ivor asked.

Rory nodded, “And it being so fast too is so unfair!”

Travis was the first Ranger to get to his feet, albeit shakily, “We’re not… down for the count…. yet!”

“Feral… Fury!”

Travis changed into his gorilla form and leapt towards GIFT, intent on striking it from above.

Immediately, GIFT was surrounded by golden flames, becoming giant in an instant and kicking Travis away by barely moving its leg.

Travis slammed into a wall and fell to the ground as the other Rangers ran towards him, “Travis!”

“Are you okay?” Winter asked as she and the others helped him up.

Brooke looked up at the massive GIFT, “We didn’t even beat that thing yet, how is it giant?”

GIFT began marching through Claw Coast, destroying buildings with its drill, saw, pincers, and even simply by walking next to them. People ran in terror as Smithsonia watched from atop her perch, “You should be thankful, Rangers! GIFT is highly efficient at wiping planets, consider it a mercy!”

“Who cares if it’s a mercy? We’re  not letting that thing destroy our planet!” Travis called as he and the other Rangers sent out all six main Cubeasts.

“Eagle Cubeast Zord!”

“Shark Cubeast Zord!”

“Lion Cubeast Zord!”

“Elephant Cubeast Zord!”

“Tiger Cubeast Zord!”

“Gorilla Cubeast Zord!”

Travis leapt into the Gorilla Cubeast Zord while the others jumped into their own respective Zords, but all of them got into position to combine.

“King of the beasts, Feral Megazord!”

“Jungle giant, Savage Megazord!”

The two Megazords were in their default combinations, standing ready to battle GIFT.

“Life isn’t meant to be played with!” Travis yelled as the Feral Megazord stepped forward to take a swing at GIFT, but the machine didn’t react to the strike at all and batted the Megazord away with its pincers. The Megazord tried to strike again, but GIFT easily blocked the attacks.

The Savage Megazord joined the Feral Megazord, getting into position to shoot GIFT point blank.

“Cubic Cleave!”

“Beastial Beam!”

Before either Megazord could attack, GIFT grabbed their weapons in its claws. It then cut into the Feral Megazord with its saw and drill before blasting the Savage Megazord with the gun atop its pincer, sending both Megazords staggering back and onto the ground in a shower of sparks.

“GIFT, run Command: Exterminate,” Smithsonia asked from the rooftop.

GIFT bent down towards the Megazords, blue electricity and green energy gathering in its pincers.

“This is bad!” Brooke called.

“No way we can withstand the energy it’s gathering!” Ivor added.

“Don’t worry Rangers, this isn’t Command: Exterminate’s full power,” Smithsonia chuckled, “Normally it can destroy planets in one blast, but this weaker version should still be more than enough to deal with you!”

Travis snarled, “Not if we can help it!”

The two Megazords stood up as GIFT began slicing through buildings with green energy beams from its claws, eventually striking the two Megazords. In an instant, both Megazords were blown into their constituent parts as the Rangers screamed.

The Rangers were knocked from their cockpits, unmorphing as they hit the ground, with Travis separated from the others.

At the World Wipers Studio, Stabinnit chuckled, “Those Rangers are done for!”

“First them, and then this planet,” Bismind added.

Cubole shrugged, “Shame, I kinda wanted to fight them one more time.”

“Are you not entertained?” Diremond asked as he turned to face the audience, which roared in response.

Travis looked up to see a piece of a crumbling building break off, falling down towards him. He braced for impact, but as he did, the debris was broken to pieces by purple slashes.

Travis craned his neck to see what was responsible, and there he saw the condor animan, standing there and wielding a purple version of his Eagle Feather Sword. “You…” Travis said as he looked at the animan.

Notes:

Condor Feather Sword

Alright, a few things to say for this chapter. Yes, I’m doing the “Diremond is made of Crewbons” reveal earlier, it was an interesting concept that really shouldn’t have been saved for the end of the series. That’s why Diremond’s voice came from Crewbons in previous chapters, and from here on out he’ll occasionally use it to taunt the Rangers. As for GIFT, I kept its name the same because I liked it and thought the name would be fitting for how the villains are themed. As for why I said it had a smile, it actually does have a smiley face, kinda. I also included the picture of Bismind’s weapon because it’s hard to describe. Anyways, comments are welcomed and appreciated, as are contributions to the TV Tropes page.
