Lance: WALLACE WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN

Lance: Actually, no, I’m on my way

Wallace: Lance, it’s a mess here, I don’t think ur presence would be appreciated

Alder: Well, there’s no stopping Lance u know

Alder: Once he says he’s doing smth, he’s definitely doing it

Diantha: Considering the circumstances, it certainly makes a lot of sense why he’s really upset

Cynthia: Oh definitely, especially since Team Rocket is involved, there’s no stopping that man from being really angry

Steven: I wished I can do smth, but I can’t, I’m still on bed rest at the moment

Leon: Which makes sense for you, we know your on bedrest and can’t do anything

Steven: Well, yeah

Steven: What I really mean is that I can’t do smth about Lance coming to borrow Metagross

Steven: Me and Dragonite are worried cuz he knew he grabbed my pokemon and not the Dragonite that I’m playing cards with

Diantha: What

Cynthia: Nvm, whoever Lance is after is absolutely fucked at that point

Cynthia: I’m sorry Steven, sounds like ur gonna need to get Dragonite to go stop the guy from causing havoc

Steven: sigh

Leon: That sigh of disappointment makes me feel scared

Diantha: Surprisingly, I can agree with that

Cynthia: the fact we ALL can hear it says how bad this situation is

Cynthia: well, mainly the fact that Steven is currently the main person here to keep Lance passive

Cynthia: I still have questions to how that happened in the first place, I get that Steven is nice, but what did Lance see or know that made him gravitate towards the beloved rock lover? ._.

Leon: I think we all wants answers honestly

Wallace: I want to know if they’re finally dating

Wallace: Just so I can threaten Lance

Alder: Well damn, this is why no one ever gets on Lance bad side, ever

Wallace: I was on the receiving end of Steven sigh of Disappointment, admittedly, it makes you feel so guilty that you can’t help, but speak the honest truth or else

Diantha: what happened if you don't?

Wallace: It likes having your mother give you The Disappointed look And you can't lie to them without getting into a heap of trouble anyways

Wallace: That and looking at a sad Steven is like looking at a sad pokemon who is ready to cry hurts

Wallace sighs as he puts away his phone, knowing full well that any minute now, Lance will show up at the Cerulean Gym in a not so happy manner. It’s one thing to deal with the incompetence of how the Gym is being run, it’s another when Team Rocket is involved. Even now as he glares down at the Rocket Admin he has his Milotic beaten into a state of unconsciousness for him to tie up.

Admittedly, he was hoping that the mess that Lance wanted him to deal with wouldn't be THIS chaotic, but alas, he should have realized that this would happen once he brought it up. Almost everything that man has said always tends to actually happen in such a scarily accurate manner that it makes him wonder just how he knows in such details. Almost. There were bound to be things that he wouldn't know, like the fact that there had been a Rocket Admin hiding in plain sight for three years.

Now, he shudders to think what will happen now that he found out. It's already worrisome that the Pewter Gym had an inspection and help sent due to the family circumstances no one has seriously expected. Now there's the Cerulean Gym, he wonders if it would actually stay running considering the events that had occurred, truly, how had the Gym stayed running for so long, he wasn't entirely sure honestly. Or at all.

In the end, he just sighs as he continues to pondered just how his vacation turned out like this in the first place–

“Um, Wallace?” Said person blinked as he looked at the nervous looking Ash and an undoubtedly unhappy Misty. For a moment, Wallace almost forgot that the children were here, almost. Although it did worry him to see a nervous looking Ash. “Is something the matter, sweet child? And the young Gym Leader as well, you both look as though you have many things to say.”

Which is true, they do in fact look as though there were many things to be said, from Misty specifically from what he can tell. Maybe she's either utterly upset that Team Rocket has such an unexpected root in causing problems the last three years, or just plain angry that they had the audacity to break into the Gym and almost steal their pokemon in the first place. The fact it was the strangely silly Rocket Trio makes him think their appearance is going to become a common occurrence. Just thinking that alone gives him a headache he really doesn't want to deal with.

Not since Lance is on his way and he's utterly angry that he feels bad for whoever is going to suffer. He doesn't feel bad about that, they had it coming for hiding from Lance in such a way that he's going to be relatively pissed for awhile and no wants to be around–

“Since you're part of the League, you're likely to be someone with a high ranking since my sisters seem to respect you– can you officiate our battle?” Misty asked, seemingly determined for a reason, Ash nodded in agreement with Misty. “Yeah! Especially since the Rocket Trio kinda technically interrupted our battle earlier.”

Well, Wallace can’t exactly disagree with that, considering they were in the middle of a battle when the Rocket Trio decided to cause havoc, with a giant Vacuum no less. Even just thinking about how that came to be is starting to give him a headache, but he sighs as he seriously contemplates what to do here. He knows that Ash would deny taking the badge from the Sensational Sisters, despite the fact that this time he genuinely earned it through act of heroism, but he also knows that he’s still relatively salty about what the girls had done earlier.

He too is still relatively Disappointed in them for giving away the Cascade Badge without a single care in the world, he surely hopes they have a reason for doing such a thing otherwise Lance will not be merciful to them the moment he arrives–

“Wallace can most certainly officiate your battle, you certainly earned the right to do so.” The group flinch at the sudden interruption, although Wallace sighs, Misty is internally freaking out and Ash seems relatively happy. Especially since the speaker that just arrived happens to be Lance, a very unhappy Lance, but no one is going to point that out. Not since his unhappy demeanor is most certainly deserved considering the circumstances.

Wallace is pretty sure he's going to have a grand time reporting everything he witnesses to Lance soon, but he's also very sure that Lance has a soft spot for children if he's allowing Misty and Ash to have their rematch and allow Ash to earn his badge properly.

“Champion Lance! What brings you here suddenly? Is it about, um, what happened here?” Misty can’t help, but nervously questioned, she didn’t even know that he would be showing up at all, which Wallace can’t fault her for being so nervous. Lance appearing suddenly is either a good or extremely bad thing. Currently, with the situation they’re in, Wallace is very sure that the Cerulean Gym will most definitely be closed for a long while.

Especially considering, well, quite a lot of things really.

Admittedly, Wallace is the one who reported to Lance about the situation, which led to the man to appear, so he sent a silent apology to Misty.

Lance simply hums as he stares down at Misty, before nodding. “Yes. I am here in regards to some, not so very pleasant reports I have gotten. Especially with the involvement of Team Rocket.” Lance confirmed as he swiftly walked past them all and stared down at the captured Team Rocket admin, growling harshly upon recognizing them. “How disappointing, to think that someone like you had stooped so low to betray both the Kanto League and the Cerulean Gym.”

At this point, Wallace sighs as he turns around, ignoring the very familiar sound of Steven Metagross being sent out– he’s well aware that Lance has the pokemon due to Steven mentioning it in chat and decided to just direct Misty and Ash to a different area. Well, more like he just directed them to where Misty sisters await. They could postpone the battle to later, or tomorrow if they’re really unlucky but he has a feeling it’ll happen today regardless, they can all certainly ignore Lance's commitment to his terrifying method of interrogation.

That and today has been far too much to deal with, he’s sure that it’s better off for the kids to rest for the day anyways. Especially Misty and her Sisters, they’re going to have a very unpleasant time talking to Lance sadly.

And preparing the stage for Ash Gym Battle, that is certainly something they would have to make up for considering that the match was unfortunately interrupted.

[ Legendary Support Chat ]

Chosen One: So guys

Chosen One: my battle had been delayed :’)

Precious Gemstone: Why

Precious Gemstone: What happened?

Precious Gemstone: Aside from a very angry Lance showing up

Old Wanderer: Well, yeah we knew about that based on how Lance reacted in the other chat, but like, Ash what happened exactly?

Old Wanderer: Wallace hasn’t exactly told any of us what really happened

Precious Gemstone: What we do know is pretty vague

Chosen One: well, it's rlly infuriating and very weird, so I guess I can understand why Lance would be very upset, even Wallace was upset :(

Wayward Monarch: So, what did actually happened anyways?

Chosen One: Okay so

Chosen One: While on our way to the Cerulean Gym, Wallace decided it would be a good idea that I at least watch one of their performances, mostly for Wallace to see how impressive their skills are and to teach me that there's more than just battles that Trainers can do with their Pokemon. Which, I still don't really get honestly, it's pretty yeah, but that's mostly it

Precious Gemstone: Eh, it's more than the fact it's pretty, it's just terrifyingly impressive how extremely good their control are

Wayward Monarch: I don't get it either actually, Galar doesn't have any performance or contests rlly

Chosen One: See?

Chosen One: I'm not the only one that's confused here :/

Enchanted Performer: Let put it this way

Enchanted Performer: let say, I'm battling you sweet child and my Milotic uses a move that appears very pretty and distracting, right?

Chosen One: Yes… ?

Enchanted Performer: I could used that moment of distraction to attack, since it caught my opponent off guard, didn't it?

Chosen One: it could, but what does it have to do with performing and battling?

Enchanted Performer: sigh

Enchanted Performer: Ash, very pretty moves that looks innocent can actually be really powerful when you least expected it, not only that, but if your pokemon is very skilled in something they like, take for example, dancing, then they can used that skill of dancing to increased their stamina and speed to Dodge attacks pretty well

Chosen One: . - .?

Wayward Monarch: . - .?

Precious Gemstone: Wow

Precious Gemstone: they'll make for great friends and they haven't even known each other that long

Old Wanderer: To be fair, their first thought is battling and nothing else

Chosen One: Hey! That’s not true! We do think of other things besides battling! >:[

Wayward Monarch: Yeah!! >:<

Precious Gemstone: Sure, but anyways, can you pls continue?

Wayward Monarch: Yeah, what did happened? It sounded so normal at first

Chosen One: yeah so, after the performance was done and all, Wallace went with me to go registered for my battle and find a suitable time to schedule it, but while we were at it, we were told that the Gym Leaders were just giving out the badges to the trainers for free, which quite frankly, Infuriated me and Wallace, I more or less got really mad and threw the badge they tried to offer me away and yelled at them for doing such a thing in the first place, I didn't see Wallace reaction, but I knew he was really angry as well

Enchanted Performer: I am still very angry about it, personally I wouldn’t have been rude about it like you were, but I would have questioned why they would do such a thing in the first place

Enchanted Performer: Especially since they offended me on a personal level

Enchanted Performer: As a performer myself, that doesn’t stop me from doing my duties as either Champion of Hoenn or being the Sootopolis Gym Leader, I find a way to make it work, even combining both to make it all the more thrilling, but those girls?

Enchanted Performer: They’re Lucky to have Lance deal with them and not me

Old Wanderer: Well, understandable, but I srsly think encountering an unhappy Lance is never a good thing

Precious Gemstone: No one wants to meet an unhappy Lance

Chosen One: I haven’t rlly seen Lance that much, but everyone in Kanto and Johto knows a very unhappy Lance is Never a good thing ;-;

Chosen One: Anyways, so after getting really mad about what they done, they commented they they didn't have a stage nor any available pokemon to battle with, which didn't sit right with me at all. Especially since they were doing performance not too long ago and the fact that they do have plenty of pokemon that they had just used for it, even one of the pokemon look very interested in battle every time it got brought up, but still!

Chosen One: Then again that Seel looks really excited to try battle, which is kinda cute if it weren’t for what happened later

Old Wanderer: they srsly made excuses????

Precious Gemstone: Irresponsible, the three of them

Precious Gemstone: they're srsly not taking their jobs as Gym Leaders seriously as they should, I understand they have other things besides that, but still!

Precious Gemstone: the absolute disrespects >:(

Wayward Monarch: Wait, I just realized smth

Wayward Monarch: Did the receptionist told you this when you asked or the Gym Leaders themselves?

Enchanted Performer: The receptionist went to asked the Gym Leader…

Enchanted Performer: Oh

Dratini Dad: Yeah, it’s not Sisters fault this time

Dratini Dad: Also, Wallace, some of the things they’re doing now, like giving the Badges away for free isn’t smth they’re doing anymore, they stopped doing it awhile ago, well, completely anyway

Dratini Dad: Remember? The Walls of Texts containing so much information I sent??

Dratini Dad: I get that you can forget since you were interested in yelling at me, but it was still a lot of important information =_=”

Enchanted Performer:

Enchanted Performer: Right, forgot what you texted me yesterday -_-”

Precious Gemstone: Uh, hello?

Precious Gemstone: Context for everyone else please???

Chosen One: I don’t get it

Wayward Monarch: Me neither

Dratini Dad: Long story short, after the incident with Pewter Gym where the Mother was so irresponsible and left shortly after the first Gym Inspection of the Season, leaving the Gym Leader and his Father to care for their siblings alone and the Gym as well, this forces the Sisters to realize that if they don't put their act together and become responsible adults, they may very well lose custody over the youngest

Wayward Monarch: ⊙﹏⊙∥

Old Wanderer: Thats, really vicious but also at the same time, makes a lot of sense for you to threatened them with

Old Wanderer: Still very vicious of you

Chosen One: That, uh, yikes ∑(°口°๑)

Chosen One: I mean, at least that saves them a little?

Precious Gemstone: Isn't the receptionist also the same person that was the Rocket Admin who has been embezzling the gym fun and the girls money they've been getting from their performance?

Enchanted Performer: no, it was actually someone else, unless…

Dratini Dad: several people.

Dratini Dad: I'll explain later

Dratini Dad: Also in the records, the sisters did recently lost to 3 trainers in a row, then several more times and thus leaving them without anymore pokemon to battle this week alone, at least, the Pokemon that are already trained for the lower levels, they have high level pokemon for higher tier badges, but that would be overkill and they rather not risk any potential harm done to the trainers pokemon, especially since this is still early into the season

Dratini Dad: And the amount of clean up they have to do after each and every battle, the current pool they have is the only one that’s unaffected and ready for battle in all technicality

Chosen One: Yeah, after the mess, the sisters told us as such, even Misty couldn't believe that so many trainers beat them during the few weeks she was gone, even with this year Kanto league season only just recently starting, it’s definitely surprising

Enchanted Performer: admittedly, I did kinda knew, but not to this extent

Wayward Monarch: Wait, so like, what else happened?

Wayward Monarch: clearly there's more going on

Dratini Dad: potentially, but I have yet to receive any reports about it at the moment

Precious Gemstone: or you did and never found it

Dratini Dad: Sigh

Chosen One: can I continue explaining?

Old Wanderer: Please do, I wanna know how this lead to Wallace freaking out about the Giant Vacuum

Chosen One: Continuing, I got so upset that I decided to go asked the Gym Leaders myself, well, mostly Wallace and he had a big excuse since, well, he admitted to the Receptionist that he was actually here to evaluate the Gym Leaders skills. Which made the Receptionist freaked out and reluctantly let us through, I didn’t really hear the conversation that Wallace had with them, but it didn’t really sound pleasant, if anything, I am very sure they looked terrified upon seeing Wallace

Enchanted Performer: As they should ^-^

Chosen One: Eventually, after some talking, it’s been decided that I would have my proper Gym Battle with the 4th Gym Leader of Cerulean who is scheduled to come back today apparently, and for the Sisters to prepare the stage for our battle and talk to Wallace more. Idk what they were talking about honestly, I didn’t really understand what it was, didn’t sound like it made much sense to me really, but anyways so Misty showed up and I didn’t think much about it and talked to her about how disappointed I was in the Cerulean Gym

Chosen One: She didn’t seem that surprised honestly, but agreed that they should have done better, but after we talked about what happened, how apparently the Cerulean Gym has been suffering financially for awhile and that made the sisters mostly focused on performance to raised money not only for their Gym, but also to provide for Misty to grow up as normally as they could

Chosen One: And the bike cost

Dratini Dad: I’m going to fixed that issue with the finance as soon as I can

Dratini Dad: The sisters were aware that recently, someone had been embezzling their funds and reported it to me after they took a look at their records and noticing a severe difference between what they actually get and what they should have been getting

Wayward Monarch: Wait wait

Wayward Monarch: What’s wrong with the bike cost?

Precious Gemstone: Uh oh

Enchanted Performer: Hm? What’s wrong with the bike cost that it needed the sisters intervention?

Chosen One: Idk honestly?

Dratini Dad: Oh, about a 100k or so Poke Dollar

Precious Gemstone: WHAT

Old Wanderer: WTF?

Enchanted Performer: WTAF

Chosen One: Σ(っ °Д °;)っ

Wayward Monarch: WHAT KIND OF SCAMMER MAKES BIKES COST THAT MUCH????

Dratini Dad: I wonder the same thing unfortunately

Dratini Dad: But this isn’t for you to worry about for now and leave it be until I figured smth out

Chosen One: The price is scary

Precious Gemstone: Even I wouldn’t spend that much for smth like that

Precious Gemstone: And considering how the bike got destroyed by a single thunderbolt doesn’t help either

Wayward Monarch: I think whoever makes bikes in Kanto deserve to get arrested for scamming

Old Wanderer: Agreed

Old Wanderer: Now that I think about it, where is the Cerulean Sisters parents?

Dratini Dad: They’re Dead

Old Wanderer: What

Chosen One: ∑( 口 ||

Precious Gemstone: DEAD?!

Enchanted Performer: WTF????

Wayward Monarch: HOLY ARCEUS WHAT?

Chosen One: Um

Chosen One: Context pls? Q-Q?

Dratini Dad: They died some years ago in an accident, at least, as far as any records goes anyways, I rlly don’t have any idea what happened so no, don’t asked me, it happened before I was in the elite 4 at least

Precious Gemstone:

Precious Gemstone: Why do I have this ominous feeling we’ll be seeing a suspicious lack of responsible adults in the Kanto region?

Old Wanderer: I think you just jinx it Steven

Precious Gemstone: woops… ?

Chosen One: Anyways, so after the Stage was set up and everything, Misty offers to battle me to get the Cascade Badge, at first I was really confused, not understanding why she was saying that at all. Until she blatantly revealed that she's actually the 4th Gym Leader of Cerulean! I didn't even know about that at all! Does that mean I've been traveling with 2 Gym Leaders this entire time or something? Weird, but cool!

Enchanted Performer: oh so that's what you were doing while I was chatting with the sisters and helping them narrow them the possible traitor… And actually found, but that's a different report and matter

Old Wanderer: So, you left them unsupervised?

Old Wanderer:

Old Wanderer: is that even a good idea???

Precious Gemstone: doesn't seem that bad

Enchanted Performer: I see no problem technically

Wayward Monarch: Yeah, I see no problem with that

Dratini Dad: Ominous foreshadows in the distant future telling us otherwise

Enchanted Performer: Shut

Chosen One: So I was battling Misty with Pidgeotto and Butterfree, mostly since I did say that I wasn't going to battle with Pikachu cuz it didn't rlly seem fair. That and cause I wanted to at least let Butterfree a chance to battle at least once, but also cuz Pikachu didn't rlly want to battle Misty

Chosen One: and then during the middle of our battle, the Rocket Trio showed up via breaking into the Gym with a giant Vacuum and started to steal all of the pokemon that were in the water, and the water itself for some odd reason and we all struggled to fight against them for a bit until I lost Pikachu into the water, thankfully I do get Pikachu to use Thunderbolt to break free and everything!

Chosen One: Plus the Seel used ice beam and blasted the trio away, the little guy didn’t appreciate getting kidnapped like that

Precious Gemstone: wtf

Wayward Monarch: I

Wayward Monarch: I have no words to this

Old Wanderer: well, I hate to say this, but this sounds perfectly in character for you ಠ_ಠ

Enchanted Performer: and then 5 minutes later, I showed up questioning wtf happened with the other Cerulean Sisters, only to see the entire room utter trash. A broken wall, a giant broke vacuum, water everywhere, the pool looking as though it was almost entirely drained, generally just a ton of damages

Chosen One: That too

Dratini Dad: Oh so that’s why when I showed up, it look like the whole place was ransacked

Precious Gemstone: Sometimes, I srsly questioned how your regions league can stay standing for this long

Precious Gemstone: Like, genuinely, wtf?

Wayward Monarch: I think, at this point, you might as well just rebuild the Cerulean gym ;-;

Old Wanderer: Yeah, especially replaced the water, since, you know, Pikachu electrocuted it

Old Wanderer:  electrocuted water is NEVER pleasant

Wayward Monarch: You make it sound as though you spoke from experience which is worrisome

Old Wanderer: Perhaps

Dratini Dad; And I thought I’m the one with the ridiculous stories

Dratini Dad: Then again electricity hurts in general, the higher the voltage, the worst it is

Precious Gemstone: Why do you keep saying the most worrisome things here?

Dratini Dad: I have no idea

Enchanted Performer: Ugh, anyways, Ash get over here, we set up a temporary stage for you and Misty to finished ur battle and get your badge properly, that and for me to see how well Misty skills as a Gym Leader happens to be to report later

Chosen One: Okay :D

Dratini Dad: Good luck with that match

Precious Gemstone: Aww, we don’t get to watch or smth?

Dratini Dad: No

Enchanted Performer: No

Enchanted Performer: Ash can tell us all about his battle later, right now i just want to get this over with so I can go yoink the sweet child and go have fun spoiling him with treats

Precious Gemstone: Wait, wat about me?

Precious Gemstone: Am I still able to tag along?

Enchanted Performer: Are you healthy enough to do whatever?

Precious Gemstone: Besides using my phone and losing in Uno, not right now, no…?

Enchanted Performer: Then no

Precious Gemstone: D:

Wayward Monarch: RIP Steven, you’ll be remember :[

Old Wanderer; Oh, such tragedies

Dratini Dad: Roll the Timeskip

Wayward Monarch: What?

Wallace watched, pleasantly surprised, he hadn't expected for Misty to do well in her last Gym battle due to the circumstances of the Gym, despite the fact she lost to Ash anyways. Which he shouldn't be surprised by, but still is, especially with Ash's way of battling in a very interesting manner really. Admittedly, he did figure that Misty being as she is would inevitably lose, but he also knew that eventually in time, she will grow past her current attitude of complaining and being prideful to be a true and proper Gym Leader and Water Specialist.

Although he does have to say that he didn't like how she has been treated. Just because she wasn't like her sisters doesn't make it right for anyone to hurt her on a personal level. Even if he knew how messy her and her sisters' arguments are, it was still not an excuse to make fun of them.

Of course he scolded the girls for that, Lance may have informed him of the many things going on with the Gym and it's Leaders, well, he's pretty sure there's more but he has no way of knowing. Lance is… Unfortunately, he's very particular about the knowledge. Always yapping about how the main Champion Chat is compromised, but there's no full evidence of that being a thing, right?

Wallace sighs as he thinks about it more, quite frankly, he's pretty sure with how events are unfolding, the reveal of the official chats being compromised would actually end up true and he's not looking forward to that. At all. Unfortunately.

Nonetheless, he walks over to the exasperated Misty and a very happy Ash who had just won their battle, even the other Cerulean sisters seem impressed with Ash boundless energy. “Congratulations on winning your second badge, Ash.” Wallace congratulated as he patted the young trainer on the head, ignoring the confused stares from the girls, Ash simply just smiled brightly, even Pikachu seemed just as happy.

“Thanks! I’m happy I could win my battle and earn my badge properly!” Ash happily answers, seemingly proud of himself as he hums a happy little tune and puts away the badge for safe keeping. Wallace simply just smiled and nodded in agreement. “That’s true–”

“Despite everything that has happened, you did well to earn your second Gym Badge.” Everyone immediately stopped to stare at the approaching form of Champion Lance, to no one surprised, Wallace seems confused, Ash isn't, the Cerulean sisters were scared, but that was instantly turned into dumbfounded confusion when Lance chuckled. “Ah, do not mind me. I came here to inform the sisters that due to the extensive damages and clean up that will be happening, the Gym will be closed for the time being.”

Wallace stares, he can certainly see now that Lance was purposely scaring the other Gym Leaders just by existing, even when he still finds it weird that he could express anything besides the usual neutral or just being his terrifying self as usual. Although he’ll admit, he does also find it amusing that the other Gym Leaders just didn’t expect to see Lance smile, it’s hard not to when there’s Ash.

Ash is after all the most sweetest child he has ever met–

“Wallace, you may leave this matter to me, I can handle the rest myself, so go enjoy your vacation in the meantime.” Lance suggested as he smiles, Wallace simply stares at him for a good minute, then at the confused yet dumbfounded expression of the others before shrugging. Lance wasn't wrong and he didn't want to spend his vacation worrying about work when he made so much effort to get here so…

“Goodbye girls! I wish you luck with the paperwork you're gonna be subjugated to by Lance!” Wallace commented cheerfully as he didn't even hesitate to pick up Ash and Pikachu by the scruff and quickly left the gym as soon as possible. Only to stop for a moment, think, then turn back to pick up a startled Misty and leave. Quite frankly, Wallace may not want to deal with the paper work, but in actuality, he just wanted to spare the kids the absolute horrors of Lance being terrifying at the moment. Especially when it comes to paperwork, Lance spares no one.

Oh what ever, he might as well have dropped off the sweet child and his friend at the pokemon center, they all needed a break after the mess that happened today at the gym anyways. They can plan a whole day worth of him spoiling the sweet child another time, rest is truly what they all needed today.

Steven sighs as he drops the cards in defeat, he had once again lost a game of Uno to Dragonite and Mew, it was one thing for him to lose to Mew, it was a whole another matter when he lost to Dragonite. He’s still not sure he knew how the Dragon could even hold the cards in the first place considering they mostly had claws and paws for hands. It was truly baffling.

Yet despite how baffling the situation happens to be, Steven will admit that there’s some benefits to knowing that the Dragonite can do all sorts of things that they normally couldn’t. He remembers the first time he saw the Dragonite do Lance paperwork, it was very interesting to say the least. Which made him teach his own pokemon to somehow do something similar or at least answer his phone for the most part anyways.

Nonetheless, he was suffering the misery of losing Uno to a pair of Pokemon that really shouldn’t have been able to play the game, but alas– he did glare at the snickering Mew he has yet to name quite yet. He knows there’s a good name for them, he just hasn’t figured it out. Well, he’ll certainly figure it out in due time–

He jolted in surprise upon hearing the sound of the door opened and he turned to look at the stunned looking Lance. Who, in turn just stares at the whole scene, stunned.

It was pretty awkward, especially since Steven was miserably losing to Dragonite and Mew in a game of Uno–

“Steven, how long has Mew been here for?” He couldn't help, but question, Steven blanked, not sure how to answer that considering, well, he had Mew with them for quite a while, by quite awhile, he meant since shortly after Ash journey had started. Although, Steven may have to tell him as such considering the stare that Lance is giving him and the looks of defeat he could definitely sense from Mew and Dragonite.

“...Mew been with me since I got the Arc Phone?” Steven answered, a tad bit nervously, which isn’t wrong, it is pretty much the truth honestly, he just never actually mentioned their presence since there was mostly no reason for him to do so honestly.

Although, the longer Lance stares at him, the more nervous he feels, he has never gotten Lance to stare at him ominously for this long before and–

“Steven, we're going to need to have a talk about the fact you're losing to a pair of Pokemon at Uno.” Lance commented in utter disbelief that he's seriously losing to Dragonite and Mew in a game of Uno. It was certainly a jab that hurt Steven cause yes, he's well aware that he's losing against a Pseudo Legendary and a Mythical in a card game. Which, looking at it more, it's certainly depressing to witness.

Therefore, Steven sighs in defeat as he flopped to the ground dramatically, Mew simply gives him a Pat on the head in apology. Dragonite just rolled their eyes as they cleaned up the cards with Lance joining them. After all, it seems as though Steven wouldn’t be getting any bit of mercy here, well, it was either he loses at Uno against them or look at the absolute headache that is going to be the Champion Chat and perhaps the jealousy and worries of the Support Chat.

He’ll let Wallace enjoy his vacation properly this time–

“By the way, Starlight, we’re gonna need to talk about Mew eventually, after a few rounds of Uno, and you're taking your medicinal tea– don’t give me that look, you know you need to take it, especially after your recent injuries.” Steven scowls, but eventually relented, knowing full well that Lance was most certainly correct. He really did need to take his medicinal tea soon, but also because Lance called him Starlight.

A nickname that Lance had always wanted to call him as a term of endearment and love for a long time and after the very long conversation last night, they were finally able to do so, but also, he’s pretty weak to Lance being loving towards him. Although…

“I’m certainly not going to lose in this round of Uno this time!”

News flash, he ended up losing consistently for the next hour afterwards, much to the others amusement. Steven wasn't amused, he dramatically cried how unfair they are. Despite how much Lance tried to comfort him that it was okay, Steven was still suffering at the defeat.

Notes:

Haha-- Yeah, so congrats to Ash on finally getting his second badge! Quite a chaotic mess along the way, but he still manages to get it nonetheless! Sadly, none of the Champions besides Wallace and Lance got to see his battle, but that's enough for them to be satisfied with knowing he won legitimately anyways.

Oh and the return of Mew, featuring poor Steven consistently just losing to the pokemon at a game of Uno, somehow. Oh well, he'll be fine, for the most part at least.

Notes:

Yep, it's chaotic in a way I guess, I'm sorry if this seems like a lore dump, but I wasn't sure how to go about this story in a different way than other Group Chat stories, so I hope you readers are fine with this style and don't mind it too much. This is also a learning process for me much like how they're learning to deal with whatever unusual chaos they're thrown.

You readers are welcome to comment what you think!

I'm still not entirely sure about this story, so updates will be rare, depending on how much I write and if I like how the story progression goes, nonetheless, I hope you readers enjoy, see ya next update!
