The new recruits were all naive morons, but he was secretly grateful for it, even if he’d never admit it. It meant people could still be naive morons, even in the middle of all this death and hate and ash.
“Yeah, but you’re still in charge of them,” his friend replied, spinning around in his chair to get a proper look at him. Despite his friend knowing why he didn’t use their names, here he was, insisting Izuku do it anyway. “They need something to look up to. You’re their biggest source of morale right now. The least you could do is bother to learn their names before we ask them to charge into the gates of hell to face the devil himself.”
